'''Petruccio Auditore da Firenze''' (1463 - 1476) was the youngest brother of [[Federico Auditore da Firenze|Federico Auditore]], [[Ezio Auditore da Firenze|Ezio Auditore]] and [[Claudia Auditore da Firenze|Claudia Auditore]]; the son of [[Maria Auditore]] and [[Giovanni Auditore da Firenze|Giovanni Auditore]] (who was an [[Assassin]]), Petruccio was destined to be trained in his father's ways upon coming of age, but never got the chance. He was [[Auditore Execution|executed]] in 1476 as an accomplice to his father's "treason."

===Pre-1476===
Petruccio Auditore was a young [[Florence|Florentine]] nobleman living during the late 15<sup>th</sup> Century. His father, Giovanni Auditore was a banker, but also in secret, an Assassin, who would surreptitiously prepare Petruccio and his brothers for their future as Assassins. However, Petruccio was constantly ill, and was bed-ridden for most of his life.

In 1476, Petruccio asked his brother, Ezio, to retrieve some [[Feather|feathers]] for him, the reason for which he kept a secret. Ezio agreed, but informed his younger brother he must return to bed afterwards. The next day, Petruccio was arrested alongside his father and brother on a false charge of treason against the ruling [[House of Medici|Medici]] family; he was executed the day after. That same night, he along with his brother Federico and father Giovanni were given a proper burial by [[Ezio Auditore]].

==Trivia==
*If Petruccio's profile at the [[Database]] is read, it states that he was taken out of school and spent most of his days in bed because of an illness he was born with. The database entry suggests that he may have died from this illness, although it is later revealed in the mission "Last Man Standing" that he was executed by the Templars.
*Ezio's only interaction with him in the game is when Petruccio asks him to collect his feathers. After that, he is only seen during "[[Last Man Standing]]," but you never talk to him again.
*Petruccio never came to know that his father was an Assassin and, had he survived, it is unlikely that he ever would have been as involved with the order as his brother due to his illness.
*Interestingly, when you look up [[Uberto Alberti|Uberto Alberti's]] database video, you find Petruccio hanging in the left-hand side wearing different clothes.
*Throughout the entire game, it was never hinted why Petruccio actually needed the feathers. But in the novel it is suggested that he was collecting them as a gift for his mother, Maria.
*Besides [[Caterina Sforza|Caterina Sforza's]] children in the [[Battle of Forlì]] [[DLC]], Petruccio is the only non-adult to feature in Assassin's Creed II (apart from the brief memory of Ezio as a baby). The main reason for this is [[Ubisoft|Ubisoft's]] policy of not including children as part of the crowd, in order to prevent foul-minded players from killing them.
