About that "how can that French and Indian war can be credited to Haytham". I think you didn't get my point. My point was British won that war and Templars sided with them. In fact Haytham, and Shay in particular helped them on many occasions (on major historical events, capturing settlments, destroying french war effort... To a point that it can be said they helped them a lot. And that was a war that made Britan #1 superpower in the world. And Haytham was the Grand Master of that time. So by your logic the victory can't be credited to the "commander in chief"?

I wouldn't say Haytham has done little for the Templar cause, or that he didn't leave much of a Legacy, or that he isn't legendary Templar. Quite the contrary.

Under his leadership Templars destroyed Colonial Assassins who were much more powerfull than Templars at that time. Templars were not even "offically" present in the colonies. He established the Order and lead them to victory. During French and Indian war Templars supported the British who achived total victory in that theater of war. And under his leadership American revolution was orchstarted. And he died trying to accomplish his goals. And his own son was messing them up and I think (and its heavelly implied in the game) that he still tried to reason Connor and that he still cared about him and that this might be one of the reasons why Assassins prevailed over Templars. Sure he didn't open that "Temple" from AC3 , but I wouldn't count that as too much of a failure. And at the end of the revolution, sure all the Templars were dead but I didn't feel them as "losers". Maybe because I haven't felt like Connor and the Assassins are "winners" either.
