Hey. You can't correct spelling in a file link, that breaks them. Check the Piece of Eden page and see if you can find what you did wrong. -- D. Cello 21:55, February 12, 2010 (UTC)
:The POE page has been completely rewritten, so you wouldn't find it by now. But i is completelly different from ï. They are two different characters. So you like Gohan, eh? I'm more of a Goku fan, but I practically like any Saiyan and main villain. The reason I like Ezio better is because of his cape and added weapons. As a person, I like Ezio still because he doesn't seem to have as much arrogance as Altair did in the beginning of the first game. I'm actually playing the first game now, and I still have to assassinate Jubair Al-Hakim. 01:35, February 22, 2010 (UTC)

I was more of a Goku fan in the beginning, but when Gohan turned Super Saiyan two I was sold on him. And I started to really like him when he became a teenager, though not when he was acting goofy like in the Saiyaman saga. Well in case of Ezio and Altaïr, I really don't dig the cape, seriously! I almost hate it! I just think it ruins the outfit. As for personality. I agree, Altaïr was arrogant, but he learned great wisdom and hummility by becoming demoted. It still sounds subjective, from Desmond's point of view. It is not mentioned in game, and strategy guides are not canonical. They are written by an outside source. AgentValentine 14:14, February 22, 2010 (UTC)
I disagree, but if DC says so, fine. But it needs to be rephrased, because it is still objective. Hello there PAGENAME, I recently took the time to create a Watercooler forum post detailing my proposed attribution policy, which I hope the wiki will be willing to adopt by this time next week. If you could be so kind as to look over the policy and cast your vote (or comment on any changes) you can do so by following this link; Forum:Sourcing articles. Also, would you kindly pass on this post too as many users as possible, so that the vote might represent the true number of contributors to the wiki. == Couple of questions ==

Ok, so I beat the first Assassin's Creed and I was wondering if you can clear some stuff up for me:

1) How do I assassinate Robert de Sable at Arsuf in the same manner as it is shown in his picture on this article?

2) How do we know Altair became the Grand Master of the Assassins (if it is cleared up in Assassin's Creed II, try to explain without spoilers)?

3) Is there anything to do after the credits beside revisiting the Animus and looking at the symbols?

22:20, February 25, 2010 (UTC)

1) I'm not sure where the problem is. You mean you want to stab him? Doesn't that happen automatically when you win the fight?

2) Well it is revealed, but I'm not even sure if that was in bloodlines or ACII, but there can be no doubt about it.

3) No there's nothing else to do, I think you can enter another room, with a different computer, where you might read more concerning the pieces of eden and their location. Other than that there's nothing left to do I think Altaïr February 25, 2010 (UTC))

:*In the picture it shows Altair stabbing him in a much different fashion then when you stab other assassination targets in the back. Do you have any idea on how to do this? 02:07, February 26, 2010 (UTC)

Myeah I'm sorry but I don't think I can help you with that. Maybe it depends of where you stand or I think it's possible because he is only fighting with his hidden blade. I'm not sure if that is possible, though I am sure you can fight with the hidden blade in the second one. Cause if you fight only with your sword, then it automatically switches like to a video where he gets stabbed with the hidden blade anyway, so maybe that doesn't happen when you just use the hidden blade, though I can't remember if that is possible. From what I remember if you tried it, when an enemy saw you they would always block your arms and prevent you from stabbing him.Altaïr February 26, 2010 (UTC))
Hey Cedric since you'rre the main person to correct what I write in the Maria Thorpe page, do you think it's a good idea for me to leave it alone? PassiveNeoluna 00:35, March 8, 2010 (UTC)

I don't think so. I mean, if I say so myself, we make a good team. You're a very dedicated writer here on this Wikia and you're very good. I'm from time to time just correcting spelling mistakes, but my grammar isn't fantastic, which you are far better in. So that's something I would surely like to have you on board with for. -- Altaïr March 8, 2010 (UTC)

