The Coyote Man (real name:Ta:kane'tla) was an Animi Avatar used by the entertainment branch of Abstergo Industries, as part of their plan to influence the general public, via the console stage of the Animus technology. He became available once a system update had been installed, and his specialty weapon was a shank, made from sharpened bone.

Unique moves
Low Profile, Front

Approaching his target, the Coyote Man brutally kicks them in their left knee. While his victim grasps at their possibly-broken limb, the Coyote Man takes the opportunity to slash the right of their abdomen with his shank and then fluidly impales their heart from behind with it. Pulling his weapon back out, he watches sadistically as his target's body falls to the floor.

Low Profile, Back

Walking up behind his target, the Coyote Man stabs his shank into their back. As his victim recoils in agony, he spins around in a full circle and slashes his weapon across their side, opening a deep wound while they collapse to the floor from their severed spine.

High Profile, Front

Running up to his target, the Coyote Man hastily removes his shank and cruelly stabs it down into their leg. From there, he rips his weapon out and bounds over their back as they keel over from his first strike. With his dagger still in hand, the Coyote Man plants it under his victim's chin, fatally impaling their brain and leaving them to bleed on the ground.

High Profile, Back

Rushing over to his target from behind, the Coyote Man leaps and forcefully pushes them down towards the floor. As they are rendered defenseless, he rides his victim into the ground and withdraws his shank, alternating between bashing their back with his fist and stabbing them. After peppering them with multiple wounds and blows, the Coyote Man stands up, satisfied with the bloody result.

Bench Kill

The Coyote Man grabs his seated target's foot and drags them off the bench, until their head rests against it. Before his victim can do anything to defend themselves, he forcefully kicks them in the face, violently sending their head backwards and breaking his target's neck on the bench behind them.

Aerial Kill

Leaping from a rooftop, the Coyote Man removes his shank in mid-air, before landing on his target and planting the weapon into their head. Standing up, he stores his dagger away at his belt, following which he leaves his victim on the ground to die.

Taunts
*"Challenge me!"
*The Coyote Man shares the same High Profile animations as the Ottoman Jester.
**Also, similarly to the Ottoman Jester, the Coyote Man was shown in artwork with two daggers, though his in-game character model excludes one.
*As the Coyote Man's Champion Pack was the "Iktomi Follower", it may suggest that he hailed from Lakota people origin.
**Accompanying this, coyotes are also associated with plains and the Lakota people.
Sibrand (1157 - 1191) was the leader of the Knights Teutonic, and secretly a member of the Templar Order. He was the seventh of the nine Templars killed by the Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad.

Like his Templar brothers, Sibrand's death was commanded by Al Mualim. As the Grand Master of the Knights Teutonic, Sibrand held authority over the port area of Acre's middle district, until his death in 1191.

Biography
Teutonic leader
By 1191, Sibrand had become the Grand Master of the Knights Teutonic. Having obtained this position of great power, Sibrand was desperate to remain in charge, and would do anything to prevent his power from slipping away.

As he was incapable of securing his position, Sibrand became plagued by paranoia of conspiracies and plots against him, so much so that he unnecessarily doubled the patrols, and even threatened to pull knights from battle to protect him.

He remained consistently vigilant, searching for signs of trouble. He took control of the docks in the city of Acre, where he also acquired the services of many ships. He planned to use these vessels to form a blockade that would prevent the "fool" Kings and Queens from sending aid once the Templars initiated their plan to usurp control of the Holy Land.

Sibrand joined the Templars around this time, and was one of the men that guarded the Apple of Eden's secrets and capabilities.

Death
Having locked himself away in Acre's docks, Sibrand waited to perform his role in the "liberation" of the Holy Land. He patrolled the district, scolding two guards he came across, and threatening to double their shifts if they would not get back to their posts. Unknown to him, the Assassin Altaïr eavesdropped on him, to prepare for his assassination.

Sibrand then moved to the docks themselves and, remembering the white-robed Assassin that had been hunting his brothers, began to publicly abuse and torment a scholar, who was clothed similarly to the Assassins. After taunting and eventually killing the scholar, Sibrand warned the citizens not to aid the Assassins.

Sibrand then donned his horned helmet, and set off for his personal ship, unaware that Altaïr was navigating his way through the docks, and towards his ship.

In his manic refusal to be killed, the Templar began wildly firing arrows in every direction, all the while shouting loudly that he would take care of the Assassins himself if no one else would. Altaïr stealthily climbed aboard the ship as he did, and put an end to Sibrand's life.

With his last breath, Sibrand explained the role assigned to him by the Brotherhood, and claimed that he had proof that nothing waited for him after his life. Having told the Assassin all he knew, Sibrand perished.

Personality and characteristics
At the time he was appointed as the Grand Master of the Teutonics, Sibrand was a fierce man, who never failed to strike fear into the crowds. He was both a skilled swordsman and archer, making him a dangerous opponent. However, as he witnessed more of his Templar brothers dying, he became paranoid and cowardly.

His paranoia became such a burden to him that he doubled the patrols in his district and even killed men, simply for wearing clothes that were similar to the Assassins' garments. Sibrand always kept a keen eye on the crowds surrounding him, always expecting his murderer to emerge from them.

Like his fellow Templars, Sibrand did not believe in a god or an afterlife, claiming that the Piece of Eden had been proof otherwise. He feared death, believing that there was nothing to await him once he passed away.

