So, what brings you to me?
Rosa was a member of the thieves faction led by Antonio in Assassin's Creed II. Ezio first encounters Rosa upon arriving in Venice, where she pickpockets him out of the money he was about to use to purchase a wooden model for Leonardo. Later, Ezio saves her after she was shot with an arrow to the leg and was unable to run away from the guards. She eventually teaches Ezio the new "jump to a higher ledge" ability which becomes extremely important in the later stages of the game.

Early life
Rosa was born in 1460. Nine months before, a Venetian nobleman paid a prostitute for her services, and Rosa was the result of this event. The prostitute probably couldn't raise the child, so Rosa survived in the streets of Venice alone. At the age of 15, Rosa tried to steal from Antonio, a stranger to her at this point, but was caught. Antonio, being the chief of the Venetian Thieves Guild decided to keep Rosa as his pupil rather than sending her to the guards. Throughout her apprenticeship, Antonio noted many of her talents, especially her high level of agility. Antonio seems to maintain a very parental relationship with Rosa as he will often call her sweetheart or little darling. After Ezio saves her, Antonio thanks and tells him that she is what is most precious to him.

Characteristics and personality
Rosa, being the only female of the Venetian Thieves Guild members has a very aggressive, tough personality to match the male dominated group. For example, a note from Antonio states that the thieves who tried to kiss Rosa were badly beaten up by her afterwards. She is not afraid to give orders or speak her mind to her fellow thieves as she will yell and insult them to their face.

Rosa also appears to have one of the dirtiest mouths in the game; this is shown after she gets shot in the leg, when she shouts "Bastardi!" left and right.
Upon her initial run in with Ezio she claims she does not need assistance with her wound and Ezio is forced to follow and protect her until she eventually falls, at which point he carries her to safety. After being rescued, Rosa’s personality and attitude toward Ezio changes drastically, becoming extremely flirtatious and more intimate. She seems to revert to her true self when around him instead of the tough thief image she maintains most of the time.

Relationship with Ezio
Like a lot of women in Assassin’s Creed II, Rosa becomes attracted to Ezio after their initial meeting, although she tried to pickpocket him by pretending to bump into him, causing Ezio to call her a jerk. However, unlike the majority of Ezio’s other love interests presented throughout the game, Ezio maintains a close, intimate friendship with Rosa and the two are often seen flirting whenever in each other's company, with an implied relationship during that period of their lives. Although, in the novel Assassin's Creed: Renaissance, Ezio and Rosa do have an intimate relationship together, constantly flirting and many cases of kissing.

Trivia
*Rosa moves and fights like an Agile.
*In the novel Assassin's Creed: Renaissance, it is said that she is one of the best free-runners in the Venezia Thieves Guild.
*Rosa highly resembles the modern-day Assassin Rebecca Crane.
*In Eagle vision, she will turn red for a split-second after you have assassinated Emilio Barbarigo

Carlo Grimaldi (1445-1485) was a Templar and a government official. He was close to Doge Mocenigo of Venice and plotted to kill him. He was also a member of the Council Of Ten.

Carlo craved political power, and knew the Doge of Venice very well. Emerging from his palace in Monaco he used this to his advantage, and had heard that a member of the Council Of Ten's daughter was in love with a servant but her father, Ignazio Contarini, would not allow it. Carlo told them to escape on a boat that very night. When they arrived at the boat, they found Carlo waiting for them with a few guards and the Ignazio himself. The servant was killed and the Doge trusted Carlo enough to allow him into the Council Of Ten.

Carlo is first seen meeting with Emilio Barbarigo in the Palazzo della Seta and informing him of Ezio's arrival in Venice. He also informs Emilio of a meeting in Campo San Stefano later with other Templars. He leaves just before Emilio is assassinated. He is next seen in Venice meeting with Marco Barbarigo, Dante Moro, Silvio Barbarigo, and Rodrigo Borgia as they plot to poison the Doge so Marco can replace him. He doesn't seem to trust or like Silvio very much.

