The first usage of the Sword by someone other than one of Those Who Came Before was by Perseus, who in Greek myth was a "[[Wikipedia:Demigod|demigod]]" (the child of a god and a mortal), who used it to slay the [[wikipedia:Gorgon|Gorgon]] [[wikipedia:Medusa|Medusa]].<br />

The Sword came into possession of Attila the Hun during the 5<sup>th</sup> century, after a shepherd dug it up and took it to Attila. With the sword, he ravaged Eurasia during his reign.<br />
