The bleeding effect is like an Animus program as well, when induced with the bleeding effect, Desmond can tamper into his DNA, the same way as the Animus, but without the need for it. All the Animus does is connect and tamper with Desmond's DNA, bending his mind to allow it to happen. After a certain time within the Animus, Desmond can do what the Animus does on his own. It is not the Animus/Bleeding Effect that carries this &quot;child-conception rule&quot;, it is the DNA itself that is structured to uphold that rule. Get it right, or don't get it at all.
