They incited yet another revolution, managing to organize the secession of several eastern Federal provinces of the Russian SFSR, plunging Russia into a civil war. All hope for a restoration of the monarchy was destroyed when the Bolsheviks, on Lenin's orders, executed the former Tsar and his family.
