Talal was a slaver and secretly, a member of the Templars and was one of nine men that the Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad was ordered to assassinate by Al Mualim, the Grand Master of the Assassin Order during the Third Crusade. He was located in the rich district of Jerusalem within his Slave complex.

Biography
The Slaver of Jerusalem
Talal worked hard to earn his place as one of Jerusalem's most feared criminals. He operated a large slave ring, which was oddly ignored by the normally vigilant Jerusalem Guard. He was quick-witted, agile, and an expert marksman. There were tales of him fleeing a battle, only to be seen at higher ground, where his bow rained down arrows with exceptional accuracy.

Able to outrun most men with ease, Talal was proud of his acrobatic prowess and had no qualms about singing his own praises to anyone who would listen. He found humor in everything – and was especially fond of toying with his enemies before killing them. He was also known to have a very loyal band of henchmen that followed his every word, even if that meant laying down their own lives. Ending up joining up with the Templars, Talal learned the Templars' secrets and acquired knowledge of the Pieces of Eden.
Death
Altaïr tracked Talal's movements within the rich district before discovering him within his slave warehouse. He situated his men to surround Altaïr, taunting the intruder and boasting that he had led the Assassin there, absent the burden of fighting with his men. The Templar then ordered his henchmen to kill the distressed man and they followed the orders without question. Talal then watched the fight, looking on in anticipation for the guards to defeat Altaïr, however the Assassin was skillful enough to end to lives of all the guards.

Talal, seeing this, ran out of his slave complex through a trapdoor in the ceiling. Altaïr immediately gave chase to his fleeing target. Altaïr pursued him in a long and agile chase across rooftops, the streets of Jerusalem and among the people of the city. As Talal prepared an arrow for his bow, Altaïr quickly closed the gap between them, stabbing him with his Hidden Blade. With his dying words, Talal remarked that the people he was selling were the most unfortunate people in Jerusalem, and that, where they were being sent, they would be better off. He also remarked that he no longer believed in anything after death and that the people he had "rescued" had abandoned their beliefs as long as he had, being too weak to speak anymore, Talal died and all that was left was for Altaïr to escape.

Personality and characteristics
Talal was a cruel man, locking up men and women who he claimed to have been beggars, whores, addicts and lepers. Though these actions were cruel, he believed himself to be doing it for the right cause but he always knew that his death would not get in the way of his Templar brothers' goals. He had lost faith over time, claiming that not only the people have abandoned him, but the people he took into his care, trying to save them but he believed Altaïr would kill them all just because he was asked. He was somewhat cocky aswell, believing that Altaïr would fail to defeat his men and even taunting Altaïr beforehand.

Talal usually had a bow tied up against his back, along with arrows. He also had a sword in it's scabbard but he was proven to be more experienced with a bow and arrow. He wore a darkening gray tunic which had yellow stripes. Talal wore two vambraces on each wrist and had a large belt around him. He had plain white leggings which descend into another layer of leggings which can be tightened. Talal had a goatee and usually had his hair platted into "cornrows". He was of normal height and stature.

Final Words
Altaïr: You've nowhere to run now. Share your secrets with me.
Talal: My part is played. The Brotherhood is not so weak that my death will stop its work.

Altaïr: Then we are finished. Beg forgiveness from your god!

Talal: He's long abandoned us. Long abandoned the men and women I took into my arms.

Altaïr: What do you mean?

Talal: Beggars, whores, addicts, lepers: do they strike you as proper slaves? Unfit for even the most menial tasks? No... I took them, not to sell, but to save, and yet you'd kill us all... for no other reason than it was asked of you.

Altaïr: No! You profit from the war, from lives lost and broken.

Talal: Yes, you would think that, ignorant as you are. Wall off your mind: they say it's what your kind do best. Do you see the irony in all this? No, not yet, it seems, but you will...

Trivia
*Talal was also featured in the E3 2007 gameplay trailer, where Altaïr infiltrated the slave trader's den, before chasing and killing Talal.
*If he runs onto the streets, unlike most other assassinations targets, the vigilantes will stop him. The same applies for Sibrand and Jubair.
*After this memory block, you will still see his guards around Jerusalem.
Tamir (Arabic: تامر) was a member of the Templar Order and was the first Templar Al Mualim ordered the Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad to assassinate. He was located in the poor district of Damascus, Syria and was a known Black Market merchant.

