[[File:Altair_and_Ezio_by_DarkEspada.jpg|thumb|The assassins from number 1 and 2.]]
Although Ubisoft has not confirmed anything yet creative director Patrice Desiliets has said that there will be an Assassins Creed 3. This installment will see Desmond become the ultimate assassin.

"Assassins Creed is story of one man relieving the lives of his ancestors. Altair was the middle of a very very long timeline. There are still many places to explore"

“Assassins Creed has always been planned to be a trilogy, and Desmond is going back in time, using the Animus to eventually become the ultimate assassin.”

-Patrice Desiliets

At E3 2009 he exclaimed “I’m telling you. At the end of AC2 you’ll say‚ ‘Holy crap, I never saw it coming!’ There will be a cliffhanger. It’s cool to have a cliffhanger,” that leads into Assassin’s Creed 3. As for the writing on the wall Patrice says “It has nothing to do with Assassin’s Creed 2, it has to do with the Assassin’s Creed universe, not the second one.”

Do you think Desmond will be a good enough assassin to save the world by December 21st 2012?

More recently as Patrice was wrapping up production on Assassin’s Creed 2’s in September he mentions he’s looking forward to rounding out the trilogy. “I have many different ideas. I’m not ready yet to exploit them. I think I have some juice left in me left to continue this. I’ve been doing Assassin’s Creed games for the past six years. It’s tough to be bored. I was a bit bored with the Turk crusade and the monk aspect, and everything, but in this there’s a brand new setting. And it’s my first sequel; I never did a sequel before, because I didn’t do any Prince of Persia sequels. I love the idea of refining your ideas, the gameplay and what you can do with it. So I’m not bored yet.”

I wonder what change of scenery we can expect in Assassin’s Creed 3? This game will most likely be released on or just before December 21st 2012.

== Possible Locations: ==
There has been certain rumours going around that the third game will be set in WW2 era England and France. You will also play as a female assassin.
==Use==
The iconic weapon of the Assassins Creed series, this weapon is useful both for regular combat and for stealthy, low-profile assassinations. An unaware target may be stabbed (with a variety of animations depending on the angle of attack) without drawing too much attention. When stealth is not a priority, Ezio may perform a high profile assassination. This involves jumping upon an opponent and causing his victim to fall on the ground, then the blade is triggered, stabbing the opponent in the throat, or jabbing the blade into the target's chin, and on into the brain, when right in front of you, between other exampleskilling the target. When used in regular combat, there are a gerat many killing animations.

Both low and high profile assassinations may fail. A guard wary of your actions may catch your arms when you attempt the kill and throw you back. Counter-maneuvers using the blade are possible in active combat.

Be aware, of course, that you will lose a lot of synchronization if you assassinate innocent civilians with the hidden blade, just as with any other weapon.

===In combat===
The hidden blade can also be used while in combat. It can be easiely used on weak enemies, just pushing him to the ground (High-Profile+Shift) and then moving for the kill while he lays on the ground.

In ''Assassin's Creed II'', the use of the hidden blade in combat is more "classical": we can use it as a normal blade attack weapon, and try to break the enemy's defenses instead of just trying to assassinate him. Moreover, the dual wielding of the blades make the combat with hidden blades easier.
