thumb|300px|right|The Truth video

Adam and Eve were the two humans shown in Subject 16's The Truth video. They were humans who rebelled against Those Who Came Before. In the truth video, they are seen running from someone or something. They use free-running to climb a large, futuristic looking building. While Adam and Eve are climbing the building, Eve can be seen holding a stolen Piece of Eden which helps her look through the darkened glass at the human slaves within the building. When they are on top of the building, Eve says: "Adam, I have it!". Adam then says "Eve" and Eve yells: "Look out!". This could be because they see someone or something behind them, or the Apple gave them power enough to realize they were being watched by Subject 16, as it did with Minerva in the Vault. This explains why they did not react until after they had The Apple.

Both Adam and Eve seem to have white markings covering their bodies which occasionally glow blue. These lines do not follow blood vessels, indeed, the markings on the back are straight and angular. Their designs look slightly like circuit boards, and their perfectly angular, symmetrical design makes a natural origin less likely. The designs of these lines also are similar to those of the character Minerva, who Ezio encounters in The Vault, which hints that Adam and Eve could be part of the second generation humans that are a result of the first generation humans that procreated with Those Who Came Before e.g. Minerva, which would explain how Adam and Eve appear to be immune to the controlling power of the Apple. Them being children of Those Who Came Before would also explain the statement "The seeds were planted as two worlds became one, behold, the Assassins, the children of two worlds!" found in a puzzle of the truth. Furthermore, Eve appears to have something attached to her left arm, and attached around her neck, possibly a collar or necklace.

The Binary Code at end of The Truth video translates as:<br />01000101=E<br />01000100=D<br />01000101=E<br />01001110=N<br />

The couple appear to have disobeyed their masters by stealing a Piece of Eden - specifically, one of the Apples which presumably has given them immunity to hypnotism. The theft of the artifact could have been the first act of defiance which caused the conflict as described by Minerva. The 'innocence' of mankind was lost when they realized that the superiority of Those Who Have Gone Before was due to their technological advances. This prompted a war between the two species. Another possibility is that they were given the artifact by one Those Who Have Gone Before, possibly one who is analogous to the religious entity of Satan.
Subject 16's record also shows that the artifacts (the Staff, the Apple, the Pieces of Eden) were tools that the First Civilization used to wield power over humans. Whether the artifacts were made to control humans, or if humans were made to obey the artifacts, is another matter. Even so, some are immune to their effects.

Biblical
Genesis tells the story of Adam and Eve in chapters 1, 2 and 3, with some additional elements in chapters 4 and 5:

Genesis 2 opens with God fashioning a man from the dust and blowing life into his nostrils. God plants a garden (the Garden of Eden) and sets the man there, "to work it and watch over it," permitting him to eat of all the trees in the garden except the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, "for on the day you eat of it you shall surely die." God had already created the animals, and when Adam tried to find a help-mate, none of the animals are satisfactory, and so God causes the man to sleep, and creates a woman from his rib. The man names her "Woman" (Heb. ishshah), "for this one was taken from a man" (Heb. ish). "On account of this a man leaves his father and his mother and clings to his woman." Genesis 2 ends with the note that the man and woman were naked, and were not ashamed.

Genesis 3 introduces the Serpent, "slier than every beast of the field." The serpent tempts the woman to eat from the tree of knowledge, telling her that it will not lead to death; she succumbs, and gives the fruit to the man, who eats also, "and the eyes of the two of them were opened." Aware now of their nakedness, they make coverings of fig leaves, and hide from the sight of God. God asks them about what they have done. Adam blames Eve, and Eve blames the serpent. God curses the snake (who before this must have been able to walk before this because) vs 14 says "upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life." God then curses Adam and Eve with hard labor and with pain in childbirth, and banishes them from his garden, setting a cherub at the gate to bar their way to the Tree of Life, "lest he put out his hand ... and eat, and live forever."

Genesis 4 and 5 give the story of Adam and Eve's family after they leave the garden: three children are named, Cain, Abel and Seth, as well as other sons and daughters. Adam lived for 930 years. ("The woman" is given the name Eve in the closing verses of Genesis 3, "because she was the mother of all living"; Adam gets his name when the initial definite article is dropped, changing "ha-adam", "the man", to "Adam".)
Francesco de' Pazzi (1444-1478) is the father of Vieri de' Pazzi and one of the Pazzi conspirators. He is the third assassination target of Ezio. He is also secretly a Templar. Apart from that, he was also one of Florence's wealthiest nobles. He hated the Medici family and the rising middle class with a passion.

