==Description==
Upon returning from [[Ferrara]], [[Ezio Auditore|Ezio]] journeys to the [[Vaticano district]] in Rome to search for the [[Leonardo da Vinci|da Vinci]] painting possessed by an old lover of [[Lucrezia Borgia]], [[Patrizio]]. On arrival, Ezio witnessed a brief meeting between Patrizio and a [[Hermeticists|Hermeticist]]. He quietly tailed the men to discover the location of the painting he sought.

Ezio arrives at the Vaticano district in time to witness a meeting between Patrizio and one of the robed disciples.

Both men leave the area, heading towards the location of the painting. Ezio follows.
* '''Patrizio:''' ''That'' puttana ''(whore) sent it to me as a present. I want it out of my house.''
* '''Hermeticist:''' ''We will be glad to add it to our collection. As agreed, the Master waits at your palazzo to take it off your hands.''
* '''Patrizio:''' ''She thought I would be pleased with such a gift? After she married another man?''
* '''Hermeticist:''' ''The ways of men and women are strange, but Hermes teaches us that through careful study, both may be brought to harmony.''

The men meet an obstacle in their way, and must alter their path to Patrizio's palazzo.

The men arrive at Patrizio's palazzo and meet with the Hermeticist leader, [[Ercole Massimo]].

* '''Patrizio:''' ''Of course. That woman used false passion to seduce me. The error lies in her [[Spain|Spanish]] blood, I know it.''

Patrizio takes the painting from its easel and slams it on the ground. Ercole's disciple plunges a dagger through Patrizio's back, killing him almost instantly.

The disciple leaves with the painting. Ezio swiftly follows.

==Outcome==
Patrizio is murdered by the Hermeticits and his painting is taken. Ezio chases one of the disciples across the Vaticano district, eventually assassinating him and acquiring the painting.

==Trivia==
* To achieve full [[synchronization]], the player must not use the rooftops while tailing Patrizio.
* "Memento Mori" is Latin for "Remember that you will die" or (less literally) "Remember that you are mortal".

*If you look carefully, at one point when you are tailing Patrizio and the Hermetic, there is a man carrying a box that is wearing a pope-like attire. He could very well be the pope of that point in time, however this is debatable.{{ACBHMemories}}
