In July 1718, Rackham flirtatiously passed Bonny her first flintlock pistol, just as [[United Kingdom|British]] forces arrived in Nassau. By early 1719, Bonny and Rackham began a relationship that infuriated her estranged husband, who attempted to have her arrested and whipped. In October of 1720, Jack Rackham and his crew, including Bonny, were attacked by a British sloop commissioned by the Governor of [[Jamaica]], with the intent to take out Rackham. Being that most of the crew were drunk, many of the pirates provided little resistance. Only Bonny, Read and an unknown man fought to their full potential.<ref name="AC4"/>

Eventually, the crew was imprisoned and sentenced to be hanged. Bonny and Read were only spared because they were pregnant at the time, since British law prevented pregnant women from being executed. As Bonny went into labor, she and Read were rescued by Edward and [[Ah Tabai]], who intended to transport them to [[Tulum]]. Following [[Adéwalé]]'s departure to join the Assassins, Bonny became Edward's quartermaster aboard the ''Jackdaw''. She stood by his side as he hunted down [[Bartholomew Roberts]], as well as the [[Templars]] [[Woodes Rogers]] and [[Laureano de Torres y Ayala]].<ref name="AC4"/>

When the ''Jackdaw'' first landed in Kingston, Edward and Bonny met with the Assassin bureau leader, [[Antó]], who reported that Rogers was hosting a party before his recall to [[London]] for falling out of favor with the king; Bonny remarked that the king must have been displeased that Rogers hadn't fully purged the Caribbean of pirates. Bonny remained at the bureau while Edward killed and impersonated a visiting [[Italy|Italian]] diplomat in order to assassinate Rogers.<ref name="AC4"/>

After discerning Roberts' location in [[Príncipe]], Edward and his crew pursued Roberts' ship, the ''[[Royal Fortune]]''. Though Bonny suggested they simply sink the [[Man O' War|galleon]], Edward refused, as Roberts possessed a valuable [[Crystal Skulls|artifact]]. Bonny and Edward then returned to [[Havana]] to find Torres. Anne stayed at the local bureau while Edward tracked down his final target, only to return to report that the man he assassinated was a decoy. Deducing that Torres was headed for the [[Observatory]], Edward decided to head there. Upon arriving, Bonny questioned why Edward would bring the Crystal Skull that Torres sought directly to him – Edward answered that he intended to taunt the [[Grand Master]] with it.<ref name="AC4"/>

Edward and Bonny then swam ashore and made their way through the jungle, freeing captive native [[guardians]] before arriving at the Observatory's entrance. Edward instructed Bonny to remain outside and guard the entrance, as well as protect the Crystal Skull, while he ventured inside to end Torres. Once the task was done, Bonny accompanied Ah Tabai and Adéwalé into the complex, where the Crystal Skull was reinserted into its rightful place. Edward was subsequently given a letter by Ah Tabai informing him that his wife [[Caroline Scott-Kenway|Caroline]] had passed away and that he had a daughter, [[Jennifer Scott]].<ref name="AC4"/>

As Edward ventured down to the docks to greet his daughter, Bonny began to sing "The Parting Glass".<ref name="AC4"/>

He was always at his masters side. He is first seen presiding over an execution in [[Havana]] and later during Edward's meeting with the Templars at the governors manor as well as protecting the Templars from the assassins while escorting the sage through the streets of Havana.

He knocks out Edward during his attempt to find the sage and the observatory for himself. Later after the deaths of Rogers and Roberts Edward's next target is Torres using the blood vial to locate him Edward runs into El Tiburon tailing him to a fort so he can lead him to Torres. Edward kills Torres only discover it was a trap the real Torres has already left Havana, El Tiburon lunges at Edward only to miss. Edward finally kills El Tiburon after shooting his helmet off before shooting him in the head as he dies Edward says he made him a better man.

==Biography==
===Early military career===
Rogers joined the [[Royal Navy]] in his twenties and rose through the ranks to a Captain. He also inherited his father's shipping company and earned a fortune. Marrying a woman, he would produce a son and two daughters.

However, he lost great amounts of money to the French , which convinced Rogers to travel to the New World to become a privateer. In 1709, he would rescue a marooned sailor which would inspire the book 'Robinson Crusoe'.

According to soldiers stationed in [[Kingston]], [[Jamaica]], it was during this period of time that his ship entered conflict with the [[Spanish Navy]] in a ferocious multi-day battle, during which Rogers was shot through the right cheek; however, he was reported to have kept on commanding his men until he was wounded by a wooden shard becoming lodged in his foot the following day. The latter wound healed, but the facial damage left a terrible scar that would never go away.

