He uses a sharp [[Multiplayer Weapons#Razor|razor]] as his primary weapon.

In ''[[Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy]]'', it is revealed that he was [[Cesare Borgia]]'s master spy, and that he was not actually a barber. At one point, he partnered with [[Courtesan|Fiora Cavazza]] to investigate the [[Assassins]]. Though he failed to tail or catch his prey, he was able to observe their technique, clothing, and [[hidden blade]], and took notes eagerly. This research resulted in him creating the [[Templar]] assassin, [[Prowler|Il Lupo]].

Later, when Fiora turned on Cesare and allied with the Assassins, he was able to outwit his hunters using a variety of traps. However, he was intrigued by Fiora's decision and offered to make a deal with her. The "deal" turned out to be a trap that almost resulted in Fiora's death, but [[Francesco Vecellio]] and his fellow Assassins came to her aid, and killed Baltasar and his men with arrows.

===The Straight Shave===
The Barber approaches his target from behind and forces him/her on their knees. He then holds their chin, causing the neck to extend, takes out his razor and slices the target's throat. The target then falls to the ground, dead. (Low Profile Kill)

===The Cut-Throat Razor===
The barber fluidly side steps in front of his target as he delivers a lethal slash with his razor to the neck. (High Profile Kill)

===The Double Swipe===
As he walks towards his target, the barber swiftly pulls out his razor and delivers a double slice to the neck, effectively ending their life. (Low Profile Kill)

==Trivia==
*The barber bears a certain resemblance to [[wikipedia:Johnny Depp|Johnny Depp]]'s portrayal of [[wikipedia:Sweeney Todd|Sweeney Todd]], the Demon Barber of Fleet Street. They both kill people with straight razors, and have black hair with streaks of white in them.
*He was originally called the Butcher.
*His surname, "de Silva," means "of the forest," which is possibly a reason for his emerald green apparel. It could also mean that he was born in a forest.
*He also bears a striking resemblance to [[wikipedia: Gangs of New York|Gangs of New York]]'s Bill "The Butcher" Cutting.
*His secondary color in multiplayer changes his green vest to red. Also, his advanced gear gives him an armor plate for his right hand.

The '''Blacksmith''' (real name '''[[Auguste Oberlin|Augustine Oberlin]]''') is an unlockable multiplayer character in ''[[Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood]]''. He uses a large [[Multiplayer Weapons#Hammer|hammer]] as his primary weapon. He was a Swiss [[mercenary]] and appears in the story mode of ''Brotherhood ''as a Templar Agent. To unlock the Blacksmith, the player has to reach level 15.

[[Fiora Cavazza]] was actually shocked by him, as he gave the impression of a brute while being a very cultured man.

In 1503 [[Ezio Auditore]] saw a woman sitting on a bench in town beaten and bruised, and he asked the woman who had done this to her. She replied that her husband changed as the [[Borgia]] gave him what he wanted and instead of him posting signs for the shops, he claimed them in the name of the Borgia and hurt any who stood in his way. Ezio tore down the Borgia posters one by one until Augustine heard of this. Enraged, he found Ezio and attacked with brute force, aided by his hammer, but instead fell by the blade of the Assassin, putting his control over the neighborhood shops to an end.

The blacksmith creeps up behind his victim and then picks him\her up with both hands and then slams the victims back on his knee, crushing their spine. He then drops the lifeless body on the ground. This move can be performed from the front as well. (Low Profile Kill)
===Stop! Hammer Time===
The Blacksmith runs up behind his target. He takes out his hammer and with violent force sweeps his victim's legs out from beneath them causing them to fall backwards. He then swings the hammer onto their face smashing it in a bloody mess killing them instantly. (High Profile Kill)

*The Blacksmith's second color changes his red apron to blue, his third changes it to light blue, and his fourth changes it to dark red.
*The Blacksmith's Advanced gear turns his silver pauldrons and greaves gold, as well as gives him a more heavily armored glove.
*It is revealed in ''[[Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy]]'' that the Blacksmith crafted nearly all of the weapons used by the other multiplayer characters, including that of the [[Executioner]], the [[Harlequin]], the [[Priest (multiplayer character)|Priest]] and the [[Barber]].

The '''Harlequin''' (real name: '''Cahin '''<ref> [[Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy]] </ref> ) is an exclusive multiplayer character featured in ''[[Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood]]'', available via pre-order on Gamestop.com, Play.com and Ubisoft.com. He is also available in the HMV Exclusive Edition and the Limited Codex Edition of ''Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood''. A jack-in-the box of the Harlequin is also available to those who pre-order the Collector's edition of ''[[Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood]]'' from GameStop.

On November 16th 2010, gaming website Kongregate held a contest for a copy of ''Brotherhood'', which, to enter, you simply had to complete level 3 of Ultimate Assassin 2. One lucky winner would win the game with the exclusive Harlequin character and an Xbox 360 to play it on, and several other contestants would recieve a copy of the game with the exclusive character.

He uses two [[Multiplayer Weapons#Dagger|stiletto daggers]] as his primary weapons. Another playable multiplayer character, known as the [[Hellequin]], is confirmed to be his sister, as stated by their multiplayer character descriptions.

In ''[[Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy]]'', Cahin and his sister Caha are first encountered by [[Fiora Cavazza]] as they perform together. The performance turns out to be a trap, however, with Cahin, Caha, and Fiora killing all the guests present. Fiora notes to herself that the siblings seem to be mad, yet fun. Later on, when Fiora changes sides and joins the [[Assassins]] in weakening [[Cesare Borgia]]'s defenses, she aids in assassinating Cahin and Caha. The attack was successful, with the siblings dying together during the assault.

The Harlequin nearly stabs the target under the chest, flips over their back, then stabs the victim in the neck and to the right of the chest cavity, leaving them incapacitated and internally bleeding to death. (Low Profile Kill)

===Sacrifical Strike===
From behind, the Harlequin stabs the target's waist, making them fall. Right when they fall, he stabs their neck with the other dagger, then again with the other dagger, causing them to go limp. The body then falls to the ground as he withdraws the daggers. (Low Profile Kill)

===Killing Wheel===
The Harlequin does a cartwheel, kicking his victim in the head and knocking them to the floor. He then quickly stabs his victim in the chest, and allows them to fall to the floor as he withdraws his weapons (as seen at 0:19 in the video below). (High Profile Kill)

===More is Merrier===
The Harlequin pushes his target down and stabs their chest/neck maniacally several times. This can be performed running at or jumping on a target (as shown in the video below at 0:55). (High Profile Kill)
