Spoilerhd
revamp
In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, several outfits are available to those who complete certain challenges. Once an outfit is unlocked and equipped, it will alter Ezio Auditore's appearance, but, unlike armor, most of the costumes will not affect any other gameplay elements.

Outfits can be unlocked through a variety of methods, which are enumerated below.

Capes
Plain Cape
Available from the beginning, this cape has no effect on Notoriety, and is the only cape that can be dyed.

Auditore Cape
This cape is unlocked by completely rebuilding the city of Rome.

Originally handcrafted by Maria Auditore da Firenze in her mourning of a lost child, this cape allows Ezio to show his pride for the Auditore family. It was lost during the Siege of Monteriggioni and given to Rodrigo Borgia's youngest son, Jofré Borgia as a war gift.

Ezio reacquires the cape after rebuilding Rome to 100% when the Assassins stole it from Jofre's collection. It also makes Ezio permanently Incognito - a very useful feature when you wish to explore the various districts and obtain their many collectibles without being harassed by guards. Once you remove the cape, your Notoriety gauge will return to its original level.

Borgia Cape
The Borgia Cape is unlocked by removing all 101 Borgia flags from Rome.

Functionally identical to the Auditore cape, notoriety stays at zero while the cape is worn and resets to its original level when removed.

Medici Cape
Unlocked in project legacy by completing the Auditore Mnemonic set in Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy. This cape does not affect notoriety and cannot be dyed.

It can also be found at Monteriggioni while playing with Desmond, however, it can't be used by him.

Venetian Cape
Unlocked by completing the Auditore Mnemonic set in Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy. This cape does not affect notoriety and cannot be dyed.

General Appearance
: "Once the basics are covered, Ezio may divert some of his income toward the sartorial elegance that is deserved of a major player in Roman political affairs. The Tailor now offers 15 new clothes and cape dyes, devoid of any gameplay influence and included purely for the pleasure of defining Ezio in your chosen style and aesthetic." - The Complete Official Guide: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

Armor of Altaïr
Armor of Altaïr
Unlocked by purchasing on Uplay for 20 Uplay Units.

The Grand Master Robes of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad. Worn by Ezio Auditore after completing all of the Assassin's Tombs in Assassin's Creed II. In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, it is worn in the last Cristina memory, and in the beginning of the game until it is lost in the Siege of Monteriggioni. Although it is says it is the armor, it does NOT change the defense stats of what you had before, as it is only an outfit.

Altaïr's Robes
Unlocked by purchasing on Uplay for 20 Uplay Units.

Accesses Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's skin from the Animus databases, though it will not affect Ezio's current equipment, armor settings or the abilities of the cape he was previously wearing. The outfit actually loads the model of Altaïr, rather than just his clothing, as is visible from color of his eyes, which are lighter than Ezio's, and the fact that the player is silent during taunts, rather than using Ezio's voice. Altaïr's missing finger can also be seen on the character model when this outfit is equipped.

Florentine Noble Attire
Unlocked by purchasing on Uplay for 20 Uplay Units.

Worn by Ezio Auditore in Florence during the beginning of Assassin's Creed II before encountering Giovanni's Assassin's Robes in the "Family Heirloom" memory. In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, it is worn during the first Cristina memory. Accessible before Apple of Eden missions when leaving Animus.

Desmond Miles Skin
Unlocked by attaining 100% Synchronization in Sequence 8.

Purely cosmetic, this skin allows the player to look like Desmond Miles inside the Animus 2.0. The style of walking and free-running is that of Desmond's.

Raiden Skin
Raiden Skin
Unlocked by completing every Virtual Training challenge with at least a bronze medal.

This outfit is in homage to the VR-trained cybernetic ninja called Raiden, from Metal Gear Solid. The skin of Raiden in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is the Cyborg Ninja form of Raiden as seen in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Ezio's facial features and hair will still be seen, not Raiden's.