Rogers would later begin to write and publish his memoirs which had great success and earned him back his fortune. However, the death of his son and estrangement from his wife left him bitter. This was worsened when his former crew charged him for unfairly distribuiting goods during his career as a privateer.

In 1713 and 1714, Rogers had been stationed in [[Madagascar]], where he parlayed with the local pirates, giving them the same ultimatum he later employed in the West Indies: accept the King's pardon and return to England penniless, but free; or to be hung by the neck until dead. He spent eighteen months around the African island until the pirates had been dealt with, at which time he then headed for the Caribbean.<ref name="AC4">''[[Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag]]''</ref>

===Induction into the Templar Order===
In July of 1715, Rogers and the other Templars in [[Havana]] were expecting the arrival of [[Duncan Walpole]], a turncoat [[Assassins|Assassin]], who was to deliver a [[Blood vials|blood vial]] of a [[Sages|Sage]], and maps of Assassin encampments throughout the West Indies. They were unaware however, that Duncan was killed by a [[Piracy|pirate]] named [[Edward Kenway]], who took on Duncan's identity to deliver the cargo and claim the reward for himself.

Upon meeting Edward, Rogers remarked that he didn't resemble the man that Rogers' wife described, before introducing him to [[Julien du Casse]], a [[France|French]] [[Firearms|arms dealer]] and a fellow Templar. Afterwards, they met with the [[Grand Master]] and governor, [[Laureano de Torres y Ayala]], and discussed their plans to locate a [[First Civilization]] site known as the [[Observatory]]. Torres sent Edward and Rogers down to the docks to collect [[Bartholomew Roberts]], a Sage who could lead them to the Observatory.

Upon arrival, Rogers heard [[Stede Bonnet]] call Edward by his real name and questioned him about it. Edward claimed that he gave Bonnet a false name out of caution, allaying Rogers' suspicion. They continued down to the docks, and collected Roberts, before fending off an Assassin ambush. After safely getting Roberts to the governor's prison, Rogers returned to England in hopes of becoming a governor.<ref name="AC4">''[[Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag]]''</ref>

===Negotiating with pirates===
In 1718, Rogers returned to the Caribbean, having been appointed the governor of the Bahamas, to enforce British rule in [[Nassau]]. He offered pardon to the pirate leaders, [[Edward Thatch]], [[Benjamin Hornigold]] and [[Charles Vane]], as well as ordering a blockade of Nassau by the Royal Navy. However, Edward Kenway and Charles Vane escaped Nassau after killing Rogers's military associate, Commodore [[Peter Chamberlaine]], who had intended to disregard Rogers' orders and sink every pirate vessel at Nassau.

In 1719, Rogers and Hornigold - the only one of the three pirate leaders to accept the pardon - went to Kingston in search of Roberts, who had escaped custody during Rogers' absence. A member of the Royal African Navy told them that Roberts' ship, the ''[[Princess]]'', was due to arrive soon. The two then met up with Torres and informed him of these developments. Hornigold had already sent [[Josiah Burgess]] and [[John Cockram]] to [[Príncipe]] in search of Roberts. He then spotted the ''[[Jackdaw]]'' and realized that Edward was following them. The Templars then left the area as their guards pursued Edward.

Rogers accompanied Torres to Jamaica to interrogate Edward Kenway after his betrayal by Bartholomew Roberts and capture by British forces. As the men observed the sentencing of [[Mary Read]] and [[Anne Bonny]], Rogers and Torres made what Edward perceived as veiled threats towards his [[Caroline Scott-Kenway|estranged wife]].

They offered Kenway a reprieve from imprisonment and likely execution in exchange for leading them to the Observatory, with Torres warning Kenway that Rogers could only block the British from executing him for a certain time. However, Edward was freed by the Assassins before the Templars could acquire the information they wanted from him.

In 1721, Edward traveled back to Kingston with the intention of confronting and killing Rogers. Impersonating an [[Italy|Italian]] diplomat, [[Ruggiero Ferraro]], Edward slipped into a party being held to celebrate the end of Rogers' tenure as Governor of the Bahamas and his recall to [[London]], a decision with which the man was deeply displeased about.

Positioning himself, Edward struck as Rogers passed him. Interrogating the injured Rogers, Edward confronted him about the Templars' plans for the Observatory and demanded information regarding Bartholomew Roberts' location, to stop the pirate misusing that power. Some time after the deaths of Roberts and Torres and the securing of the Observatory by the Assassins, [[Adéwalé]] passed on information that Rogers had survived Edward's attempt on his life and returned to England, bankrupt and humiliated, but still dangerous. Eventually, he was released from prison and earned a better reputation for his career in helping abolish piracy in the West Indies. In 1728, Rogers returned to Nassau and died during his second term as Governor of the Bahamas in 1731.<ref name="AC4"/>
