Fabio Orsini was an Italian condottiero and a member of the Orsini family.

Biography
Early life and carreer
Fabio Orsini was born in 1476 or 1477, the son of Paolo Orsini. He was trained in the art of battle at an early age, already participating in a battle to help the Sienese at Montepulciano.

Affiliations with the Borgia
Around three years after the battle at Montepulciano, he joined his cousin Bartolomeo d'Alviano in a battle against the Savelli family. Following the battle, he married Jeronima Borgia, who was the cousin of Papal Commander Cesare Borgia. He supported his in-law family for some time, until he freed an imprisoned friend from the Tor di Nona. He had to continue serving the Borgia against his will, however, as Cesare managed to bring the Orsini family to their knees.

Later life
In 1500, Fabio lended an old storehouse to the Assassin Order, hoping that it would aid them in their war against the Borgia. He was also aware of the fact that his cousin Bartolomeo was amongst their numbers, as he had heard many stories about Bartolomeo's fellow Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze.

Later, Fabio attacked Micheletto Corella's army after Cesare had Fabio's father Paolo killed. He was unable to defeat Micheletto however and lost his status. He then became an outlaw, raiding the countryside, and a warrant for his arrest was placed on him by Pope Alexander VI.

After the death of Pope Alexander VI and his son Cesare became disfavored, Fabio entered Pope Julius II's service. He led the Papal armies to arrest Cesare for murder, betrayal and incest.

In late 1503, he participated in the battle of Garigliano alongside Bartolomeo. However, Fabio died in 1504 of a head wound he received during the battle.

The Prowler (real name: Il Lupo) is a multiplayer character in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood who wields a switchblade, one that is similar to the hidden blade of the Assassins. Despite his similarity to the Assassins, the Prowler is, as all other multiplayer characters in Brotherhood, a Templar.

He makes an appearance in Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy as a creation of Baltasar de Silva, Cesare Borgia's master spy. After many hours of tracking and learning from the Assassins with Fiora Cavazza, Baltasar trained Il Lupo, a hitman who used the techniques and weapons of the Assassins. When Fiora betrayed all of Cesare's agents to the Assassins, she personally killed Il Lupo with a poisoned iron fan. She did so with a sense of urgency as Il Lupo was the last person who knew that Fiora had done possibly damaging things to the Assassins before she sought their aid.

Unique Moves
The Neck Breaker
The Prowler grabs his target from behind and swiftly maneuvers his hands around their neck. He then clutches the chin and neck, roughly pulling the head at a 90 degree angle and breaking the neck bone. The target then falls dead to the ground.

The Plunge of Death
The Prowler leaps from a rooftop above, onto the target, forcing them to the ground and plunging the blade into their skull. The target dies instantly.

Headache
The Prowler runs up behind his target and shoves his blade through the back of their head, killing them.

Customization
Like other multiplayer character, as the player progresses, the Prowler may be customized with different colors and gear.

Colors
The Prowler's first basic color consists of the one seen above, and the succeeding extra colors change the cape color to brown, red, then green. These extra colors affect his cape, and nothing else.

Gear
The Prowler's advanced gear consists of a pair of metal vambraces and greaves.

His superior gear consists of a golden clasp that joins his cape at the front, consisting of two golden Templar cross coins. It also extends his blue button up shirt, and adds a new layer of clothing under his brown vest.

His elite gear changes the outline and Templar cross of his cape to gold and has golden embroidery around the edge of the hood and cape.

Gear
The Prowler's advanced gear consists of a pair of greaves on his forearms - one of which covers his switchblade - and plates of armor over the front of his boots. It also extends his blue button up shirt, and adds a new layer of clothing under his brown vest.

His superior gear consists of a golden clasp that joins his cape at the front, consisting of two golden Templar cross coins.

His elite gear changes the outline and Templar cross of his cape to gold and has golden embroidery around the edge of the hood and cape.
Trivia
*The Prowler was previously known as the Hunter.
*A mysterious gray-robed identical character, previously nicknamed the "Hunter" and the "Female Hunter" has been spotted in several multiplayer images. Once an unknown character, she has now been identified as the Smuggler in one of her alternative outfits and colors.
*Plunge of Death, a special move used by both the Prowler and the Noble, is actually an Air Assassination, a move frequently used by the Assassin Order.
*The Prowler's cape and switchblade are both marked with a Knights Templar cross.
*His name, "Il Lupo," translates to "The Wolf," a name similar to La Volpe's.
*The cloak he wears resembles Maria Thorpe's cloak from Assassin's Creed II.
*Despite previously being mentioned to make an appearance in the single-player of Brotherhood, he is nowhere to be found.
The Thief (real name :Faustina Collari) is an unlockable multiplayer character in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, available after the player has reached level 25. Her weapon is a Scissor Blade.
Unique Moves
Ankle Grabber (Low Profile)
The Thief walks up behind her target and reaches down to grab their ankle. After the target turns around, she stands up straight and stabs her target in the head with her scissor blade.

Joy Ride (High Profile)
The Thief runs to her target and jumps onto their back. She holds onto their back as they stagger forward and stabs her target in their chest twice. She then hops off their back and conceals her weapon.