Tamir ran the largest black market in Damascus in the Souk Al-Silaah. Some remarked that it may have been the most sizable underground trade in swords, spears, armor, and other equipment in the entire Holy Land. Although he was able to acquire almost anything if the buyer wanted to spend enough, he specialized in arms and armor. He made no apologies for being a heartless (and, some murmured, corrupt) death dealer. In fact, he seemed proud of the countless lives taken by his blades. He had no morals and would do whatever it took to turn a profit.
Death
You will pay for this!
After learning much about Tamir from the people, orators and even interrogated citizens, Altaïr moved into an ornate, sunken courtyard when he was ready to kill Tamir. Tamir arrived at the courtyard, arguing with a merchant. The merchant claimed that he could not comply with the large order that Tamir had asked of him, stating that Tamir asked too much of him. Tamir, outraged at this excuse, pressed forward, spit in the merchant's face, and produced a knife.

He began to mercilessly slice into the merchant, until a final stab sent the man sprawling against the fountain. Tamir stopped one of his lackeys from moving the body before moving off to inspect the other merchant stands in the courtyard. The crowd then dispersed with an odd calm, Tamir kept moving while sleuthing through merchant stands. Altaïr moved quietly behind Tamir and executed him with his hidden blade. During his last moments, Tamir claimed his motives to be far nobler than that of profit, stating that he had merely a part to play in the Brotherhood's plan. Tamir soon perished and Altaïr was left to escape the area from Tamir's guards.

Personality and characteristics
Tamir was a proud but cold-hearted taskmaster who would not take "no" for an answer. He even put one of his merchants, who could not complete his weapons order (which was due to be delivered to his Templar brethren), to death out of sheer frustration. Unknown to the general population of Damascus, Tamir secretly worked with the Templars and even at death's door, he insisted his cause was not about profit but a much more noble one. He knew full well that he was a mere pawn, and warned Altair that the "others" would not take kindly to his assassination.

Tamir wore an auburn brown turban with a tint of yellow around it. The loose pantaloons he usually wore were a lighter shade of brown with dark golden inscriptions surrounding it. He often wore a rust colored long embroided tunic which descended down his body and almost up to his knees. He also wore an orange leather belt with a darker yellow pair of shoes. His face was starting to wrinkle and he had a dark brown mustache and a tall stature.

Final Words
Garnier de Naplouse (c.1130 - 1191) was a doctor, and the Grand Master of the Knights Hospitalier in the city of Acre. He was also a secret member of the Knights Templar, and was also one of the targets assigned by a former Templar, Al Mualim for Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad to assassinate.
At first, the order cared for pilgrims, but soon made sure armed guards allowed the pilgrims to come to no harm. This escorting force was built up dramatically, and became a dominant Christian group along with the Knights Templar. Garnier began his service with the order in 1177, as a commander of the hospital in Jerusalem, and was promoted a decade later.

Garnier was exiled from France for the cruel and inhumane treatment of his patients (who he saw less as people, and more as experiments on whom to try the latest cures). He claimed to be a man of science, but he lacked a sense of ethics and morality. The price of knowledge was never too high for him, even if it had to be paid with another man's blood.
Following the Siege of Acre, Garnier was granted jurisdiction of the Poor district in Acre. There, he set up his base of operation at the Hospitalier hospital, and evidently continued his brutal experiments. News of his horrible work also spread throughout the city.

When Altaïr infiltrated the Hospitalier Fortress, a terrified patient attempted to escape, only to be captured by Garnier's guards. When Garnier revealed himself, he attempted to calm the patient, however, the patient had a crazed outburst, claiming that Garnier's true intentions were evil. After the doctor admonished him, he then commanded the guards to break the patient's legs, to prevent another escape attempt.

When Garnier dismissed the horrified crowd and returned to his work, the Assassin stealthily took Garnier's life with his blade. With his final words, Garnier claimed that he was actually helping these people. Although Altaïr tried to rebuke all his claims, Garnier persisted. He said that the people he took were among the poorest and most ill of the surrounding cities, and that many had recovered and were grateful for his generous help. He said his methods were necessary to free people from the "prisons of their own minds." Altaïr asked if he truly believed that he was helping them, and Garnier simply replied that "It's not what I believe, it's what I know." But before he could say anymore words, Garnier died and Altaïr was left to escape the area, become anonymous and return to the bureau.

Personality and Characteristics
Garnier generally believed that he was helping the people that he held in his Hospital, when in fact he was committing cruel and injustice acts onto these people and turning them into his slaves and also indoctrinating them as his guards. Claiming to be a man of science, he lacked a sense of ethics and morality. He didn't seem to fear death and even while he was communicating with Altaïr, he tried to justify his actions, explaining why he dragged them from their supposed "homes" such as the brothels or sewers from where they were kidnapped.

