==Mythology==
Prior to the invasion of [[Svartálfaheimr]] by the [[Muspels]], Eldi was the foreman of a clan of dwarven smiths. He was visited by [[Loki]] and [[Baldr]] who asked him to craft an exquisite bejeweled crown (though on some tales it was a necklace instead). With rumors of a brewing war, Eldi had to be convinced by the pair to use his time into such a distraction.
