Daniel Cross threatened Desmond with a pistol when he found the first power source. When Desmond searched for the second source, Cross, as well as Abstergo guards shot at him. Over an intercom, Warren Vidic authorized guards to use deadly force when Desmond liberated his father from the Abstergo facility.

When rescuing his father from Vidic, Desmond took Cross' pistol and could use it in the latter half of his assault. The pistol worked similarly to Connor's Flintlocks, only that it had a much larger magazine, a higher rate of fire, and had a suppressor attached.

The''' Continental Army''' was the main military force of the newly-formed [[United States]] during the [[American Revolutionary War]].

Major General [[George Washington]] was elected the Commander-in-Chief of the army by the Continental Congress in 1775, who created the army for the purpose of engaging in combat with the [[British Army|armed forces]] of the [[England|British Empire]].

After six years of fighting, the British forces were eventually defeated in 1781, thanks to the much-needed assistance from the [[France|Kingdom of France]]. The British withdrew from the American colonies entirely after the Treaty of Paris ended the war in 1783.

Following this, the majority of the soldiers from the Continental Army went home to their families, and the few units remaining later formed the nucleus of the United States Army.

After the events of the main story, America falls under patriot control and they will be seen across the [[Frontier]], [[Boston]] and [[New York]].

The organization of the Continental Army is similar to the British Army. They include the standard soldiers armed with muskets, the brutes armed with muskets and axes, officers equipped with pistols and swords, [[Jaeger|Jagers]] armed with swords and pistols, and drummers. The Continental Army ususally operated in squads of 7-8, consisting of 1 officer, 4 standard soldiers, 2 grenadiers, and 1 drummer.

British soldiers were drilled extensively in the use of these primary weapons, until they could load and fire their muskets with their eyes closed. A well-trained infantryman could average around three shots per minute from his musket, whereas a sub-par soldier could accomplish perhaps two.

British officers usually armed themselves with flintlock pistols and [[Swords and maces|sabres]], although it was not unknown for light infantry officers to carry their own musket or rifle as the war progressed.

The only places where redcoats can be found after this point are in previous memories, Templar forts and convoys across the Frontier.</span>
