As [[Abstergo Industries|Abstergo]]'s [[Animus]] [[Abstergo recruits|recruits]] progressed through the [[Animi Training Program]], select individuals were chosen to progress to the [[Assassin's Creed: Revelations|second stage]], as they had an increased adoption rate for the skills which the scheme aimed to instill into their subjects via the [[Bleeding effect]]. Following this, they would be supported by Abstergo via [[Abstergo Files|documents and videos]] into becoming Master [[Templars]].

Like the [[Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood|first stage]] operated, influential Templars from the [[Renaissance]] period were selected for use as '''Animi Avatars'''. In some Avatars, their historical counterparts were found and assassinated by the [[Assassins|Assassin]] [[Ezio Auditore da Firenze|Ezio Auditore]], as he trained his [[Apprentices]] in [[Constantinople]] into becoming [[Master Assassin]]s, along with those he killed following his journey to discover about [[Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad]]'s hidden [[Altaïr's library|library]].