Trivia
*When you unlock a General Appearance outfit, they become available during your next play through.
*The effect of the Auditore Cape in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is the reverse of its effect in Assassin's Creed II.
*Unlike in the game itself, the image of Altaïr's Robes in your inventory depicts Ezio wearing the robes, rather than Altaïr, as seen by his beard. The outfit also does not bear the beak-shaped hood, and shows Ezio wielding Altaïr's short blade, which is missing from its sheath in the game and is unusable.
*The image of Raiden's Outfit depicts Ezio unsheathing Raiden's katana, the High Frequency Blade, although it is not usable or present in the game.
*The Borgia Captain armor itself, though being worn by Ezio, appears red in Eagle Vision.
*The Medici Cape can also be found at Monteriggioni while playing with Desmond, however, it has no real purpose in the game other than being a collectible.
*Diving while wearing the Florentine Attire will cause Ezio to have Desmond's head until he reaches the water surface again.

:For the multiplayer character in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, see Doctor (multiplayer character).

Bring me your sick and wounded!
Doctors are one of the new features added in Assassin's Creed II, who return in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Found on the streets of every city in black robes and a mask with a beak-like shape, they can either refill Ezio's Synchronization Bar for a fee, or sell him Medicine that can be carried and used later. They also sell him vials of poison for his Poison Blade.

Doctors are perhaps the most vital service, as the medicine they sell can heal you wherever your current location is.

Appearance and historical relation
The clothes of the doctors are as usual for those in their profession, particularly after one of the deadliest pandemics in human history, known as The Black Death. This plague peaked in Europe during the 14th century, and is said to have killed 30% to 60% percent of Europe's population. That reduced the world's population from an estimated 450 million to between 350 and 375 million in 1400.

To protect from this pandemic and others to come, the doctors thus dressed in a long black cloak covered with a coating of wax, and a very primitive beak-shaped plague mask, although not all doctors wear the mask. Within this Medico Della Peste mask, there was a crude filtration system to prevent any virus from entering their system while they performed their duties. This mask was sometimes even worn in Venice's Carnevale.

The specific mask that the doctors of the Assassin's Creed series wear is called the Maschera Dello Speziale (where speziale refers someone who sells every kind of medicinal herb). The "beak" of the mask was often filled with various herbs, as many doctors thought that this was a viable method to avoid infection by various diseases.

Services
Healing
Doctors will replenish all the user's health after being paid a paltry sum of 50 florins. The price from the Doctor in Monteriggioni for his healing services however, decreases as his stall becomes renovated.

Apothecary
Medicine
Doctors sell Medicine (75ƒ each), a healing item that can be carried with you anywhere you go. The number of Medicine vials the user can carry at one time increases when a larger Medicine Pouch is purchased from a Tailor. In game, the medicine itself is said to be smelling salts that act as painkillers. This is the only way to heal the user, other than an automatic healing at the start of most memories.

Poison
Doctors sell Poison vials for a sum of 175 florins. When Ezio asks Leonardo why Doctors would sell Poison, he replies that, "when given in high doses, that which cures can kill." Poison is available only after upgrading Ezio's Hidden Blade with the Poison Blade. Poison is useful for players who do not want to assassinate a target quickly, or for those who would rather create a distraction. Poison offers one-use kills, is easily used on any target, and (due to its delayed effect) runs less of a risk of exposing the user.

In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, players can complete the Doctor's quest to upgrade the Poison sold by doctors so that the infected victim will go berserk immediately, instead of stumbling around for a little while beforehand.

Trivia
* Ezio can't harm doctors, but the first doctor encountered in the game (when with Federico), is the only one that can be attacked and killed, though only with blades. Doing so doesn't alert guards, doesn't cause or alert you of Desynchronization (due to Ezio killing civilians) and when killed, the doctor rises again. A video of this "bug" can be found at this link.
* Sometimes blacksmiths will also be able to restore some health when armor becomes damaged. Repairing the armor will replace some health.
* In the novel Assassin's Creed: Renaissance, the doctor that Federico introduces to Ezio is their family doctor, Dottore Ceresa. Also, instead of having a small stand like other doctors in Assassin's Creed II, he has his own store.
* The doctor in Monteriggioni is the only one to own a store in Assassin's Creed II, though there are several doctor stores in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
* You can hear doctors advertising their products, such as "fresh caught leeches."
* When you fight with the guards in front of a doctor, he will he kneel before you and beg you not to kill him.
