'''Pierre, Marquis de Fayet''' (1675 – July 1737) was a [[France|French]] aristocrat and Governor of [[Saint-Domingue]] from 1732 to his death.

He was [[Assassination targets|killed]] by the [[Assassins|Assassin]] [[Adéwalé]] in 1737 with his own branding iron, although his death was recorded as being of natural causes.

'''Benjamin Hornigold''' (1680s – 1719) was an [[United Kingdom|English]] [[Piracy|pirate]] from 1715 to 1718, and a member of the [[Templars|Templar Order]]. He was most famous for mentoring [[Edward Thatch|Blackbeard]] and for being one of the founders of the pirate republic at [[Nassau]].

He later became a pirate hunter working for [[Woodes Rogers]], after the British offered him a letter of pardon in exchange for the lives of his former comrades.

Hornigold was ultimately killed by [[Edward Kenway]], who considered Hornigold a traitor for siding with the Templars and turning his back on their pirate principles. Before dying, Hornigold told Edward that the glory age of pirating was ending at that Edward will eventually be killed if he continues down his path.
