Alliance was a co-operative, Multiplayer Game Mode used to train recruits in the primary stage of Abstergo Industries' Animi Training Program. In this mode, three teams of two competed against each other in a cycle-like manner in order to gain the most points and emerge victorious. Alliance sessions lasted 10 minutes, which were split into two rounds - very similar to that of Manhunt.

Gameplay and variations
Alliance
:This game-type works on the basis of three teams; 1, 2, and 3. Each team has two players, both of whom have the same multiplayer characters. The game is separated into two rounds, much like Manhunt, and in each round the different teams will hunt different targets whilst being hunted by another team. The objective of Alliance is to assassinate your teams' targets by using teamwork and skill.

:Like many other multiplayer games, the player may choose a different 'Profile' once they have died or chosen to respawn once stunned. Depending on how players decide to use their profiles and abilities, the game may end decisively for or against them. It's a game of wits and instincts as the teams hunt and hide at the same time, mixing the strategies of Manhunt with the ever-popular Wanted.

:Alliance works in a sort of cycle-like manner with each team hunting and hiding from each other. This game mode resembles Wanted in the sense that while searching for your own targets, you must be wary of others searching for you. When playing Alliance, it would be wise for partners to split up, so they do not make easy targets. However, unlike Manhunt, your choices for escape are much more limited as you may end up compromising an easy kill.

Advanced Alliance
:Intoduced in the first Animus Project Update, Advanced Alliance played out similarly to its basic counterpart, with the exception of the reduced effectiveness of the compass (it did not hint towards the target's elevation) which added a greater emphasis on stealth gameplay.
