==History==
In 1348, the plague visited the [[Germany|German]] city of [[Essen]], wiping out nearly half the town's population. The [[Brothers of the Cross]], a [[Templars|Templar Order]] front, traveled throughout the German countryside promising protection from the disease. The [[Assassins|Assassin]] [[Lukas Zurburg]] suspected that they were after the [[Ankh]], a [[Piece of Eden|Piece]] of [[Eden]] that purportedly could heal the sick and raise the dead and was said to have been lost somewhere in Central Europe.
