A place in heaven awaits those who serve the wolf!

The Followers of Romulus, also known as Secta Luporum (English: Sect of the Wolves), were adherents of Romulus, the mythical founder of Rome. According to legend, Romulus and his brother Remus were raised by a wolf, and as a result, were said to be half wolf and half man. In tribute to this, the Followers' attire included a skinned wolf pelt.

Appearance
The Followers of Romulus are portrayed as powerfully-built, rather brutish men covered in wolfskin pelts, who attack viciously in large packs.

They are armed with various short blades and throwing knives, and tend to growl and snarl when in a fight. They commonly employ a unique, spinning slash attack, a move that is not performed by any other, aside from Ezio himself (with his hidden blades). When killed, and often before attacking, they howl like a wolf.

The Followers are also adept free-runners, as the lairs that they occupy require such skills to traverse. Additionally, they often attack in ambushes, hiding above or in tunnels before springing onto their prey in large numbers.

Borgia Alliance
The leaders of the Followers are paid by the Borgia to do their bidding, and as such, the Followers are mainly used to cause fear in the civilians, and send them into the arms of the Catholic Church. However, the Followers themselves are misguided, with their leaders commanding them in the name of Romulus, despite not believing in his mystical existence themselves.

Lairs
Lairs of Romulus
In Rome of the early 16th century, the Master Assassin, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, was able to enter the Followers' lairs, each of which were located below a famous landmark in Rome. By traversing them, he was able to find out more about them, and obtain their scrolls, which were located in shrines deep within their hidden enclaves.

By exploring and completing all six of their lairs, Ezio was also able to obtain six keys to unlock the Followers' secret treasures, the unbreakable armor and Dagger of Brutus.

Each of the six keys was also accompanied by a scroll, which, when combined, told the story of how Brutus and certain other Assassins plotted the murder of Julius Caesar. In the scrolls, it was written that Brutus planned to hold the first meeting under the Colosseum, where he found one of the vaults of Those Who Came Before.

Trivia
*In certain art (their Database image, and the image featured above), the Followers are depicted with a heavy weapon or a pair of short blades. In-game, they use only a single short blade.
*The Followers are relatively weak attackers, and can only perform slight damage to a single block of Ezio's health, rather than removing the block entirely. And they have one of the weakest, if not the weakest, resistance in the game.
*The Followers often use throwing knives before directly attacking.
*The Followers have unique death cries, as well as unique attack animations.
Italy (Italian: Italia) is a country located in southern Europe during the second and third millennium, and home to the Italian sect of the Order of Assassins during 13th to 16th Centuries. Italia also served as the birth place of the Renaissance, and had many beautiful cities and towns dotted across the landscape: Venice, Florence, Monteriggioni, Forlì and Rome to name a few.

Despite the ideals of the Renaissance spreading out across all Italy, during this period the nation remained divided into a multitude of city-states and Republics, notables of which included La Serenissima Repubblica di Venezia, and the Papal States. Taking advantage of this division, the Templars attempted to seize control of much of northern Italia during the late 15th century, but were ultimately thwarted in this attempt by Ezio Auditore da Firenze and his fellow Assassins.

Modern Days
In the modern days, Italy is where apparently Abstergo is located, and is the Assassin's Hideout in Assassins Creed II.
Pax Romana is the final playable memory in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

Description
After four years of searching for Micheletto and Cesare, Ezio finally finds Cesare at the Siege of Viana. Ezio chases the Captain General across the Spanish plains, trying not to get involved in the fighting. Ezio climbs a destroyed Borgia siege tower, and battles Cesare on the Viana's castle battlements.

Script (Incomplete)
Pre-mission
*Cesare: How did you find me?!
*Ezio: The Apple you stole from Mario Auditore lead me here!
*Cesare: Kill him! Kill the Assassin! Tear the maledetto bastardo (fucking bastard) to pieces!

Ezio fights several Naverrese soldiers, until a Spanish cannonball hits close by. Ezio is knocked unconcious, but awakes shortly after to find a dead Naverrese on him, which he rolls off.

*Ezio: I need munitions.

Ezio begins to loot dead soldiers.

*Spanish Civilian: Help yourself! There's more than enough to go around!

After looting, Ezio climbs onto a stray, unarmored horse.

*Ezio: Faster to travel by horse.

Not long after mounting the horse, it is killed by a cannonball. Ezio continues along the path to find the ruins of a Vianan village. Ezio sneaks past the Spanish soldiers that are on guard.

*Spanish Brute: They say that Cesare Borgia once commanded the Papal Forces of Roma.
*Spanish Seeker: They say he commanded the whole of Roma once. Strange how great rulers come and go like leaves in the wind.
*Spanish Brute: I'll give you wind. (Both laugh)

Ezio continues through the ruins until he reaches an undestroyed portion of it. Navarrese and Vianan soldiers are fighting in the streets. A Spanish woman runs to Cesare and begs him for mercy.

*Spanish Woman: ¡Ayúdeme! ¡Dañan a mi hijo! (Help! My son is injured!)

Cesare nods, then carries on walking into the village towards the fortress. Two Naverrese soldiers pull the woman aside and one stabs her with a Stiletto. Ezio continues through the battling soldiers as a Navarrese priest attempts to dishearten the Spanish. Ezio climbs a burning siege tower, but is forced to perform a Leap of Faith as it collapses. He fights off attacking guards and climbs another tower to finally confront Cesare.

Outcome
Cesare Borgia is killed. Ezio ponders on where to hide the Apple of Eden.
