The '''Staff of Eden''' was a [[Piece of Eden]], shaped like a staff. The Staff of Eden was used most notably by various pharaohs,<ref name="Assassin's Creed II">''[[Assassin's Creed II]]''</ref> popes<ref name="Assassin's Creed II" /><ref name="Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood">''[[Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood]]''</ref> and [[Russia]]n tsars.<ref name="Assassin's Creed II" /><ref name="Assassin's Creed: The Fall">''[[Assassin's Creed: The Fall]]''</ref>

==Use==
Designed to control men's minds and bodies, it has a cradle in the headpiece where an [[Piece of Eden|Apple of Eden]] can be placed, in order to enhance its mind control effects. This conjunction of two Pieces of Eden can also be used to open[[File:Zw-ACBH-2.jpg|thumb|left]] [[The Vault]] door. Its bottom end is sharpened, and can be wielded as a spear in combat. It also grants the possessor the ability to conceal his presence entirely, and the ability of levitation; though whether these are physical effects, or simply manipulations of the viewers' perceptions, remains unknown.<ref name="Assassin's Creed II" />

==Status==
After leaving the Vault in Assassins Creed: Brotherhood, Ezio tries to remove the Staff from the center of the room. Upon doing so the floor opens up and the Staff descends, though Ezio was able to retrieve the Apple from it before the floor closed up over the staff. It was somehow recovered at some point in the future, confirmed by the fact it had come into the possession of the Russian Tsars during the 1800's. It was lost (and presumed destroyed) after the [[Tunguska Explosion]], and no one person has since appeared to have taken possession of it.
