Lucy Stillman (born 1988) is a member of the Assassin Order and former genetic memory researcher for Abstergo Industries' Animus project. During her infiltration of Abstergo, she reported back information to the Assassins on their recent activities. Once Desmond Miles had finished reliving his ancestor Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's memories, Lucy helped him to escape the Abstergo Laboratory. She then took him to the hideout, where he began his Assassin training, with the aid of new allies, Shaun Hastings and Rebecca Crane.

Biography
Early life
Before starting work with Abstergo Industries, Lucy Stillman attended university to study cognitive neuroscience, but was forced to leave when her mentors began to hold issue with her topic of study, considered pseudoscience. Forced out of the university, she applied at a variety of locations, and tried everything to achieve employment, at one point joking to Desmond, "I was this close to waiting tables."

Eventually, she was contacted by Dr. Warren Vidic, who offered her a position at Abstergo Industries. She accepted the offer, and began working with Dr. Vidic on his Animus project immediately. For the first three years, Lucy was largely responsible for the design of a number of the Animus's functions and interfaces. While Lucy was on fairly cordial and friendly terms with a few other employees at Abstergo, such as Richard, these same individuals were later ordered to have Lucy killed, before Vidic intervened, seeing her as a valuable employee.

Working for Abstergo
Lucy was first seen after she pulled Desmond out of the Animus, seeing that his subconscious would not let him view the specific memory that Abstergo wanted. As Vidic explained to Desmond what the Animus does and what genetic memories are, she explained Abstergo's goal, without revealing too much information to Desmond.

In between sessions, Lucy asked Desmond questions concerning his past, and answered his about Abstergo, while trying not to reveal too much information. Lucy also stated that he was not the only person Abstergo was detaining, and that she too was an unfortunate captive. She then told him a story of how, in the past, Abstergo had decided to silence her, inorder to keep her from speaking about the Animus; but before her assailants could eliminate her, they were ordered to stand down by Warren Vidic. She claimed that he had saved her life that day, and told Desmond not to judge Dr. Vidic so harshly, as he was under a lot of pressure.

As more time passed on, Lucy left the access codes in Desmond's wardrobe, so that he could finally leave his room. On the Animus, Desmond found Lucy's pen, which was also left there for him to find. This gave him access to her computer, so he could read her E-mails. Later, Lucy revealed to Desmond that she is also an Assassin, and was only undercover to learn more about Abstergo's plans.

When Desmond finished his time in the Animus, three Abstergo Executives, along with Vidic, decided to kill Desmond, seeing as they had retrieved the information they needed. Lucy however intervened, and convinced them to keep Desmond for more testing, as his memories could still reveal more about the locations of the Pieces of Eden.

Escape to the Hideout
A few hours after Lucy and Vidic left, Desmond was still trapped in the lab, after he had used his new skill, Eagle Vision, to view Subject 16's hidden messages. Suddenly, Lucy rushed into the room, with stains of blood on her shirt from fighting her way through the Abstergo facility. Lucy told Desmond that there was no time to waste, and that he had to get into the Animus to retrieve the memory core data. Lucy wrote the data on a disk and, along with Desmond, began to flee. The two successfully fought their way out of the facility, and eventually made it to the parking lot. There, they found themselves confronted by more guards. Quickly disposing of them, Lucy told Desmond to go into the trunk of a car "for [his] own protection." When the drive was over, the pair arrived at the hideout. Before they entered the main room, Lucy told Desmond that she had brought him to the hideout to train him to become an Assassin, by using the Animus 2.0 and its Bleeding Effect to imprint skills through another ancestor, Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Entering the main room, Lucy's fellow Assassins, Shaun Hastings and Rebecca Crane, introduced themselves to Desmond, and began preparations for the sessions. Later in the day, Lucy evaluated Desmond's progress, by tasking him with setting up the security systems. Inbetween sessions, they also spoke of issues such as the Templars, and other Assassins.

