Ok here is the thing I just did the part where he talks to the uncle and says the leonardo da vinci or whatever can translate the pages went up and updated the map and I see where all the codex pages are it let me pick up one but it will not let me do the rest why? am I missing something
::I may be wrong, but given a guess - due to the lack of information of your problem - I'd say that the scene you mean is in Mario's study. The Codex pages that are already on the wall you will not be able to take down. Mario already explained to Ezio that Giovanni managed to translate some. Now Leonardo has to do it as Giovanni is dead. The other Codex pages you collect are scattered throughout the cities and are marked on your map. All you need to do is run over the top of them to pick them up (or loot for some if I remember correct) . I hope that helps answer your question. == Article Rename ==

Should we rename this article to simply "Ezio Auditore"? The "da Firenze" part would stay at the introduction of the article as this is Ezio's full name, but all of the Auditores in the in-game databases are listed without the "da Firenze" attached at the end. Leonardo da Vinci's article would stay the way it is, because Leonardo had no surname. — M.C.Tales 18:43, June 6, 2011 (UTC)

:Whilst you do have a valid point, the extreme majority of readers coming to this site will be expecting to see "da Firenze" as part of the article title. It also allows us to differentiate the Florentine Auditore from their family in Monteriggioni (namely Mario and Domenico); as such I think it best if we leave the article name as is. On a related note, Giovanni at one point tells Ezio he is of the "Auditore da Firenze", once again differentiating between those in Florence, and those without. --<span style="color:#BF404D">Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record</span> 20:29, June 6, 2011 (UTC)
And love, most especially, mio cara. For you, our children, our brothers and sisters, and for the vast and wonderful world that gave us life, and keeps us guessing.
been a bit of an online debate about this with no clear winner as yet so putting htis here to find some solid facts . this all relates to the young arrogant man with a joker like scar grabbing Ezio's hand before his death. other than watching embers is there any confirmation as to how Ezio died as the movie can lead one to believe he was either poisened by the young man or died of a heart attack. the young man is very much fitting with other templar attacks and matches the look and style of a in game stalker perfectly. as well as his Roma refrence a good subtle insult as to one of the great templar loses.203.219.85.18 09:38, December 6, 2011 (UTC)
I choose to believe (with no evidence I might add) that the young, cocky, scarred fellow was an Assassin sent to follow and protect Ezio in Florence (as opposed to his remote villa). And that last smile and advice 'Have courage' was a mark of respect from a young Assassin to an old master. Mercenari 01:12, January 25, 2012 (UTC)
The page staes that late in Ezios life, I think during the time of AC:Embers, all of this happened, but none of it was in Embers, so where are the sources for this event and how do we know it happened. I will say, I have played Revelations, watched Embers, and read the Revelations book. I remember late in the book it mentioned Leonardo dying and Ezio and Machiavelli going to visit him on his deathbed and the king saying he was there, beside Leonardo. And as they were leaving Ezio makes a comment about how "Kings will do anything for publicity" So try reading the book.Ezio Auditore 03:03, March 10, 2012 (UTC)
By 1519, Ezio had suffered a chest infection and as a result devolped a serious cough, he also, had begun to write his memoir.

A visit from Machiavelli revealed grim news to Ezio, his friend Leonardo was dying. The pair traveled to Amboise, France to the manor Clos Luce, where Leonardo was staying.

Ezio learned that his friend wished to travel outside of the manor to places like England or even back to Venice where he hoped to sell his submarine idea, seeing as he was disappointed with his patron's last creation, that being of a giant mechanical lion.

The pair stayed in France for another week, and was with Leonardo until his death. Upon their departure, rumors began to spread that King Francis was with Leonardo until he died, Ezio was disgusted by this rumor and believed that anyone, even a king would do anything for publicity.
No relation to Clay
I just felt like clearing this up. Me and Steen spoke with Jeffrey Yohalem about this after the podcast, so it's not actually included in the podcast and thus I have no proof that we actually did ask this but obviously I wouldn't lie about this. Jeffrey said that Clay has no relation to Ezio at all. As you can see in The Lost Archive, they found out about the name Ezio Auditore from Clay's memories but he did not actually relive them. That is why it says "match" when Desmond enters the Animus in the beginning of Assassin's Creed II, Desmond's DNA gives a match between what is found in Clay's memories. As for the glyphs and clusters, those are placed in Italy from the Animus interface, they aren't overwritten to Ezio's own memories; that's not possible. Is it really necessary to note that he's right handed? He uses his weapons with his right hand, and I think if he was left handed he would wear his Hidden Blade on his right wrist, instead of his left. The Leaping Eagle 15:13, July 11, 2012 (UTC)
Murdered?
I know this has been discussed before, but could it be added to the article under the name of "Murder conspiracy" that the young man could of killed him? If you search Ezio's death on YouTube you can see things that points to this:

1: The man grabs Ezio's hand roughly as to keep him still.