Assassin's Creed II
He is first seen discussing with Rodrigo Borgia, along with his son and his uncle, Jacopo de' Pazzi, in San Gimignano about the murder of the Medici brothers. He is later seen in a chamber underneath the Santa Maria Novella church in Florence, discussing with his uncle and the Pazzi Conspirators about the assassination of Lorenzo de' Medici and Giuliano. He is seen as being very confident that their mission will be a success, but Jacopo warns him that confidence led to the death of his son, who was killed by Ezio. During the High Mass at the Duomo, he violently stabs Lorenzo's brother, Giuliano, 19 times in the chest, leading to his death. He then tries to kill Lorenzo, but Ezio fights him off, which forces him to flee. He and Jacopo's soldiers attack Florence. He is later seen trying to invade the Palazzo della Signoria to "persuade" the officials to make the Pazzi the leaders of Florence when Ezio appears again. Ezio manages to fight off Francesco's guards, forcing Francesco to flee. Ezio kills him, however, and his naked body is hung over the Palazzo della Signoria by angry Florentines while Jacopo agitates the citizens, causing Jacopo to flee Florence.

Final Words
Deleted rather odd== Trivia ==
*It is peculiar that Vieri is Francesco's son, as the latter had to have been 10 when Vieri was born. The likely possibility is that Vieri is adopted, though no proven facts have been stated yet.
*It might be that Francesco de' Pazzi had a daughter as well. Hinted in the game's start, "Boys will be boys" Ezio comments "Your sister seemed quite satisfied with the handling I gave her earlier" to Vieri de' Pazzi just before their fight.
*In real life, Francesco de Pazzi was dragged from the Palazzo Pazzi and then hanged from the tower of the Palazzo della Signoria on April 26, 1478. His body was then cut down and desecrated.
*In real life, Francesco de Pazzi was reputed to have stabbed himself in the thigh accidentally, while killing Guliano de Medici in a frenzy.
*Francesco de Pazzi's body was hung naked from the Palazzo della Signoria. His stomach was cut open and his intestines fell out. This was replicated by Hannibal Lector in the movie "Hannibal", when he killed a Florentine police detective, who was a direct descendant of the Pazzi family, in the same way his ancestor died.
Doctor Warren Vidic is a scientist (the exact position is not clear) of Abstergo Industries. He is the head of research for genetic memory and the Animus project. He also plays the role of the main antagonist in the series (Modern Times).

Assassin's Creed
He is shown to be somewhat of a ruthless, intelligent but clumsy man. This could be observed throughout the game with Desmond pickpocketing him (if the player choses to), being demonstrated through numerous emails in which he is constantly asking for passwords that he has forgotten, or he is thanking Lucy for returning his keypen to him.

He did not admonish Desmond even after his cryptic reply to Desmond's questions: "I think you know enough already." Desmond demands an explanation and Vidic offers "You know what I mean." This leads to the insinuation that he knows Desmond is viewing his emails, but does not retaliate harshly because he believes Desmond has the right to know what is going on, at least to some extent. It may also just be him presuming Desmond knows more than he actually does. Initially, he attempts to push Desmond beyond his limits by keeping him in the Animus, only to be accosted by Lucy. Relenting slightly after Lucy's initial concerns, he is further pacified after Desmond agrees to not resist their work. He remains pushy throughout the game, chastising Desmond for wasting time at the Animus memory selection screen for delays or by walking around the room in the middle of a memory segment.

Emails accessible after the completion of a memory segment further show him to be impatient, perhaps to the point of being sloppy. His emails are written without capitalization, and he doesn't bother signing his emails. He wonders aloud to Lucy why she bothers signing hers, since it indicates the sender quite clearly in the header. On at least one occasion he loses his access badge, which Lucy finds and returns for him. He is dismissive of her calls for him to be more careful with it, replying that she should be more focused on the Animus and their work with Desmond.

Despite his deamenour, Vidic does appear to have good intentions, and seems to genuinely believe in creating a better world and is not merely out for his own advantage. Most of his hostility can be seen as obsessin with his work and He is said to have even saved Lucy's life at one point. However he believes the ends always justify the means and will not stop to bring about the Templar's world.

Dr. Vidic, however, can be seen with a red aura once Desmond attains Eagle Vision at the end of the game. Despite his possibly honorable intentions, the red aura is similar to that of the ones that soldiers have when one uses Eagle Vision as Altaïr within the Animus. If you attain the access code to the locked room in the lab that is adjacent to the Animus, you can discover that Alan Rikkin has sent Vidic emails regarding past experiments and ventures that Abstergo was apart of. In the email, Vidic is praised for his continued search of the Piece of Eden and it is alluded to that Vidic's work is extraordinarily important and that it will ultimately be instrumental in facilitating Abstergo's ability to control the planet.