After Desmond discovered the Vault in Rome by reliving Ezio's memories, the alarm went off as Abstergo invaded their hideout. In a rush, Lucy gave Desmond a Hidden Blade similar to Ezio's, and they made their way downstairs. When Lucy encountered Warren Vidic in the warehouse, he reminded her that he had saved her life. Vidic burst out in anger as he stated his disappointment in her because of her "betrayal". Both Lucy and Desmond engaged in a fight with the Abstergo guards, quickly defeating them. Vidic was last seen in the back of a truck, stating that the attack was only the beginning, and then fled. When Desmond started to go after him, Lucy stopped him and said that they will bring Vidic to justice for what he has done eventually. Lucy and the others evacuated the hideout, as their location had been revealed, and Abstergo would be back with reinforcements. They left in a van to hide in the mountains, and Desmond prepared to enter the Animus again to continue their search for clues. Meanwhile, Lucy continued to study the session notes to try to figure out what the "goddess" Minerva had meant, telling Desmond that everything she had feared was starting to happen.

Search for the Apple
After a long drive, the Assassins finally arrived in modern-day Monteriggioni, setting up a new hideout in the sanctuary underneath the Villa Auditore. She and Desmond both opened the door to the Sanctuary by passing through the underground sewers and tunnels.

After Desmond relived Ezio's last memories, the Assassins discovered that Ezio had hidden the Apple of Eden in a vault underneath Santa Maria Aracoeli. After Desmond retrieved the Apple within the vault, Juno took control of Desmond's body and said that "The Path must be opened. The scales shall be balanced." Desmond was then forced to stab Lucy with his hidden blade, her fate remains unknown.

Personality
Let me guess, you're more the in-bed-at-six type.
In contrast to Warren Vidic's personality, Lucy is a warm and appreciative individual with a bright personality. She always lends encouraging words and sympathy towards Desmond, though it irritates him sometimes. At times, when Warren Vidic attempts to force Desmond to go deeper into the Animus memory, Lucy will stop him from doing so, and plead with Vidic to allow Desmond to rest, showing her caring personality.

Lucy is also both cunning and resourceful, keeping Desmond's night-time explorations of the Animus room secret, but becomes irate or worried under too much pressure. She becomes sensitive to the death of her colleagues, particularly her friend Leila Marino, as well as her role in Subject 16's loss of sanity, and the stress over the death of two more teams (eight Assassins) in the field.

Trivia
* She is modeled after and voiced by Kristen Bell.
* The achievement "Conversationalist" can be unlocked in the Xbox 360 version of Assassin's Creed by talking to Lucy every time Desmond exits the Animus. Note that you must talk to her completely, until she says that she's too busy to talk, or asks if he's tired.
* Lucy's character model is drastically altered between games. In the first Assassin's Creed, she is dressed in appropriate business attire. In Assassin's Creed II, her clothes are much more casual, and has a slightly more curvaceous figure, and different facial structure, with larger eyes and lipstick. Lucy's eyes also go from blue-grey to completely blue. In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, her model is again altered, looking closer to the first game's version, and wearing a brown jacket over her clothes from Assassin's Creed II.
* In Assassin's Creed II, it is revealed that she is a very successful fighter, taking down many Abstergo guards while she and Desmond were escaping the Hideout, and in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, she is seen to have a similar level of free-running abilities to Desmond and his ancestors.
*It is implied throughout Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood that Lucy and Desmond have feelings for each other. There is evidence of this, by her caring for his well-being due to the Bleeding Effect, as well as hugging him, and saying that she's glad he's with the Assassins.
**In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, an E-mail she received from William M. also further implies that Lucy has feelings for Desmond. The message states that she should not keep Desmond out of danger "just because of feelings she may or may not have" for him.
*In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Lucy has Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy up on her computer in the sanctuary, currently set to the memory sequence for Mario Auditore.
*Lucy's E-mail password in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is "Juno57". This proves to be foreshadowing, as Juno is the one who controls Desmond when he stabs Lucy.
*While Desmond talks to Lucy outside the Villa in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, she comments that nearly a decade of her life has been spent searching for the Pieces of Eden. That would mean she had been looking for the Pieces since she was at least 14 years old (according to her birth year).
*Her apperance is remarkably similar to that of the cartoon character Ilana from cartoonetwork's series Symbionic Titan.

AC1
Modern Times refer to the time between the beginning of the 20th century and 2012, the year in which Desmond Miles begins to access the memories of his Assassin ancestors, Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad and Ezio Auditore da Firenze.