Okay then I'll keep doing whatever I'm doing. I try to be accurate with content, though I'm mainly a grammar editor. By the way, do you know which is the proper tense used for Wikia? Past or present? PassiveNeoluna 01:19, March 8, 2010 (UTC)

Past imo. I mean we're talking about historical figures or fictional figures from the past. However I'm not sure if we should do the same for the present, which is actually the future. (2012) When we write about Desmond and such, should we write in present? Let's leave it past for now I think. -- Altaïr March 8, 2010 (UTC)

Okay thanks for clarifying. PassiveNeoluna 01:32, March 8, 2010 (UTC)
2012 is the present. All rest is past. -- D. Cello 23:13, March 10, 2010 (UTC)

So an article like Desmond's, should it be written in present tense? Cause after all we are telling a story that already happened in the games. So it's like it already happened. It depends on the context I guess. If you're talking about the content of the games I would keep it in past tense, but to talk about his personality and such, then we could place it in present tense, just to make it clear that 2012 is the present, as you said. -- Altaïr March 11, 2010 (UTC)

Al, I've got an idea. I remember he corrected a lot of those grammar things moths back, maybe he's up to help it. Say I gave you green light to do it, with no deadline. Just get to it if and when you can and make one, alright? -- D. Cello 00:47, March 11, 2010 (UTC)

Cedric a disrespectful user vandalised my user page, could you roll it back to when I last edited it? PassiveNeoluna 00:32, April 20, 2010 (UTC)

Nevermind I fixed it myself, but the user should locked for awhile. PassiveNeoluna 00:37, April 20, 2010 (UTC)

*Well I fixed one earlier, who replaced a line with 'I DON'T CARE!' on your page. I don't know what else had been done. Unfortunately unregistered users can't be banned that easily from the wikia --Altaïr 02:40, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
Okay and thanks for fixing my page when you did. PassiveNeoluna 00:53, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
:Actually they can, and I did it. He shouldn't be a problem anymore, Neoluna.<br />Al, do you need help with banning and blocking users? Call me if you have any doubts. ;D -- D. Cello 01:08, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
*Yeah some education how to ban unregistered users would be welcome in case there's more vandalism. I've already dealt with it a lot, but I've never been able to ban anyone, cause most of them commiting vandalism are unregistered users. --Altaïr 03:17, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
:Sure.<br />
Under the "Contributions" bar in a user page, you can find the following:
<pre>From the Assassin's Creed Wiki
For "USERorIPhere" (Talk | block | block log | logs | Deleted user contributions)</pre>
Clicking the block button, you are taked to a page with the user's name/IP, the duration you want to block (or ban) them, the reason why and other options. Even if someone isn't registered, you can do exactly the same for the same effect. -- D. Cello 01:25, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
*Okay thx, and how long do you usually ban someone for vandalism? Is it permanently, depending if they are registered or not? -- Altaïr 03:31, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
:I don't follow a policy for it. Usually when it's an offensive or extensive vand, or when there's a removal of content, I block for a year. Only very minor things like title changes to non offensive words are blocked with 3 days or a week by me. But Silver has a different choice of lenght, I usually only enter the action when heavy action is needed.<br />So, yeah, choose how long you think it's worth. Vandals don't add anything to us anyway. -- D. Cello 04:59, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
Al, remember: every time you revert a vandalism, you have to block the vandal. -- D. Cello 01:41, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