Heart Attack (Low Profile)
The Thief approaches her target from the front and makes a deadly blow to her target's heart. She yanks her scissor blade out the target's chest and then stashes it away.

Go For the Eyes! (High Profile)
The Thief engages her target and they both briefly struggle to dominate the other. Consequently, the Thief wins the struggle and seizes the opportunity to stab her target in the eye with her scissor blade.
Notes
*Her Extra Color 01 makes the blue on her gear a light grey. Extra Color 02 changes her gear color to a greenish gray. And Extra Color 3 changes her gear color to a faded red.
*Faustina's Advanced Gear adds round puffs on each of her arms, below the shoulders. Her Superior Gear adds to her Advanced Gear with over-the-knee buckled boots and the rags on her jacket is removed and replaced with the jacket's proper material. In her Elite Gear, Faustina gains a mini cape on her back and round brim hat.

Trivia
*Faustina's Elite Gear is polar opposite compared to her rags in her Basic Gear. The Elite Gear is neat and exquiste and her Basic Gear is ragged and homely. Each of her different gears shift from rags to riches throughout the four options.
*"Footpad" is an old-fashioned word for thief, but was replaced by the term "Mugger" in the late 15th century.
*It is interesting to note that, in the trailer showing the Footpad, he is seen perhaps stealing something from the Barber's waist, before becoming the target of the chase; not unlike the Pickpockets from Assassin's Creed II.
*It may possible be that Footpad as a connection to the Thief's, since Footpad is an alternative name of thief.
*In the Limited Codex Edition of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, on the multiplayer character card, there is a spelling mistake: "Cutting through groups of people, he moves towards his target as silent and deadly as a snake. Quickly, he rushes to his victim, brandishes his two knives and plants them into flesh, as if they were fangs.

The Hidden Gun is one of the expansions of the Hidden Blade invented by Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad using the Apple of Eden. After discovering the design for it on one of the Codex Pages, Leonardo da Vinci managed to craft one for Ezio Auditore in Assassin's Creed II. It consists of a small firearm with a very short barrel attached to the bottom of a Hidden Blade that, if aimed properly, can kill a target from a distance. It is unlocked right after you finish Sequence Eight. The weapon returns in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood in both single and multiplayer.

Usage
The Hidden Gun provides the deadly effectiveness of the Hidden Blade, but at long range. Though an excellent weapon for assassination from afar, it will give away the player's position immediately after firing by creating a loud noise that will alert any guards within the area. The hidden gun takes about a second and a half to fully aim, though it can be fired before it is fully aimed. Firing immediately without aiming is not advised as even at close range the hidden gun still misses more than it hits. At long range it is a must to fully aim at the desired target because otherwise it will miss. Still it is possible to quickly switch to the pistol during a battle, take a random shot from as close as possible to the enemy, get a kill and resume fighting. Though this has its disadvantages, it can be used to quickly eliminate enemies without counter-kills. Also it can be used to kill enemies who don't seem like they will attack any time soon. It should be noted that aiming the Hidden Gun within guards' lines of sight will make them suspicious of the player. Against a few guards, aiming the gun for more than several seconds will also cause the group to lose morale and eventually flee, though this tactic will not be successful on Brutes.

The Hidden Gun does not kill in a single shot during the battles with either Dante Moro and or Rodrigo Borgia, though it is just as effective as usual when the player is required to assassinate them. The Hidden Gun and Throwing Knives are disabled in the Secret Locations that require the player to chase an Agile, as said weapons would allow the player to kill the Agile before the intended time in the course, and would eliminate the entire chase altogether.

Ammunition is quite expensive for the hidden gun, as one bullet costs 175 florins (149 florins in Monteriggioni), which is 3 and a half times the cost of a throwing knife, and only 6 bullets may be carried at one time. However, bullets may be obtained by looting dead soldiers. This makes looting bodies a viable way to stock up on ammunition, especially if one is far away from a blacksmith or out of florins.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, the player begins with the gun already equipped and a full batch of bullets. It is very much similar to the hidden gun in Assassins Creed II, but the aiming device is slightly different, as it reaches perfect aim on a target much faster, but can only fire the bullet after the shot is fully charged. It also has only six shots before more ammo is needed, but it is possible to buy an extra 4 shots (for a total of 10) at the uplay store for 30 points.

In addition, the hidden gun can now be used in conjunction with Ezio's primary weapon (only medium weapons). While in combat, the player can hold down the attack button in low profile and aim at his currently locked target, making it easier to quickly dispatch faraway opponents without having to switch weapons. During a kill-streak, Ezio can hold down the attack button while targeting an opponent, causing him to perform an automatic double kill with his sword and hidden gun, using up ammunition in the process. The hidden gun is also used in a number of counter kills and executions in which Ezio shoots his opponent at point blank range. For reasons unknown, these attacks do not use up bullet ammunition. It should also be noted that the player does not need to aim during double kills, counter kills, executions, or while on horseback.

