'''Chad''' was an [[Anglo-Saxons|Anglo-Saxon]] man from [[York|Jorvik]], [[Yorkshire|Eurvicscire]] in the 9th century. 

In the 870s, Chad worked under a [[Norse people|Norse]] employer, [[Burk]], and was blinded after Burk accused him of theft of his goods. Making his way below a bridge, he was soon stranded. Luckily, [[Vikings|Viking]] [[Eivor Varinsdottir]] of the [[Raven Clan]] heard his pleas for help. Eivor carried him back to the bridge, where they were met by Burk. Despite Chad's testimony contradicting Burk's accusations, Burk told ahold of Chad and thanked Eivor for her help.