Description
The war between the Assassins and Templars still continues in secrecy. The Assassins have become largely diminished and have gone into hiding, while the Templars' influence has greatly expanded, controlling many puppet corporations such as Abstergo. Many historical events have been orchestrated by the Templars and Assassins, including the Tunguska event, the Manhattan Project, the Philadelphia Project and even World War II.

By 2012, Earth has already begun to decay. Reading Warren Vidic's e-mail reveals that a 'Second Plague' has struck Africa, which was possibly released on purpose by Abstergo, leaving 96% (which is about 96,000,000 people) of the population dead in a three month period, and the continent nearly uninhabited. Another e-mail states how illegal immigration into Mexico from the United States of America has become widespread. The motion-picture industry has collapsed, as the last film studio closed due to piracy, and the rising prominence of video games. The U.S. and E.U. are constructing jointly owned oil platforms in the Weddell Sea. 'Hurricane Season' has become a yearly occurrence, as hurricane duration, frequency, strength, and location have increased to the point where most coastal cities must live in constant fear of the fierce storms.

In September of 2012, Abstergo Industries was being investigated for manipulating a small town's water supply, in order to test a synthetic drug referred to as New Fluoride. This has pressured Abstergo to launch their Eye-Abstergo satellite -- secretly a Piece of Eden-powered mind-control device -- on December 21st, sooner than planned.

At the end of Assassin's Creed II, Minerva revealed that the Earth is going to experience a geomagnetic reversal in the near future, leading to a period where solar radiation could easily penetrate to the surface of the planet and cause severe catastrophe. It is possible that the Pieces of Eden will be used to thwart this disaster.

The present-day segments of Assassin's Creed are confirmed to take place in Italy, since writing in the Abstergo parking lot and hideout is in Italian, and Florentine-style buildings can be seen through the hideout's windows. Interestingly, although it is assumed that the Hideout and Abstergo Industries are in present-day Italy, most of the characters speak with an American accent.

To reinforce the idea of an Italian setting, after the events of Assassin's Creed II, Desmond, Lucy, Shaun and Rebecca take base in the Sanctuary under the Auditore Family Villa in the remnants of Monteriggioni.

View Points are any structure high enough for it to be possible to observe the surrounding terrain. They range from church towers and mansions' roof beams in the cities, to watchtowers and guardposts on the roads. They help reveal the map to the protagonist.

Assassin's Creed
In the first game, view points were found in all the cities (Damascus, Jerusalem and Acre) and in the Kingdom, excluding Masyaf. Each map contained 10 to 12 view points located on the highest buildings; such as a cross on top of a Catholic Cathedral, or the top of a lighthouse in the port-city of Acre, or a palace guard tower in the city of Damascus. Aside from by the height of those constructions, they could be located by watching the birds that nest there. Climbing atop one of the structures provided the means to activate (or Synchronize) the View Point, using the Head Button.

Those view points allowed Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad to observe the layout of the terrain around him and watch the movement of its people. After the first view point in a map was "activated," it revealed the location of the remaining points and missions within a certain radius.

Some viewpoints had archers defending the position, or guards set around and below it. They could either fire arrows or throw rocks to prevent a climber from reaching the top. When the player ascends to the synchronization point of the building, an eagle will be seen flying around the viewpoint, occasionally stopping to perch itself on the viewpoint. All the view points have carts or piles of hay on the ground at the very bottom, providing perfect and spectacular locations for the performance of an incredible-but-potentially-fatal Leap of Faith.
Achievement
On the Xbox 360 version you can get an achievement by synchronizing with all View Points.
Assassin's Creed II
Assassin's Creed IIs view points function much the same and some are located on famous land marks of Italy. Ezio Auditore will not only be able to dive into carts and stacks of hay such as in the first game, but also into carts of flower petals, leaves and bodies of water. There are seventy-three View Points in the game (66 not including DLC's) and you get an achievement/trophy (&quot;I like the view&quot;) by synchronizing with ten View Points. You can also get the achievement "High Dive" where you perform a Leap of Faith on top of Giotto's Campanile in Florence.
Note: The map will remain devoid of structures until the player has ascended a View Point in the area and synchronized with it.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
View points function in the same way as in Assassin's Creed II, and there are 24 of them scattered around Rome, half of them being Borgia towers, and some of them are located on famous monuments, such as the Colosseum and Pantheon.<br/><br/><br/><br/>

