Every ability availible to you in AC1 was availible in AC2, and more because technological innovation allowed for more gameplay mechanics. If you remove the technological innovation, you lose any way for further implements to gameplay to be made, and would remove some as well. If you say that maybe this Altiar precursor would aquire 1st Civ tech, that would break all historical immersion that AC prides itself on.<br /> <br /> So the only way to move forward is to move forward in time. You could move on to One of the many European wars after that, or the Imperialism of the Industrial age, but considering the 200 year jumps that the series typically takes place that ALLOWS for the technological upgrades we see in each game, that is unlikely. 200 years after the American Revolution would be the 1900s, of which the most obvious far reaching events of which would be the World Wars. I say the first one because, honestly, WW2 is so incredibly overdone in videogames that they would lose intense credibility if they did choose it as the setting. How many WW1 games can you think of, then? I know I can't think of any others.<br /> <br /> Just imagine it, running through trenches and landmine riddled warzones to sneak into the enemy bunker and destroy the infernal machine gun that singlehandedly shaved off a thousand of your friends lives? It would give the protagonist a new motive, while Altiar's motive was duty, Ezio's revenge, and Conner's equality, this new protagonist would be trying to win for his, and his friends, very survival. Tanks, Planes, and modern warfare was beginning here, but not so much as to be able to abandon the typical AC gameplay by adding too many guns or veichles.<br /> <br /> It's the only one that makes sense, right?</div>