*Well D.Cello is the only Bureaucrat. So it is safe to ask him first yes. Btw if you have the time. Could you take a look at this article. It's still in the work, but if you could check the grammar on it, I would appreciate it: Rise and Fall of Altaïr - Altaïr 00:21, April 26, 2010 (UTC)
Free Running or freerunning is a form of acrobatics in which participants, known as free runners, use the city and urban landscape to perform movements through its structures. It is one of the core gameplay mechanics of the Assassin's Creed series. It derived from the French parkour, l'art du déplacement (English: the art of moving) but is now considered as a separate discipline: Parkour emphasizes efficiency, whilst free running embodies complete freedom of movement which allows the inclusion of many acrobatic manoeuvres (often for aesthetics and challenges). In this way, the movements Altaïr and Ezio perform can rather be considered as Parkour while referred as Free running in the game and by the developers. Characters in the game also use many movements of the Parkour discipline such as Passe-muraille, Balancé, Saut de bras, Planche... etc.
Movements
Assassin's Creed
Altaïr can climb up any wall if its surface is not too flat, having anything he can grab to (windows, cracks, ledges...). In addition, he can use many of the parkour movements:

Balancé
Balancé (Swing) is a movement where you swing on a bar and let go to grab another object or to drop to the ground.

Lâché
Lâché (Drop) is the act of dropping from a hanging position or a bar.

Passe-muraille
Passe-muraille (Wallpass) is the climbing of a tall wall by kicking its surface once to propel upward.

Planche
Planche (Muscle-up or Climb-up) is the movement of climbing an obstacle from a hanging position into a position where your upper body is above the obstacle, supported by the arms.

Roulade
Roulade (Roll) is a forward roll where the hands, arms and diagonal of the back contact the ground, often called breakfall. Used primarily to transfer the momentum/energy from jumps and to minimize impact, preventing a painful landing.

Saut de bras
Saut de bras (Arm jump) is to land on the side of an obstacle in a hanging position, the hands gripping the top edge, holding the body, ready to perform a muscle up.

Saut de fond
Saut de fond is a jump from a high height usually followed by a roll.

Saut de détente
Saut de détente (Gap jump, running jump) is similar to a long jump.

Saut de précision
Saut de précision (Precision jump) is a static or moving jump from one object to a precise spot on another object of a small surface such as low walls. It is usually done with the feet close together but nobody in the games does it in this way.
Vaulting
Vaulting is the use of hands to traverse over an object, this is a little-advertised skill in Assassin's creed I and is unconfirmed whether it is in Assassin's Creed II. Shown here:
thumb|300px|right|Uplay Help - Assassin's Creed II: Parkour Tutorial
In addition to all the movements of Assassin's Creed, the second episode has some new ones.

Fast Climb
By holding the High Profile trigger, Ezio can climb up the building much faster than his ancestor Altaïr. However, the scheme of the ledges he will grab must be regular.

Climb Leap
This movement is first shown by Rosa and allows Ezio to grab an out-of-reach handhold by performing a vertical jump while climbing. Being wounded, she makes a fellow thief teach Ezio how to do the movement:

Trivia
*There is a bug in Assassin's Creed and Assassin's Creed II when sometimes even citizens or regular guards perform some freerunning movements that only Assassins can do. This bug mostly occurs when the NPC appears on a building or higher platform.
*In-game hints in Assassin's Creed II, also suggest looking for white sheets, as stacked boxes that serve as a starting point for Free Running will always have those hanging over them.

The Truth is a sidequest in Assassin's Creed II that can be unlocked by uncovering glyphs throughout the world, and solving the puzzles that accompany each glyph. There are 20 in all, and successfully unlocking each one will give a bit more insight into the Origins of the Templars, the Assassins, and the Piece of Eden.