Final words
*Sibrand: Please, don't do this.
*Altaïr: You are afraid.
*Sibrand: Of course I am afraid!
*Altaïr: But you'll be safe now. Held in the arms of your God.
*Sibrand: Have my brothers taught you nothing? I know what waits for me, for all of us.
*Altaïr: If not your God, then what?
*Sibrand: Nothing. Nothing waits. And that is what I fear.
*Altaïr: You don't believe.
*Sibrand: How could I given what I know? What I've seen? Our treasure was the proof.
*Altaïr: Proof of what?
*Sibrand: That this life is all we have!
*Altaïr: Linger a while longer then, and tell me of the part you were to play.
*Sibrand: A blockade by sea, to keep the fool kings and queens from sending reinforcements. Once we... once we...
*Altaïr: Conquered the Holy Land?
*Sibrand: Freed it, you fool! From the tyranny of faith.
*Altaïr: Freedom?! You worked to overthrow cities, control men's minds, murdered any who spoke against you!
*Sibrand: I followed my orders, believing in my cause. Same as you.

Trivia
*Like Garnier de Naplouse and Robert de Sable, Sibrand was a historical leader of the Knights Teutonic. The Teutonic Order was governed by a "Meister Sibrand" between 1190 and 1192.
*Sibrand is the only target in Assassin's Creed that can be seen during an investigation memory, though he disappears once the cutscene has finished.
*It was possible to throw Sibrand into the water, though doing so caused desynchronization.
*A glitch may occur, during which Sibrand may not be wearing the helmet he put on after killing the scholar.
*Like Talal in Jerusalem and Jubair al Hakim in Damascus, vigilantes attempted to stop Sibrand if he tried to escape from the docks.
Unknown to many, Jubair secretly became a Templar at some point in his life. He and nine other Templars guarded the secrets of the Piece of Eden.

Also known as the head of "The Illuminated," Jubair al Hakim was the Chief Scholar of Damascus and led his fellow scholars. However, the Templar ideology caused his view of literature to turn into a hatred. Rather than seeking knowledge, The Illuminated began hunting down and incinerating all sources of written knowledge within Damascus, believing the documents to be the source of evil and hatred in the world. They blamed the war between the Saracens and the Crusaders on written documents, as it was the Bible that drove the Crusades.

Jubair al Hakim had disdain for the works of many writers such as Plato and Socrates. He was a ruthless man, with little tolerance towards any who opposed him. He believed that the illness of learning had to be eliminated, because it fixed people in their ways, preventing them from finding their true calling.

Death
In 1191, Altaïr made his way to Damascus to take the life of the Chief Scholar, and after several investigations, in which he learned of the plans to burn books, he sought out Jubair.

Altaïr witnessed Jubair and a few of his followers in a courtyard, adding scripts to a roaring fire. While the rest of his followers added fuel, a man started arguing with Jubair, claiming the scripts to be gifts, not curses. Jubair asked the man if he truly loved his books, to which the scholar responded that he did.

In a burst of rage, Jubair pushed the man onto the pile of burning scripts and watched him die. After asking the rest of his followers if anyone wished to join him, the scholars set out to conduct book burnings throughout the city.

Altaïr had to track down the actual Jubair among dozens of his followers wearing the same uniform, though eventually he found Jubair near the Madrasah Al-Kallāsah conducting a book burning. Unsuspecting and unaware of the nearby Assassin, Altaïr quickly killed him with his hidden blade in the courtyard. With his dying words, Jubair claimed that he merely sought to free people from the books, which he believed made them ignorant and foolish, so that they could think for themselves again.

Personality and characteristics
Jubair was a man of strong beliefs, who had faith in his cause, as well as that of the Templars'. Believing people to be too dependent on scriptures, he decided to burn all written texts in Damascus, intent on freeing the people of their ignorance.

Despite his plans to burn all of the literature, Jubair was an intelligent man. He did not follow orders simply because they were given to him, but he acted on his own thoughts, having given the subject adequate thought. He justified his actions by stating the war between King Richard and Saladin had been started by ancient scrolls, and that the world would have been better without them.

However, Jubair was also a violent man, who was easily angered and would not allow anything to get in his way. When one of his disciples doubted his actions, Jubair didn't hesitate to throw him onto the pile of burning books, and he even went so far as to watch how his former companion suffered a painful death in the flames.

Final words
*Jubair: Why? Why have you done this?
*Altaïr: Men must be free to do what they believe. It is not our right to punish one for thinking what they do, no matter how much we disagree.
*Jubair: Then what?
*Altaïr: You of all people should know the answer. Educate them. Teach them right from wrong. It must be knowledge that frees them, not force.
*Jubair: They do not learn, fixed in their ways as they are. You are naive to think otherwise. It's an illness, for which there is but one cure.
*Altaïr: You're wrong. And that's why you must be put to rest.
*Jubair: Am I not unlike those precious books you seek to save? A source of knowledge with which you disagree? Yet you're rather quick to steal my life.
*Altaïr: A small sacrifice to save many. It is necessary.
*Jubair: Is it not ancient scrolls that inspire the Crusaders? That fill Salahadin and his men with a sense of righteous fury? Their texts endanger others, bring death in their wake. I too, was making a small sacrifice. It matters little now. Your deed is done, and so am I.

Trivia
*Jubair al Hakim may have been inspired by the Arab-Spanish geographer, traveler, and poet Ibn Jubayr.
*Like Talal and Sibrand, vigilantes would stop Jubair if he attempted to flee.
*The name "Jubair" means "The forced one", which may refer to his actions through force. In Arabic, "Al Hakim" means "The wise one."
