The Mercenary was just that, he didn't fight for the templars... he was paid by the templars to provide mercenaries (It is implied in PL that he did not ever fight for them himself. The Privateer, his bio even says he has no ties to any factions... you give him gold he gives a space on his ship. And of course Fiore defected to the Assassins. So there are those that were not Agents, just contacts. Hey All, I was just looking at the Subject 17 family tree on AC:R MP Dossier files and while it is very hard to read, While most 'branches' say unknown the one under Domeinco has a name, and it does look like it is Ilario Auditore. Not only this, every name other Auditore/Ibn La'Ahad name can be ''just ''read, I can see Mario and Giovanni, with an unknown father, But there is an unknown head of the tree (The sailor/assassin father of Domenico) then Domenico and then 'Something' Auditore And it looks like it may be Ilario, both in appearance (of writing) and being the only known Auditore without a known place in the family tree.
