The '''Descendants of the Round Table''' were a secretive organization that consisted of a group of people who claim to have, either by blood or by belief, lineage dating back to King [[Arthur Pendragon]] and his [[Knights of the Round Table]].

==History==
In the 5th century, the hidden organization was formed under [[Mordred]]<ref name="Chapter 12">''[[Assassin's Creed: Valhalla – Sword of the White Horse]]'' — Chapter 12</ref>, an advisor and one of the traitors to King Arthur.<ref>{{WP|Mordred}}</ref> Under Mordred, the main goal of the organization was to obtain and utilize Arthur's [[Swords of Eden|sword]], [[Excalibur]], as a means to control and rule all of [[England]]. Foes to the [[Women of the Mist]], the Descendants' bloodlines also stemmed from the outcast priestesses of the clan, thus giving more claim to Excalibur. Time passed as the organization kept fighting against the Women of the Mist, especially trying to invade their land of [[Avalon]]. Knowing Niamh's face, the Descendants kept their eyes on the witch-warrior, Eivor, and the Hidden Ones as they corresponded with their ally, the Order, about obtaining Excalibur.<ref name="Chapter 16">''Assassin's Creed: Valhalla – Sword of the White Horse'' — Chapter 16</ref> Soon, the Descendants, along with the Order, set their eyes and soldiers on Niamh, who recently stole and acquired Excalibur from Eivor.<ref name="Chapter 18">''Assassin's Creed: Valhalla – Sword of the White Horse'' — Chapter 18</ref> The Descendants sent an assassin to kill Niamh and to take Excalibur from her, but to no avail. Days past, the Descendants soon followed, within an audience, Niamh apparently being chased by both Hytham and Valka, who acquired "Excalibur" from Niamh.<ref name="Chapter 22">''Assassin's Creed: Valhalla – Sword of the White Horse'' — Chapter 22</ref> However, a Descendant followed Valka and Hytham to the "[[Hwithors|White Horse]]," where Excalibur was being offered as a sacrifice for Valka's [[Norse mythology|gods]]. Once the blót occurred, the Descendant shouted out for Mordred as he began to attack Valka. However, he was blocked by Hytham as he saw the sword melt in front of him. Horrified, the Descendant soldier was quickly killed by Hytham and tossed down the hill.<ref name="Chapter 23">''Assassin's Creed: Valhalla – Sword of the White Horse'' — Chapter 23</ref> After the apparent destruction of Excalibur, the Descendants' organization completely crumbled as their goal was no longer viable.<ref name="Chapter 25">''Assassin's Creed: Valhalla – Sword of the White Horse'' — Chapter 25</ref>