Carlo is later encountered in the Palazzo Ducale (Doge's palace), prior to Ezio Auditore's arrival via Leonardo da Vinci's Flying Machine, where he is playing chess with the Doge after hearing a commotion outside the Palace. Ezio rushes in only to realize that it was too late, the Doge has been poisoned. Carlo blames Ezio and runs out of the room, yelling to the guards that Ezio killed the Doge. Ezio pursues him and assassinates him in the courtyard.

Final Words
Ezio: It takes one Assassin to kill another, it seems.

Carlo: We kill thinking it's best for us, do we not, Messer Ezio?

Ezio: I do this not for myself. Compio questo sacrificio per il bene superiore. (I make this sacrifice for the greater good.) Requiescat in Pace. (Rest in peace)

thumb|300px|left|
Trivia
*The fictional character Carlo comes from the real House of Grimaldi which still rules over Monaco today.
*Carlo's death was featured in the E3 demo, but greatly differed from the one in the released game. Carlo's assassination was during Carnevale, instead of Marco Barbarigo's assassination. The death of the Doge of Venice was also excluded and an extra scene with Carlo and a guard was added; the guard running to Carlo, screaming about Ezio's Flying Machine, with Carlo replying, "Coward! The Devil is not the one you need to fear," before stabbing the guard in the chest, "Tell him hello for me! I know you're here, assassin! show yourself, or are you afraid?"
**According to the Animus database's filter, Carlo is not a Templar (while plotting with them). However, when viewing the portraits of Ezio's victims in his room of the Villa Auditore, Carlo's portrait says he is a Templar.
**At the time of his death, Carlo would have been around 40 years old, (the same age as Ezio during the end of the game) yet he appears to be much older, with features such as gray hair/beard, whereas Ezio only grew facial hair at 40, his birthday may be a possible error in the Database.
**Before you assassinate Emilio Barbarigo, if you turn on eagle vision Grimaldi will turn red although you have not learned he is a templar yet.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is an upcoming direct sequel of 2009's Assassin's Creed II. Featuring Ezio once again, the game pictures him, now a legendary master assassin, leading his newly found brotherhood in a hunt for Templars. This is also the first game of the series to include a multiplayer mode of any kind.

Desmond Miles will make an appearance in Brotherhood, so the main storyline does progress. His voice actor Nolan North has admitted to be working on a new Assassin's Creed game and game developers announced that his story would "take an interesting turn".

Story
Following the events of Assassin's Creed II, Desmond Miles relived more of Ezio Auditore da Firenze's memories who became a legendary Master Assassin. However, after a surprise Templar attack on the town of Monteriggioni, led by Cesare Borgia, the Assassins were brought to the verge of extinction, and the Apple of Eden lost.

With his uncle Mario dead and his villa in ruins, Ezio had to travel Rome, center of power and corruption, home of the Templar Order in Italy in order to regain the Apple of Eden and bring the Templar Order to its knees once and for all. Not only would Ezio have to succeed in destroying the threat of the Templars, but Desmond himself faced problems of his own.

Ezio needed help, so he recruited rebellious citizens who were bullied by Templars. When they were saved they knelt before him, swearing their allegiance to him. Twelve Borgia towers tyrannized Rome and Ezio found more allies with their destruction.
Also, there are little symbols added to the weapon symbols like the Hidden Gun to the Longsword, Throwing Knives to the Short Blade, and the Poison Darts to the Poison Blade. These symbols represent the weapon that can be combined with the current weapon. This combination is shown in the E3 2010 Demo of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and in a screenshot when Ezio kills a guard with his Sword and then quickly shoots him with the Hidden Gun.
Singleplayer
Ubisoft claims (through conferences, videos and announces) that Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood will include new features, especially small gameplay add-on (i.e.: the flying sequence in Assassin's Creed II, different from the rest of the gameplay). New weapons such as the crossbow will be introduced, and new combat elements will also be introduced, rewarding those who attack first, for example. Additionally enemies will more likely attack together instead of just one at a time as seen in previous installments. Ezio will also make use of a parachute throughout the game, most likely designed by Leonardo da Vinci himself. . They're maneuverable enough to land on horses and other spots. Unlike in Assassin's Creed II you can re-play to a previous memory.