In the video, a naked Adam and Eve are seen running from something. They move through an open area which may be The Garden of Eden. The scenery is a mixture between flora, a shiny blue material that resembles glass, and a white surface which sounds like stone. The garden is decorated in a very futuristic style which is a strong contrast against the biblical setting. Moving through a circular automatic door, Adam and Eve use free-running (similar to that used by the Assassins) to climb a large, futuristic looking building. While they are climbing the building, a shadow of a huge humanoid and apparently floating being can be seen holding a Piece of Eden to control several human slaves. These workers appear to be in an environment similar to that of a metal refinery, with one slave in the foreground clearly using a hammer to shape a metal object. The brief appearance of the shadow is visually similar to Minerva, sharing the flowing clothes and glowing emblem on the headwear. Adam and Eve continue climbing until they reach the roof of the building. The camera zooms outwards, revealing many other futuristic buildings surrounding them. Further in the background, a mountain is clearly visible, while there is little other elevation in land elsewhere. The terrain is lush, and large forest boundaries are visible. Eve can then be seen to be holding a Piece of Eden. Eve then says "Adam, I have it!", Adam acknowledges Eve, and she then yells: "Look out!" as an unknown, unseen person appears behind them. The memory suddenly ends, and binary code flashes up. The numbers read: "EDEN"

These glyphs are based upon the markings left behind in Assassin's Creed, which were left behind by Subject 16, and written in his blood. Many of these glyphs can be recognized as the Cryptic Messages from the previous game, and can only be seen with Eagle Vision .

Trivia
*It is very interesting to note and speculate how Subject 16 managed to get a hold of this video. It is also very probable (considering 16's strong knowledge on the subject) that he knew a lot more than what the video depicted, considering at one Glyph he says "There, do you see what's going on...? *Sigh* not yet, but you will". Meaning that he might have known a lot about the events that appeared in the video, and beyond.

*Altaïr himself saw the video at one point in his life. As in one of the codex pages, he says the video is the most troubling thing his eyes have ever witnessed. It is clear that he had watched the video, possibly shown to him by the Apple of Eden, describing all the things that happen in the video. Speaking of screaming that still echoes in his mind, flame and fire, and tall metal towers that are overlooked by a mountain. Oddly enough, he does not actually mention or reference to Adam and Eve in any way while speaking of it. This may be due to the fact, as explained in other Codex Pages, that Ältair is stubbornly refusing to believe in the Old Testament and it's explanations, including the creational theory, so he denies these two people being the Adam and Eve of the Bible. This may also explain how Subject 16 knows about the video, if 16 is another descendant of Altaïr, then it's possible Abstergo ripped the content of this video through the Animus, as the same glitches show up through the video when Desmond was in the Animus. Subject 16 likely saw the same as Altaïr, and succeeded to obtain the data Abstergo ripped from his memory and hid it for others to find, nevertheless, 16's knowledge on the matter seems to be larger on scale then what the video showed.

*It looks like the mountain in the background is Mount Kilimanjaro, as the mountain is visually identical to the mountain. The image appears to be taken from the one in Wikimedia, except that it's horizontally flipped. This also makes sense because Mount Kilimanjaro is in Africa, and the origins of humans are said to be in Africa, more specifically mid-Africa, which is also roughly the location of Kilimanjaro. Also, one of the dots on the codex map in AC2 is in Africa, at roughly the area of Mount Kilimanjaro. Further adding to this theory is that Lucy herself said that Vidic tagged events in the Middle East and Ancient Africa.

*It's possible that Subject 16 is a descendant of Adam and Eve and that Altair ( along with Ezio and Desmond since they are both descendants of Altair) could be related to Adam and Eve.

*It is possible that the video is taken from a time period predating the war that Minerva referred to, when humans were enslaved by 'Those Who Came Before'. It is likely then that Adam and Eve escaping Eden (the haven in which 'gods' and humans lived) sparked the human rebellion which led to the cataclysmic event also mentioned by Minerva

*At the end of the video, a block of binary code can be seen briefly. The code is "01000101 01000100 01000101 01001110" which translates as EDEN.
*The viewing angle of the camera might be Subject 16. These events are supposed to have happened in the past, so it is possible that if Subject 16 is really desecended from Adam and Eve, he could use the Animus to go back in time and live these events. It also says that this is Session 12 in the Animus at the start of the video.
*Adam is voiced by Nolan North, the same voice actor who voices Desmond. Likely he was voiced by the same person to show the link between Desmond and Adam, as he seems to be his descendent.