2: The man touches Ezio's shoulder and there's a weird sound like a blade hitting him, possibly poison?

3: Once he lets go of Ezio's shoulder, Ezio touches his shoulder and gives an expression of pain.

4: This is the most evident one; once the man walks away from Ezio, you can see the Templar Cross on his wrist for a split-second. Here's a link to it in one frame: watch the entire video, it's hard to see at first. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzCpLZFbj6I
Lothario?
Does anyone remember when Piri Reis thought Ezio's real name was Lothario? Well, I did a small amount of research (funny how quickly your goals change on the internet), and I found something interesting. Apparently, a lothario is "A man whose chief interest is seducing, usually women", which seems to match Ezio's personality; is this worthy of being in the trivia, or something? Did Ubi actually intend this when they wrote that? -- 23:55, March 29, 2013 (UTC)

:Yes, I am fairly sure that was Darby's intention when he wrote the script. He put in quite a few interesting bits in it. I'd say it's worthy of being trivia. -- 23:57, March 29, 2013 (UTC)
:Please sign your posts. That said, I'm personally in favour of changing the image, but others here feel that the Brotherhood image is best, so it's them you'll have to convince.
:::He is referring to the fact that it does not appear in the final game, but neither do Ezio's identical bracers. I am not in favor of a render of Ezio in ACR, both because that's an outfit he wore for just two years and Ezio is labelled by Ubisoft as being in his 'prime' in ACB. I would also be fine with an image of AC2 since that's an outfit he wore for a long time, but ACR just feels wrong to me. -- 11:38, July 10, 2013 (UTC)

:I don't really want an ACR render, not this one again, anyway. I'm not really fond of the one we have now either, to be honest. I would prefer the previous ACB one we had, or the "anniversary render". I would be happy with an AC2 one as well, since that was his introduction and spanned the longest time. On a final note: Skywalker, it would probably would have been best if you had just set up a vote and gave various images we could switch to. Also, you should link to the right page. -- 12:32, July 10, 2013 (UTC)
#I've found this on the interwebs. If we had this image in a resolution similar to the anniversary one, that is around 3000x2000 pixels, we could render the characters properly this time, and use these for infoboxes. For the page that has the looks of all of the assassins for that game (Altair-Young Ezio-Brotherhood Ezio-Old Ezio-Connor), wouldn't it be better to use this: http://www.gameinformer.com/p/ac3.aspx for the picture of Connor instead of the current one, as if you flip it horizontally it'll be leaning more to the right and will look more natural. == The truth of Ezio Auditore's death. Let me know what you think. ==

The Truth: Ezio died of a heart attack, Ubisoft even confirmed it. The guy who sat down next to him was just a random guy, who reminded Ezio of his teenage years. (Always chasing after women.) The guy got up and left because he saw Ezio wasn't feeling well. There wasn't any poison involved, and the, "Templar insignia" on his wrist has nothing to do with it. Ezio knew he was on his way out, that's why he wrote his death letter before he left for Florence with his family. We all saw Ezio's decaying health condition throughout the movie (His coughing). It was at it's worst point when he arrived in Florence with his family (His wheezing). He also knew his passing was coming because when his wife said something about Ezio staying home, he said, "I am home." He was refering to his birthplace of Florence. When Ezio's heart attack hit him, it took him by suprise as you could see by his facial expressions. When Ezio looked at the man, Ezio looked suprised because the man reminded him of himself in his teenage years, like I said earlier. At that point, Ezio knew it was his time to go, but he looked over at his wife and daughter, and smiled because he realized his life had a purpose. He even tells that to Desmond at the end of AC:R inside Altair's library. He was a Prophet, delivering a message to Desmond. If you listen to Ezio's death letter, you will hear him talk about, "Liberty, Time & Love." All three, which he didn't understand when he was young and immature. He then says how he finally understood them in his later years. Ezio remembers this, along with looking at his family that he loves dearly, and is ready to go. He knows he served as a mentor, a lover, a father, and an inspiration to many, many people. Personally, I think Ezio goes down as THE best video game character of all time. Seeing him as a child, grow into a man and Master Assassin makes you develope a connection with him, something that is rare in the gaming world. But, it's nice to know he died peacefully as also one of the greatest Assassins in history. Nothing is true, everything is permitted. Requiescat in Pace, Ezio Auditore.
How can Desmond Miles be related to 3 different Assassins?
Altair Ibn-La'Ahad (1165-1257) was a Syrian Assassin during the Middle Ages, from 1191 until his death the mentor of the Assassins in the Levant. Raised to be an Assassin from birth, Altaïr obtained the rank of Master Assassin by his twenty-fourth year. However, following his failure to obtain the Apple from Robert de Sable in early 1191, and subsequently allowing the Templars to attack the city of Masyaf.