Ezio will have to train apprentices, help other assassins, and confront enemies along with them.

Ezio's ability to train and send other assassins on jobs and missions may have a key gameplay element in such that their success may have a small impact of the storyline, much like the progression of the game through upgrading Rome. This success will depend on abilities of the assassins sent, where younger, less experienced assassins will have a higher failure rate than older, more experienced ones. If your assassins die on a mission, they will not return. Ezio may also have the ability to select and bring along a group of assassins to assist in his missions, Ubisoft has said that in Brotherhood leadership is as vital a skill as the ability to use a sword. Also mentioned was the ability to select an assassin as Ezio's "personal assassin", no further information about this was given.

Multiplayer
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is the first Assassin's Creed game to feature a multiplayer mode. The players are Templars in training at the Abstergo facility. They use the Animus and the Bleeding Effect to train in combat, stealth and free running. The simulation consists of stalking and killing one another. The area in which the Templar assassins train is selected manually, as pre-set maps.

One of the multiplayer game modes has been announced in the July edition of Playstation magazine. This mode is called "Wanted". Six to eight players are dropped on a map where they find and kill each other. Each player is given a target, which is another player. Your goal is to find and kill your target without being seen or killed by your own predator. If you break your cover and your target sees you, a chase sequence will commence. They will try to catch and kill you and you will have to hide from them.

In Hunter mode, one player will take the role of an assassin while other players play as guards. Before the beginning of the mission the player will have to choose his class - there is no information how many classes will be available, but each class will have different animations and weapons. After the player has chosen his class, the radar will show him the area where his target is located and the number of enemy players that are searching for him. After the player has found the location where the victim is hiding they must then locate their target. There aren’t many skins for the NPCs so the player might find several identical people on the same location. That will make his job a lot harder because he should kill only one person, and if the player accidentally kills an innocent person he will lose his contract. Therefore, observation is the key to success in this mode. Ubisoft hints that each multiplayer character will appear in some form in the single-player mode too.

No further specifics about game modes are known.

The Beta comes out in September. You can only play the Beta on the PS3. However it is only available in North America for the time being. To get it, you must pre-order the PS3 version of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood at Gamestop.

Physics and effects
After some criticism from PC gamers about the Ragdoll physics in previous installments, Ubisoft has stated that the physics will be improved upon in Brotherhood, as well as several graphical effects in the game.

Ragdolls will fall much more realistic due to the new, edited "Havok" engine. In the other games, ragdolls sometimes would convulse when hitting the floor after being thrown off a building.

Controlling the Assassins
During the game you will have the option of sending Assassins to different areas to complete tasks. You will have the ability to send new assassins to other European countries and complete missions to gain status. The cities you can send Assassins are Florence, Venice, Barcelona, Rome, London, Calicut, Lisbon, Constantinople and Cologne.Once they have proven themselves effectively, they can accompany you on missions in Rome. The new assassins are recruited when Ezio rescues them from harassing guards, which leads them to join the Assassins. You can have the ability to train young Assassins and have them do jobs for you.

If an Assassin fails to pass a mission, he or she can't be used again. You can also customize the assassins' armor and weaponry, and each one has a different personality. Later on you can use experience points they've gained to upgrade their fighting and free-running abilities.
*So far it's known that you will be able to train at least twelve assassins, male or female, at a time and possibly bring up to five, including the "personal assassin", on missions.
*So far, Ezio and Desmond are the only known playable characters in the singleplayer game campaign

*In the E3 2010 Single Player Walkthrough, the "Press Start/Enter" menu background changes from the original Animus in Assassin's Creed to the Animus 2.0 in Assassin's Creed II. As all of the characters in the multiplayer mode are Templars, it can be seen that they are using Abstergo Animi.
