The armor of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad was an unbreakable set of armor, usable in Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

History
thumb|left|300px|Auditore Villa Armory
Following the death of Al Mualim, Altaïr adopted the rank of Grand Master, eventually constructing an unbreakable set of armored robes; he chronicled its creation in his fabled Codex, wherein he admitted to discovering the properties of a new metal, from which the armor was created.

Following his death, Altaïr's armor was stored inside a vault below the Villa Auditore, and locked behind bars that only opened when all six seals from hidden Assassin's Tombs were collected and placed on their respective statues. In Altaïr's Codex, he claimed to have created a new metal that was incredibly strong, whilst also being light as a feather. In contrast to his older robes, Altaïr's armor was black, in line with the traditional color of the Grand Masters' robes.

At some point following his time in Italy, Ezio Auditore, a descendant of Altaïr and an Assassin in his own right, managed to uncover the six Assassin seals, and claimed the robes as his own. He would eventually wear this set of robes during his confrontation with Rodrigo Borgia in Rome.

Following this, Ezio returned to Monteriggioni and gave the armor a place of pride in his bed chamber. However, with the outbreak of the Siege of Monteriggioni, the armor was struck by a cannonball, and blown across the Tuscan countryside, or possibly buried beneath the rubble of the Villa Auditore. However, at the end of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Dev Diary #2, it is shown that Ezio is fighting Cesare in Spain with the armor on. Later, it's revealed that the armor would only be used during the beginning of Brotherhood, while escaping with Mario from the Vatican. In Assassin's Creed Brotherhood you can obtain Altairs Armor by spending twenty U-Play points.
Trivia
*According to a piece of concept art, it seems that the armor was intended to be an invention by Leonardo da Vinci before being a creation of Altaïr.
*While wearing the armor the hood is never down during cut-scenes where it would normally be down if wearing Giovanni's assassin robes.
*The cloak for Altaïr's armor, in addition to being black, is much longer than the one Ezio would wear with the other armors, and made up of three layers. Each layer is longer than the one above it, and the longest, lower layer is segmented, which gives the whole piece a look resembling Eagle's Wings. The back of the lower layer is also split down the middle, making it behave much like Altaïr's cloak from the original game, where each side would move up and down as the back of Altaïr's legs pushed against them.
*Altaïr's armor, unlike other armors in the game, can only be worn as a full set.
*This is the only armor in the game that cannot successfully be dyed: if it is dyed, it will still look the same.
*Though it is not mandatory to complete the 6 tombs, the player must get all the seals to get full synchronization.
Nikolai Orlov (Russian: Николай Орлов) was a Russian Assassin who lived during the late 19th and early 20th century.<br />
He is the protagonist of the upcoming comic entitled Assassin's Creed: The Fall. There will be three issues, each one concentrating on different periods of Orlov's life: as an apprentice Assassin, as a Master Assassin and as a veteran Assassin.

Biography
Orlov lived during the late 19th and early 20th century and operated mainly in Petrograd, Russia. During his training, he was apprenticed to a more experienced Assassin.

Orlov would have at least one child and was the ancestor of the modern-day Daniel Cross.

Appearance
Orlov wore a large fur coat with the traditional Assassin's hood. He wielded one Hidden Blade, a dagger, a sabre and a rifle. He wore a sash and a baldric with the Assassins' emblem on it.

Trivia
*The name Orelov is most likely based on the Russian surname, Orlov (Орлов), which means: "сын орла" (syn orla), or "son of oryol" and "oryol" means "eagle". It could also come from Orel, which is Czech, Slovenian and Bulgarian for eagle. In continuation of the series' tradition of referencing the protagonist's name of each time period to that of the eagle in the Assassin's native language or some derivation from a language connected to the Assassin's heritage. [Initial wrong opinion by non-Russian, saved for history]
*The name "Orelov" initially was a mistake; there is no surname like this in Russia. It was misinterpreted as the surname "Orlov", which actually does exist in Russia and doesn't have an actual meaning like "son of eagle" and could be only translated like "Eagles". It actually came from the Russian word "Орёл" (however, word "Orel" does exist in a wide group of slavic countries) which means "Eagle". After this was explained to Canadian artist & writer of AC comic - Karl Kerschl (http://twitter.com/karlkerschl) by Russian game designer & writer - Kirill Yarovoy (http://twitter.com/v00d00m4n), Orelov was renamed Orlov. In a newer interview (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wf7fzKziIjk) with another comic artist & writer - Cameron Stewart (http://twitter.com/cameronMstewart), he already pronounces surname as "Orlov" instead of initial "Orelov".
