The Hidden Gun is one of the upgrades made by Leonardo da Vinci on the wrist device (Hidden Blade) of Ezio in Assassin's Creed II.
The GUN is used for long ranged kills, as well as assassinating your targets (whereas in the first game, only the hidden blade could be used for assassinating your targets). It isn't stealthy, using it near a group of guards will likely attract attention, however it is a one shot kill. The downside, it takes a good deal of time to aim (it can be used without aiming, but you will most likely miss even at close range); the aiming consists of four lines converging together and accuracy depends on how long you spend aiming.
The Pistol is used for long ranged kills, as well as assassinating your targets (whereas in the first game, only the hidden blade could be used for assassinating your targets).
The special move of the pistol can be learnt for 5000f at the Villa, aiming at an enemy will intimidate them, to the point where they may flee.

67.180.67.191: /* Altaïr's armour */

This article is about the armour that is used in the Assassin's Creed series.

Altaïr's armour
In the first Assassin's Creed game, Altaïr does not wears any actual metal armour underneath his robes. Altaïr can take great amounts of damage without dying, because of Synchronization: Desmond, in the Animus, is able to take damage. The "real" Altaïr may have been too great a fighter to take any damage. So, when Desmond in the Animus takes damage, he loses Synchronization with the actual events.

Any underlying armor is never mentioned, never seen, and never upgraded during the game. Therefore there is no prove of its existence, and so it isn't considered cacvns af, making the acrobatic moves Altaïr performs certainly impossible.

Ezio's armour
Ezio can purchase different types of armor from blacksmiths throughout the game's various cities. He can purchase chest armor, greaves, spaulders/pauldrons, and gauntlets. Leather armor is the first available armor and provides health bonuses but no resistance bonuses. Later, he can purchase Helmschmied, a variant of leather with metal inlays; Lightweight metal armor, and Missaglias, a stylized metallic armor. Each armor after leather offers health bonuses and resistance bonuses. Armor can be damaged though so it's necessary to repair it at blacksmiths regularly.

The player is also able to unlock a unique and special set of Altaïr's armour by collecting Assassin's Plates from different assassins' tombs. It was stated that this is Altair's armour from after the events of the first game, when Altaïr takes Al Mualim's place as new head of the Assassin's Order.

After finding and placing all 6 Assassin's Seals in the sanctuary, Ezio unlocks Altair's armor. It consists of black clothing with specially made armor integrated into it, akin to the mythical properties of the Golden Fleece. As such, the armor never needs to be repaired. When dyed by the player, all that changes is the inside color of the armour. Page 19 of Altair's Codex reveals that the only suit made was owned by Altaïr, who destroyed the written formula out of fear for the armor becoming widely used, either by friend and foe alike.

Other characters
Assassin's Creed
Armour does appear on other characters in the game, and there are differences in the styles worn by guards in each city. The guards in Damascus can be found in either lamellar, likely leather, or ringmail armour. Guards in Acre can be found in brigantine armour and chain mail, some complete with coifs. Guards in Jerusalem are often found wearing scale or splintmail. Each of these guard types can be found in the Kingdom near their respective cities. The Knights Templar uniformly wear full suits of chain mail covered in a white tabbard with a red steel helm covering their face.

Assassin's Creed II
All types of soldiers in Assassin's Creed II will be armoured: some "regular" soldiers, some "archers", the "Paranoid" Halberdiers, even the fast moving "Agiles" and of course the heavily equipped "Brutes".