This design differs to the one in Assassin's Creed II because Ezio no longer has to pull back the trigger to shoot the bullet; instead all he has to do is simply target the victim and the gun will shoot. Nowhere during the game does it state why the weapon behaves in such manner. Also, the sound has become more a musket rather than the cannon like sound that features in Assassin's Creed II. However, the Assassin Apprentices' hidden guns use the same firing sound as heard in the previous game.

After reuniting with Leonardo Da Vinci, Ezio is capable of purchasing an upgrade to his hidden gun that allows him to fire small Poison Darts from it in addition to bullets. These darts are usable when the poison blade is equipped and function in the exact same manner; except that they may be fired from range into a target.

Codex Description
"Success! We have found a way to alter the structure of the hidden blade so that it can be used to launch small projectiles. It is capable of grievous damage – even from great distance. I confess, the means by which I came about the discovery was... risky to say the least. But I have found that in small doses, and with a focused mind, the Apple can be used without ill effect. Or so I hope.<br />The knowledge of projectile combat is not new to us, having been observed amongst our Eastern neighbors. But their weapons were much larger – and insufficient for our needs. I have now found a way to miniaturize their designs, embedding their fiery weapon into a form that can be worn on the wrist.<br />We have also refined the formula for combustible powder, such that common ingredients might be used. This is a dangerous bit of knowledge and it is best shared with only our closest allies..." -Altaïr in Codex Page 28

Trivia
*Altaïr is the true designer of the Hidden Gun, as Leonardo just decodes his Codex. Altaïr claims that he has invented a smaller version of the weapon his neighbors from the East have, using knowledge from the Apple of Eden. This provides an example of the Apple's malevolence; it provided the information he asked for and helped him make a smaller weapon, but provided no information to improve the weapon further, such as for rifles.
*In Assassin's Creed II, every time the Hidden Gun is fired, a dog can be heard barking. Though not a surprise as dogs tend to bark at loud noises, no dogs are seen or mentioned in the game.
*Ammunition can be found as an item when looting the bodies of any deceased guards, whether or not they are arquebusiers.
*When Ezio uses his pistol in combination with his sword in counters and executions, the firing of his gun does not use up amunition.
*The player does not need to wait and aim the pistol while on horseback.
*The design and physical appearance of the Hidden Gun is similar to the concept of a Pistol Sword, only applied to the Hidden Blade instead.
*In Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines when you connect your PSP to a PS3, you will obtain a variant of the Hidden Gun that fires Throwing Knives instead of lead bullets.
*It is also a multiplayer ability for multiplayer characters to use in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
*An ammo upgrade can be obtained from Uplay in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, increasing the total capacity to 10 for 30 Units.
*The pistol is one of the weapons available to Assassin Recruits upon reaching level five.
*Unlike in Assassin's Creed II, in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, the pistol needs to fully aimed before a shot can be fired, as releasing the button without a full lined beam will cancel the aim.
*Strangely, in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood the Assassin Recruits' hidden guns are much weaker than Ezio's, taking up to three shots to kill a guard.

*When Ezio uses his pistol in combination with his sword in counters and defense breaks, the firing of his gun does not use up amunition.
*Strangely, in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood the Assassin Recruits Hidden Gun seems to be much weaker then the players one, taking up to three shots to kill a guard.

It is very much similar to the hidden gun in Assassins Creed II, but the aiming device is slightly different, as it reaches perfect aim on a target much faster. It also has only six shots before more ammo is needed. But a you can buy an extra 4 shots(for a total of 10) at the uplay store for 30 points.

*When Ezio uses his pistol in combination with his sword in counters and defense breaks, the firing of his gun does not use up amunition.
*Strangely, in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood the Assassin Recruits Hidden Gun seems to be much weaker then the players one, taking up to three shots to kill a guard.

Revamp

The Crossbow is a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Altaïr's Chronicles and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. It was originally seen in the introduction for the first Assassin's Creed, but was not included due to historical inaccuracies. However, for unknown reasons, it was still featured in Altaïr's Chronicles and the Gameloft mobile version of Assassin's Creed.

After being spotted in concept art and being mentioned in the E3 2010 Single-Player walkthrough, Jean Francois Boivin confirmed that long-ranged weapons, such as the crossbow, would be available for use in Brotherhood, especially in advanced horse combat. Some guard archetypes (such as the Crossbowman) will also have the crossbow as a weapon. Ezio and his apprentices will be able to use the crossbow only as a counter tactic in melee combat, similar to the hidden blade in the first Assassin's Creed. The player may still shoot enemies during close-range combat, but this is an unpreferred tactic, as the crossbow has a slow reloading speed during combat, unlike the pistol.

The maximum amount of ammo Ezio can carry in his quiver is 25 bolts, which are purchasable from blacksmiths. The way the crossbow is fired is similar to the pistol used in Assassin's Creed II, though having a faster aim (equal to the increased aiming speed of the pistol in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood) and having the ability to move around and be on beams while targeting; wherein locking onto an enemy and holding the Armed Hand button causes diamond markings to close in and form a white line as the weapon is aimed. In shops, the cost of a crossbow is 12,800 florins. After purchasing it, you will be able to upgrade the quivers of the crossbow.
