=== In the Royal Navy ===
Long before the Second World War, Eddie served in the Royal Navy . One day, in service at Invergordon in Scotland , at a naval base, he was in charge of putting an end to a mutiny in 1931 on the ship ''Hood'' led by his brother Marc , also in the army as an officer, Commander of the famous ship. Eddie was ordered to execute his own brother, which he refused. Finally Marc was sent to the Russian front and ended his life in a gulag, leaving a wife and two children. Eddie took over the family of his brother but left the Navy, are finding no place [1] .

However, Eddie blew his cover in the process and had to flee. He joined a group of Americans, who revealed themselves to be Assassins. Through them Eddie discovered he descended from a long line of Assassins himself, and decided to join the Brotherhood.

On 27 February 1943, he was [[Parachute|parachuted]] in [[Vemork]], a [[Norway|Norwegian]] hydroelectric plant. He aided in the infiltration of the plant to stop the Templars from finishing their secret weapon.

However, Eddie was captured and put into a very early prototype of the [[Animus]], powered by an [[Apples of Eden|Apple of Eden]]. Because his grandson [[Maxime Gorm]] was reliving his memories through the Animus at the same time, there was a defect in synchronization and Eddie's consciousness was switched with Maxime's and he woke up in the 21th century.

==Equipment and skills==

Gorm was an able alpinist, as he managed to scale frozen cliffs with little difficulty.

In addition to the traditional dual [[Hidden Blade|hidden blades]], Gorm carried a [[Firearms|handgun]] and a {{Wiki|Thompson submachine gun}} as his main weapons. He also kept three [[Bombs|grenades]] on his back.