Trivia
*In the achievements for Assassin's Creed, the "Fearless" achievement refers to View Points as "Reach High Points". In other areas of the game they are also referred to as "Eagle Points".
*In Assassin's Creed, you may activate Eagle Vision once you have Synchronized the View Point. However in Assassin's Creed II and Brotherhood, attempting to hold "Y" or triangle will simply have Ezio "Interact" with the View Point, showing the camera spin cutscene. But it is possible to move off the View Point, activate Eagle Vision, and then move back onto the beam.
*In each game the highest point is either inaccessible or not a viewpoint: in Assassin's Creed it's the fortress of Masyaf, in Assassin's Creed II it's the Basilica Santa Maria del Fiore, and in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood it's the Castel Sant'Angelo.
*One of Altair's available viewpoints in Jerusalem is the Dome of the Rock.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is a novel based on the game of the same name, released on November 25, 2010. Written once again by Oliver Bowden, it is a direct sequel to Assassin's Creed: Renaissance.

Description
"I will journey to the black heart of a corrupt Empire to root out my foes. But Rome wasn't built in a day and it won't be restored by a lone assassin. I am Ezio Auditore da Firenze. This is my brotherhood."

Rome, once mighty, lies in ruins. The city swarms with suffering and degradation, her citizens living in the shadow of the ruthless Borgia family. Only one man can free the people from the Borgia tyranny - Ezio Auditore, the Master Assassin. Ezio's quest will test him to his limits. Cesare Borgia, a man more villainous and dangerous than his father the Pope, will not rest until he has conquered Italy. And in such treacherous times, conspiracy is everywhere, even within the ranks of the brotherhood itself...

Differences in the Novel
*Mario Auditore is both shot and beheaded during the defense of Monteriggioni. Cesare then waves Mario's head at Ezio, shouting "You're next!" to him as he escapes with the townspeople.
*Ezio and Cesare meet during the Siege of Monteriggioni and Ezio is shot by Octavian de Valois. In the game, Ezio and Cesare don't meet until later, and Ezio is shot by an arquebusier.
*Leonardo da Vinci is present and stands with Cesare at the Siege of Monteriggioni.
*Mario Auditore was said to be the Grand Master of the Assassin Order prior to his death during the Siege of Monteriggioni.
*Leonardo reveals that he used the Apple to locate Ezio in Rome, similarly to how Ezio discovers where Cesare is headed after his escape from prison.
*Ezio uses his Apprentices to destroy Leonardo's inventions, and to guard Leonardo from the Borgia. In the game, Ezio himself destroys the war machines, and he doesn't leave Leonardo with any protection.
*Cesare's face had been mutilated by the "New Disease" (which is a reference to the recent outbreak of syphilis), leading him to wear a mask. In the game, however, his face is always fully shown without any signs of such deformities.
*A more detailed account of Ezio's hunt for Cesare after he escapes from prison is given. It details Micheletto being killed, and has Ezio in Spain with Leonardo and Machiavelli trying to find Cesare.
*Machiavelli is present when Ezio hides the Apple under the Colosseo.
*Leonardo is offered to join the Assassins, though he declines.
*Between 1504 and 1506, Claudia Auditore da Firenze steps down as the Madam of the Rosa in Fiore, and Rosa replaces her.
*According to the Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood novel, Cesare excelled at bullfighting. Machiavelli believed he showed such an interest in the sport due to his aggressive nature and partly being Spanish, were the sport originated.
*After Minerva vanished after talking to Ezio, Ezio sees the Piece of Eden the Sword, being held by a statue.
*in the book, Ezio is a Christian while in the games he is nonreligious.
*At the start of the book Mario Auditore makes reference to Claudia being married and then widowed; where as in the game this doesn't happen.
*When Ezio is in the vault, he sees an owl perched on minerva's shoulder; in the game, there is no owl.
This mission involves Ezio traveling through the maze-like ruins of the Palazzo Laterno. Eventually, he comes to the palazzo's basilica, which is also the location of the Scroll Chamber. Unfortunately, the chamber is blocked by a steel gate. Ezio must then use his hidden gun to shoot down sandbags. This will cause a chandelier to come swinging down, destroying the gate in the process.
Ezio retrieves a key, and a Scroll of Romulus.
