Rome is the final location in Sequence 14 of ''Assassin's Creed II''. The player will have to traverse Castel Sant Angelo's walls to reach the Templar leader [[Rodrigo Borgia]], who has become Pope Alexander VI. However, unlike the other locations, you may not revisit Rome after the final mission, and nor does it have shops or any areas available for free-roaming. Rome is also the main location of [[Assassin's Creed: Lineage|''Lineage'']]'s last part.

It could be that the level was designed to be like [[Arsuf]] in the first game (a location you will be able to visit only once with no remarkable locations).

It has been confirmed Rome will be a major location in the upcoming game called Assassins Creed: Brotherhood.
