Kanathséton was a Mohawk village that was located in the Mohawk Valley during the 18th century.

It was the birthplace of Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton, and was built around the area of the Grand Temple's entrance in order to keep it safe.

History
Built by the beginning of the 18th century, the village was occupied by the Mohawk people, which were a part of the Iroquois Confederation. Built upon the ruins of the Grand Temple's entrance, it was used to protect the area indiscriminately. The village also held a Piece of Eden known as the Crystal Ball, which the people used to speak to Juno through a Nexus.

Sometime during the French and Indian War, the village was burned down by George Washington and his soldiers in order to diminish possible threat based on the Native Americans working with the French against the British Army. During this burning, Ratonhnhaké:ton's mother, Kaniehtí:io, was killed, leaving a profound desire for justice in his heart.

During the American Revolutionary War, George Washington once more planned to destroy the village, based off a lead that the Mohawk people were working with the British in the war. Not far outside of it, he had stationed several soldiers prepared to attack. Ratonhnhaké:ton, who went back and killed the messengers, as well as stop his own people from attacking, stopped the initial plans though.

Following the end of the war, the village was abandoned in order to compensate for the growing colonies. In their stead, a frontiersman began to live there as the colonial cities expanded, as well as two native children.

Layout
The village consisted of six separate longhouses within its walls, as well as a spacious zone with log-seats and a fire. The walls themselves had three different openings, two on the right (from the inside) and another at the front. These gates surrounded the entire village up to the water at the end. Near this lake were several canoes, presumably used for fishing purposes, and thress small farm-like areas.

Before the inhabitants left, the clearing with the flame also had an area where animals were skinned, as well as a few pots. There, the people continued their ordinary tasks. Following however, the only remains were a few of the pots and the seats.

Trivia
*Following the migration of the Mohawk people, two different people occasionally wander the village, different people depending on the time.
*After Connor speaks with the Frontiersman for the mission, the man can be seen sitting on the stump for the rest of the game, and has no interactions.
