'''Dmitry Karakozov''' (1840 – 1866) was a [[Russia]]n political activist who became known as the first revolutionary in the [[Russian Empire]] to make an attempt on the life of a {{Wiki|tsar}}. He was one of the young apprentices inducted by the [[British Brotherhood of Assassins|British Assassin]] [[Simeon Price]] during the [[Assassin]]'s time in Russia.

In 1866, he made a failed attempt to assassinate Tsar [[Alexander II of Russia|Alexander II]] and was hanged for his crime, while his friends and accomplices were sent to either prison, hard lobor, or exile in [[Siberia]].<ref name="RP">''[[Assassin's Creed: The Engine of History – The Resurrection Plot]]''</ref>