Assassin's Creed II
Spoiler
Vidic is not seen until the end of the story, furious about Desmond and Lucy escaping Abstergo, reminding Lucy that he saved her life once, he then brings out some Abstergo guards, quickly dispatched by the recently skill-honed Desmond and Lucy. Vidic is forced to leave the hideout, swearing that this is not the last they've seen of him, as he rides out in a truck. During the credits, Lucy however does tell that one day, she and Desmond will end the schemes of Vidic soon.
Spoiler End

Trivia
*His car is missing from his reserved parking spot at the beggining of the second game. It can be seen at the right side of Abstergo's underground parking lot.
The Knights Templar originally sought lasting peace the Christian way. However, with their discovery of the Pieces of Eden, they changed. As powerful religious and political figures spread their lies, they began to think that there is no God or Great Power out there, only men with power and those without. They became Atheists, while maintaining the pretense and tradition of Roman Catholics and retaining friends in the Vatican to avoid suspicion and for personal habit. With no afterlife or ultimate punishment or reward after death, there was no real reason to oblige by such morality. It also made them perceive that only this life was important, rather than preparing for a non-existent next life. With this new view, the corruption of the world shone to them like an ugly light. With so many lower class people kept in line with the promise of a next life and so many upper class men blissfully ignoring such ideals, the Templars vowed to make a better world, one of lasting peace, no matter the cost. This lasting peace, as they thought, would be brought about by the Pieces of Eden, where they intend to use it to make everyone usher in a world of forced (with a heavy heart) but lasting peace.

As time progressed, however, the Templars more or less sought and used the Pieces of Eden, not for the honourable intention of peace, but for the power and knowledge it brings, knowing that only this life was important. Their goals changed as they sought to control and unify the entire world under their grasp using the Pieces of Eden in a way similar to a "New World Order".

History
Third Crusade
Their main goal during the Crusades was to bring peace to the Holy Land by usurping the rule of Saladin and undermining the efforts of Richard the Lionheart while both were more concerned with fighting each other, but the ways they do it are both ruthless and barbaric. They try to control peoples' free will and will ruthlessly kill anyone who is against them, especially the Assassins. They are good at manipulation, as they have members in both the Crusader and Saracen armies, allowing themselves to manipulate both Richard the Lionheart and Saladin for their own gain and even manipulated the other knight orders like the Knights Hospitalier, Knights Teutonic and even the Assassins, whose leader, Al Mualim, was a member of the Templars, but later chose to betray them by stealing the Piece of Eden for his own purposes.

Later on, the Templars use the assassinations of Altaïr of those who are secretly Templars on both sides of the Holy War to bring both the Saracen and the Crusaders to fight against the common enemy, the Assassins. This failed, however, with the death of Robert de Sable at the hands of Altaïr. Altaïr then went back to Masyaf to kill the last Templar, his grandmaster, Al Mualim. However, even with the death of all the Templar leaders, they still persist.

They tend to attack more skilfully and take more hits than normal guards. Templars should be dealt with while expressing extreme caution and solid battle skills. These soldiers are usually stationary, and on the lookout for the Assassins, their sworn enemies, who they are engaged with in a low-scale war.

Rennaissance
The Templars of the Renaissance seek to control several key regions in Italy to form them under one group, under the dominance of the Templars. With this, the Templars will not only gain fortune, power and influence, but will also advance the common ideals of Templars throughout the world.

In the beginning, the Auditore family were living in relative peace, without the knowledge that Giovanni Audiotre has become involved in a conspiracy that involves the Templars' actions. Soon after, the Auditore were victim to the conspiracy with the help of the traitor Uberto Alberti. This begins Ezio's quest to hunt down the people affiliated with this event, not knowing that those people he is about to assassinate are Templars and that he will become the bane of the Renaissance Templars' goals.

In the Glyph sequences made by Subject 16, he states that the Templar Seal is the Mark of Cain. This indicates that the principle ideas of the Templars seems to have existed for much longer.

Members
Originally crusaders of unprecedented skill, as time progressed, they began to act secretly, utilizing powerful and influential people to further their cause. Often, these people are lured to being Templars by the promise of power and glory.
Ordre du Temple in French, the Knights Templar are amongst the most famous of the Western Christian military orders involved in the war. They are well known by the distinctive white mantles with a red cross. Officially endorsed by the Roman Catholic Church around 1129, the Order became a favored charity throughout Christianity, and grew rapidly in membership. Because the Templars' existence was tied closely to the Crusades; when the Holy Land was lost, support for the Order faded.

They were among the most skilled fighters at the time, which is reflected in the game. Their ruthlessness against non-Catholics was also infamous; this also is reflected in the game.
The Knights Templar is a military religious order created during the First Crusade and are the sworn enemies of the Assassins. They officially seek to create a perfect world, but most of their members are power hungry and wish to do it by any means necessary, including destruction of free will, which the Assassins strive to protect. The order survives through the Third Crusade and exists through the Renaissance even until the Modern Times.
May the Father of Understanding guide us

The Knights Templar is a military religious order created during the First Crusade and are the sworn enemies of the Assassins. They officiallyseek to create a perfect world, but most of their members are power hungry and wish to do it by any means necessary, including destruction of free will, which the Assassins strive to protect. The order survives through the Third Crusade and exists through the Renaissance even until the Modern Times.

Ideals and Goals
This lasting peace, as they thought, would be brought about by the Pieces of Eden, where they intend to use it to make everyone usher in a world of forced but lasting peace.

As time progressed, however, the Templars more or less sought and used the Pieces of Eden, not for peace, but for the power and knowledge it brings, knowing that only this life was important.