He often wore a black robe with a white apron which was stained red from the blood of his patients which had either perished or were still alive. He had a small leather belt around his waist which held up a small pouch which contents are unknown and he usually carried his sword around with him for protection. He was of average height and he had highly visible wrinkles on his face and he was also balding.

Because Garnier family had contributed a significant amount of coin to the war effort, he was harbored and protected in Acre. There, he managed to buy himself loyal assistants, who allowed him to continue his cruel work. He fluctuated between being very articulate and composed, and deranged; although he did firmly believe that he was helping those he tended to in the Hospitalier Fortress in Acre. Some time before his death, Garnier joined the Templar Order and learned their ways and secrets just like the other nine, what he learned included the Templar's views and even the mysterious artifact, the Piece of Eden.

After the doctor admonished him, he then commanded the guards to break his legs to prevent another escape attempt.&nbsp
Garnier generally believed that he was helping the people that he held in his Hospital, committing cruel and injustice acts to the people turning them into his slaves and making them his guards. Claiming to be a man of science, he lacked a sense of ethics and morality. He didn't seem to fear death and even while he was communicating with Altaïr, he tried to justify his actions, explaining why he dragged them from their supposed "homes" such as brothels or sewers.

He often wore a black robes with an apron which was stained from the red blood of his patients which were lost or were still alive. He had a small leather belt around his waist which held up a small pouch which contents are unknown and he usually carried his sword around with him for protection. He was of average height and he had highly visible wrinkles on his face and he was also balding.

Biography
Grand Master of the Hospitaliers
Garnier was the tenth Grand Master of the Knights Hospitaliers, a monastic order founded after the First Crusade, who established its first infirmary near the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem.

Hospitalier Fortress and death
Following the Siege of Acre, Garnier was granted jurisdiction of the Poor district in Acre. There, he set up his base of operation at the Hospitalier hospital, and evidently continued his brutal experiments. News of his horrible work also spread throughout the city.

When Altaïr infiltrated the Hospitalier Fortress, a terrified patient attempted to escape, only to be captured by Garnier's guards. When Garnier revealed himself, he attempted to calm the patient, however, the patient had a crazed outburst, claiming that Garnier's true intentions were evil. After the doctor admonished him, he then commanded the guards the break the patient's legs, to prevent another escape attempt.

Final Words
Altaïr: Let go your burden.

Garnier: Ah, I'll rest now, yes. The endless dream calls to me, but before I close my eyes, I must know: what will become of my children?

Altaïr: You mean the people made to suffer your cruel experiments!? They'll be free now to return to their homes!

Garnier: Homes!? What homes!? The sewers? The brothels? The prisons that we dragged them from?

Altaïr: You took these people against their will!

Garnier: Yes, what little will there was for them to have. Are you really so naive? Do you appease a crying child, simply because he wails? "But I want to play with fire, father." What would you say? "As you wish"? Ah, but then you'd answer for his burns.

Altaïr: These are not children, but men and women, full grown.

Garnier: In body, perhaps, but not in mind; which is the very damage I sought to repair. I admit, without the Piece of Eden - which you stole from us - my progress was slowed. But there are herbs, mixtures and extracts. My guards are proof of this: they were madmen before I found and freed them from the prisons of their own minds... And with my death, madmen they will be again.

Altaïr: You truly believe you were helping them?

Garnier: It's not what I believe... it's what I know.

Trivia
*Garnier de Naplouse (also known as Garnier de Nablus) was a real-life leader of the Knights Hospitalier, who ruled from 1190 to 1192. In contrast to the in-game depiction of a sadistic and cruel man, the real-life Garnier was a courageous and brave individual who led the Hospitaliers and the Crusaders to many victories, including the Battle of Arsuf.
*Historically, Garnier de Naplouse fought in the Battle of Arsuf, while in Assassin's Creed, he died before the battle took place.
Tamir (Arabic: تامر) was a member of the Templar Order and was the first Templar Al Mualim ordered the Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad to assassinate. He was located in the poor district of Damascus, Syria and was a known Black Market merchant.

Biography
Life as a Black Market merchant

Final Words
Altaïr: You believe yourself different, then?

Tamir: Ah, but he thinks I act alone. I am but a piece, a man with a part to play. You'll come to know the others soon enough... they won't take kindly to what you've done!

Altaïr: Good. I look forward to ending their lives as well!

Tamir: Such pride. It will destroy you, child...
