Taken by her charms, Tarik eventually arranged for her release to work as an envoy for the Janissaries, half out of kindness and half hoping this would win Dilara’s affections. It did not, and became a source of much grief for Tarik in his later years.

In March of 1512, she met with Ezio Auditore, whilst posing as a slave in Cappadocia. During that time, she was captured and imprisoned by [[Shahkulu]], as other Ottoman spies had been. He would personally kill every prisoner by beating them to death. The stack of corpses was creating a stench in the prison. Ezio, however, was able to save Dilara after stealing the keys to the cell she was in from one of the guards at the market place. Once rescued, she furiously went after Shahkulu when Ezio informed her that he was going to perform one of his public beatings infront of the chapel in Cappadocia.

There, several of Tarik Barleti's spies were captured. Being Ottoman Turks, Shahkulu personal killed everyone of them, by beating each one to death. In 1512, after a meeting with who, Manuel consulted Shahkulu of his torture on the Ottoman spies, he demanded that his men bring several more spies to the chapel, where he intended to kill more by beating them to death. However, this received the attention of [[Ezio Auditore da Firenze]]. One of the spies captured was [[Dilara]], who was posing a peasant; she was eventually rescued by Ezio.

Shortly, a crowd gathered at the chapel where Shahkulu was to perform another one of his public killings. Shahkulu came onto the courtyard of the chapel, and immediately began beating the Ottoman prisoners to death. However, Ezio attempted to assassinate Shahkulu from above with his [[hidden blade]]. Ezio told Shahkulu that he deserved no pity for his sadism. However, Shahkulu's armor from a killing blow, and began to strangle Ezio. Throwing Ezio aside, Shahkulu proceeded to duel the Assassin. However, Shahkulu was bested and killed by Ezio.

In 1512, she met with Ezio Auditore when he arrived in Cappadocia. During that time, she was captured and imprisoned by [[Shahkulu]], as other Ottoman spies had been. He would personally kill every prisoner by beating them to death. The stack of corpses was creating a stench in the prison. Ezio, however, was able to save Dilara after stealing the keys to the cell she was in from one of the guards at the market place. Once rescued, she furiously went after Shahkulu when Ezio informed her that he was going to perform one of his public beatings infront of the chapel in Cappadocia.

Back then, they painted women that looked more like men in drag because they didn't necessarily focus on the facial differences between male and female until around the 17th century. I just saw a clip of her on youtube. She doesn't look anything like the Durer painting. I don't understand why people were saying she was based off of it. She's pretty but doesn't look anything like it. It's weird; Ezio has finally met the woman who will bare his children.