Ezio Auditore da Firenze (1459 – 1524) was a Florentine nobleman during the Renaissance and, unbeknownst to most historians and philosophers, the Mentor of the Italian branch of the Assassin Order, a title he held from 1503 to 1512.

A member of the House of Auditore, Ezio remained unaware of his Assassin heritage until the age of 17, when he witnessed the hanging of his father and two brothers, Federico and Petruccio. Forced to flee his birthplace with his remaining family members - his mother and sister - Ezio took refuge in the Tuscan town of Monteriggioni, at the Villa Auditore.

Born to a British father and Mohawk mother, Ratonhnhaké:ton was raised among his mother's tribe. He suffered severely during his childhood, largely from the tribe's encounters with European colonists; a conflict that reached its peak when his village was destroyed by a colonial force. This event prompted him to seek justice for his people and fight tyranny wherever he saw it. His endeavors eventually led to him joining the Assassin Order in 1770, as well as adopting the name "Connor" in order to more easily move through colonial circles.

Five years later, the American Revolutionary War erupted, and Connor found himself siding with the leaders of the American revolution, namely George Washington and Benjamin Franklin, partially due to his belief in the ideals that they represented.

Even with all of this information, nothing here tells us that there is a connection with these assassins, because Altair was born in Syria, then Ezio was born in Italy and lastly Connor was raised in America. Also many people think that Ezio and Altair are related, but Ubisoft said that there are in no way connect by family. Additionaly when I was doing research into this I found a geneaology of Subject 17 by Abstergo. From close analysis this is not published by Ubisoft it is a fake made by a random person. :This isn't the place to ask this question, and this question already has been asked so many times. The genealogy is from the Abstergo Files in Revelations. As for how Desmond is related to all of them while they are related, take a look at any family tree. Your grandmother from your mother's side isn't related to you grandfather from your father's side, and your great-great-great-great-grandmother from your mother's side isn't related to your great-great-great-great-grandfather from your father's side and on and on. Your own parents aren't even related to each other, only by marriage. As for how Desmond is American while Altaïr is Syrian, Ezio Italian and Connor half British; migration is the answer. People move to different places, and eventually all their bloodlines wound up in America. -- Master Sima Yi 19:37, May 29, 2012 (UTC)
About the whole past tense thing...
I know I'm a newcomer here, but I've edited on many other wikis. I have no illusions that my one post will effect a sweeping change, but I aim to stand my ground on this for as long as I edit here. If anyone 'fixes' my contributions to conform to their sillyness, I will personally change it back. I will not go as far as to edit contributions of others to suit my tastes, unless it is part of a page which I entirely revamp for more practical purposes.

I really cannot understand why everything - and I mean everything - is written in past tense. Look, I get it, this is a series about historical fiction. I imagine some people feel more immersed writing about the things like they actually happened. But please, I beg of you, limit the use of past tense to actually talking about events in the timeline.

Game features do not merit past tense. They are features of a video game, media that is immediately accessible to anyone who owns them. People currently playing the games are doing the things you are writing about. It is simply nonsensical and asinine to write about them like they happened some time in the past.

Individual portions of memories do not merit past tense. If I see a walkthrough on this wiki that says 'Ezio then jumped from the beam he was on to the beam ten feet up and twenty feet over' I will actually choke a virtual kitten.

The only way I will budge is if there is an actual document about contributions on this wiki that requires all contributions to be formatted in this manner. If that is the case, I will simply abstain from contributing to this wiki.

::Molotov hit it right on the head; as a policy, we make all articles be past tense. This has been our policy for a long time, and changing it would require a massive amount of rewriting, which is unreasonable for us to expect from our fanbase. Logistics aside, the Writing Tense policy article makes it clear that we are considering the most recent event or moments after it to be considered the present, so everything else, including the game development or playthroughs to have happened in the past. Encyclopedial past tense is simplest and most correct. Edit warring over this is not recommended. :::Incrognito, given that you now know why we write in the past tense I should point out that if you insist on being an irritant by continuing to change articles to the present tense, you will be banned from contributing, by someone. That said, since you have now been informed about our policy, I fully expect you will no longer be making contributions, as per your statement.

