A '''cape''' is a sleeveless outer garment which hangs loosely from one or both shoulders of the wearer, falling behind them to cover a length of their back. While some capes may afford minimal protection, they are mainly worn as a fashion symbol or like a personalized banner displaying the wearer's allegiances.
