The '''Fujibayashi clan''' (藤林氏) was a [[Japan|Japanese]] clan which originated and flourished in [[Iga]] during the 16th century. Originally a clan of modest farming beginnings, the clan became important members of the [[Iga ikki|Iga ''ikki'']] and later, the [[Japanese Brotherhood of Assassins|Kakushiba ''ikki'']] when [[Fujibayashi Nagato|Nagato]], a {{Wiki|jizamurai}}, was recruited into the group and married [[Fujibayashi Tsuyu|Tsuyu]].<ref name="The Meaning of the Blade">''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]]'' – [[The Meaning of the Blade]]</ref> Despite Nagato's attempts, his daughter [[Fujibayashi Naoe|Naoe]] also became a member of the Iga ''ikki'' and participated in the defense of Iga during [[Oda Nobunaga]]'s [[Tenshō Iga War|invasion]] of the region.<ref name="Fight of the Kakushiba Ikki">''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]]'' – [[Fight of the Kakushiba Ikki]]</ref>