:::Further to this, I would like to point out that whilst you are correct in that the player is 'viewing' these memories (rw: missions) in a present day context, these memories are simply recordings of what happened historically. Ezio did jump from the beam; he's not still jumping from that beam now, (damnit, he'd be 557 years old), so we're not going to change it to the present tense.
::::::Alright. Admittedly, it was very poor form to start off in this tone. I actually did not know where to find the exact policy that I read just now (I thought it was possibly just a tradition and not actual policy). And given the approach I began with, I understand fully why you responded in kind.
::::::I guess what set me off was reading something like this:
::::::"Ezio could renovate a faction building for 1,200 florins, after which the members of the faction he assigned it to could be found outside. They would then assist Ezio after having received a payment." To me, this is extremely irritating. It is describing in past tense a game mechanic which is an interface for performing the action that Ezio did in the historical context. That said, since there is already a discussion on this matter, I will direct further debate - if I find the need to - to that discussion.
::::::I didn't mean to create the impression that I do not appreciate the past tense as a rule. I just feel like...perhaps it would be best to organize the sections of the pages to differentiate between the actual game mechanic granularity and the historical actions taken by the game character. And yes, I haven't made any edits to this wiki as of yet. I tend to think this is because the existing pages are actually quite comprehensive and well-formed for the most part, which I whole-heartedly appreciate. Hopefully this first impression hasn't irreparably damaged my credibility. I've done quite a job embarassing myself. Thank you for not immediately ejecting me, I know you probably had to resist the temptation! Incrognito (talk) 19:51, December 5, 2013 (UTC)
You provide a solid argument for you view (which is more than others have done in the past), but as you said, it was your tone. That aside, the reason we treat such an example in the past tense is answered by the idea of synchronization; specifically, we work on the assumption that absolutely everything that can be done in the memory was, at some point, actually done by the ancestor.

Ezio did, historically, at some point, fund the renovation of a guild building blah, blah, blah. We know he did because, if the player elects not to, they will not obtain 100% synchronisation.

Saying "Ezio did this on that day..." is a lot easier than saying "Desmond Miles, while operating the Animus, engaged the virtual representation of his ancestor's genetic memory to renovate a guild building in order to increase his synchronisation level with the ancestor". --Jasca Ducato <small>(talk | contributions)</small> 20:36, December 5, 2013 (UTC)
I noticed that there are varying ways to denote the days certain events happened. I was wandering around the wiki lately and noticed that for many of the assassination targets, the subsection at the end of the page containing the target's last words had been deleted. It caught my attention, so I kept going around and then I noticed that all of the last words are gone for every single target.
Think this wiki needs something for each game that acts as a home page and has links to all relevant material for each game (such as secrets, characters, weapons, armor, etc). If there already is something like this, it needs to be more visible, because I can't seem to find it, and all I care about is info for Black Flag. The Black Flag page is just info about the game, like a regular wiki.
: ex. Locations link -> page with towns, forts, islands with names, etc etc -> links to specific pages with information. Add a description of the location, whether or not it's real place (does it have history? post it, why not), or any other types of obscure information that few people may care about (ie. what came in the regular edition release box for the xbox 360... the most useless part of Black Flag wiki).

: This isn't a new thing. I have used many wiki's in the past that break it down like this. It's not even that the content doesn't exist on the site, you just need to put it somewhere so everyone can see it.
Alright, that's the end of this thread. The point of this talk-page is to help make the page/wiki better. If all you are going to do is insult our users, I'm going to ask that you stop and move on. 20:55, June 27, 2014 (UTC)
: How about this; how about you give me your definition of "out of universe" and tell me why, exactly, "locations" doesn't fit into that "view", or armor and weapons - an actual reason that is meant to convince me one way or another, because you have yet to do that. It just sounds like some nerdy bullshit rule - I can't even describe how stupid it is.
This community's made the decision to do things as we do quite some time ago now, and it's what we're going for. Assassin's Creed no longer is just a video game franchise and we're not trying to be a game guide. We never have, not even before we made the formal change to the format we're applying now. I can understand that your expectations of what a 'video game' wiki should offer are different than what you found here, but we're not the only ones doing this. If you wish things to change, you can propose that on the forums with a well-written explanation of why it should be. Otherwise, I'm going to tell you to refrain from resorting to insults, because it is not helping your case. If nobody has anything useful to add to this discussion anymore - do the logical thing and don't add anything. -- 21:48, June 27, 2014 (UTC)
Memory Alpha isn't directly involved with Star Trek Online, but it's wiki page is still impressive despite being primarily for the TV shows. The Star Trek Online wiki itself breaks down more about the game than this one does for any of the Assassin's Creed titles as far as I know. Madae (talk) 22:26, June 27, 2014 (UTC)
Mainpage suggestion
I'm an AC fan, and I LOVE THIS WIKI, and I think we should add Assassin's Creed Freedom Cry to the main page where it says spinoffs or main games. Thanks guys, Raj Rajdeep Rana 22

:Thanks, it's a good suggestion given the DLC was given a stand-alone release. --Alientraveller (talk) 22:51, July 18, 2014 (UTC)

::It doesn't fit as a main game. Spin-off is also a stretch, given it's literally a 9-mission DLC released as a standalone. Currently the logo at the top of the website is the Assassin insignia of the Caribean Assassin pirates from AC4. Since AC4 was released a long time ago and we have a new logo for AC Unity, I think we should switch to that one.
