*"Footpad" is an old-fashioned word for Thief, but was replaced by the term "Mugger" in the late 18th century.
*It is interesting to note that, in the trailer showing the Footpad, he is seen perhaps stealing something from the [[Barber]]'s waist, before becoming the target of the chase; not unlike the [[Pickpocketing#Pickpockets|Pickpockets]] from ''[[Assassin's Creed II]]''.
*His daggers resemble trench knives, designed for battle inside trenches during World War I.
