ACB
In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, several outfits are available to those who complete certain challenges. Once an outfit is unlocked and equipped, it will alter Ezio Auditore's appearance. However, unlike armor, most of these costumes do not affect any other gameplay elements.

Outfits can be unlocked through a variety of methods, which are enumerated below.

Capes
Plain Cape
The Plain Cape is available at the beginning of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and has no effect on notoriety, and is the only cape that can be dyed.

Auditore Cape
The Auditore Cape is unlocked by completely rebuilding the city of Rome.

Originally handcrafted by Maria Auditore da Firenze in her mourning of a lost child, this cape allows Ezio to show his pride for the Auditore family. It was lost during the Siege of Monteriggioni and given to Rodrigo Borgia's youngest son, Jofré Borgia as a war gift.

Ezio reacquires the cape after rebuilding Rome to 100% when Jofré's chamberlain sent it to the Assassins as a gift for rebuilding the city. It also makes Ezio's notoriety stay at zero while the cape is worn and resets to its original level when removed.

Borgia Cape
The House of Borgia Cape is unlocked by removing all 101 Borgia flags from Rome.

Functionally identical to the Auditore cape, notoriety stays at zero while the cape is worn and resets to its original level once removed.

Medici Cape
The House of Medici Cape is unlocked to wear after players sync their game to Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy, once they complete the Auditore Mnemonic set. This cape does not affect notoriety and cannot be dyed.

It can also be found as an artifact at modern Monteriggioni with Desmond, however, it can't be used.

Venetian Cape
Along with the Medici Cape, the Venetian Cape is also unlocked to wear after players sync their game to Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy, once they complete the Auditore Mnemonic set. This cape does not affect notoriety and cannot be dyed.

General Appearance
Armor of Altaïr
Armor of Altaïr
The Armor of Altaïr can be unlocked by purchasing it on Uplay for 20 Uplay Units.

Being the Grand Master robes of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, the Armor of Altaïr was worn by Ezio after completing all of the Assassin's Tombs in Assassin's Creed II. In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, it is worn in the last repressed Cristina memory and in the beginning of the game until it is lost in the Siege of Monteriggioni. It does not change the defense stats of Ezio's equipped armor, as it is only a cosmetic item.

Altaïr's Robes
Altaïr's Robes can be unlocked by purchasing it on Uplay for 20 Uplay Units.

Equipping Altaïr's Robes accesses Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's skin from the Animus database, though it will not affect Ezio's current equipment, armor settings or the abilities of the cape he was wearing previously. Rather than loading his clothing, the outfit actually loads the model of Altaïr, and it is made visible though the color of his eyes (which are lighter than Ezio's) and the fact that he is silent during taunts, rather than using Ezio's voice. Altaïr's missing ring finger can also be seen on the character model when this outfit is equipped.

Florentine Noble Attire
Unlocked by purchasing on Uplay for 20 Uplay Units.

The Florentine Noble attire was worn by Ezio Auditore in Florence during the beginning of Assassin's Creed II, before acquiring his father's Assassin's Robes. In Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, it is worn during the first repressed Cristina memory. The outfit is made accessible before the Apple of Eden memories when leaving the Animus.

Desmond Miles
The Desmond Miles outfit is unlocked by attaining 100% Synchronization in Sequence 8

Purely cosmetic, this skin allows the player to look like Desmond Miles inside the Animus 2.0. The style of walking and free-running is also that of Desmond

Raiden Skin
Raiden Skin
The Raiden skin is unlocked by completing every Virtual Training challenge with at least a bronze medal.

This outfit pays homage to the VR-trained cybernetic ninja called Raiden, from Metal Gear Solid. The skin of Raiden in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is the Cyborg Ninja form of Raiden as seen in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, although Ezio's facial features and hair will still be seen, in place of Raiden's.

Helmschmied Drachen Armor
Helmschmied Drachen Armor

The Helmshmied Drachen Armor is included only with the Codex Edition, the Da Vinci Edition, Platinum and Classics Editions, and Amazon pre-order editions of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, though it can also be obtained by purchasing the Da Vinci Disappearance DLC.
Trivia
*When you unlock a General Appearance outfit, they become available during your next play through.
*The effect of the Auditore Cape in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is the reverse of its effect in Assassin's Creed II.
*Unlike in the game itself, the image of Altaïr's Robes in your inventory depicts Ezio wearing the robes, rather than Altaïr, as seen by his beard. The outfit also does not bear the beak-shaped hood, and shows Ezio wielding Altaïr's short blade, which is missing from its sheath in the game and is unusable.
*The image of Raiden's Outfit depicts Ezio unsheathing Raiden's katana, the High Frequency Blade, although it is not usable or present in the game.
*The Borgia Captain armor itself, though being worn by Ezio, appears red in Eagle Vision.
*If you dye your cape and Ezio is equipped with the Auditore, Borgia, Medici or Venetian Cape, they are automatically removed.
*Diving while wearing the Florentine Attire will cause Ezio to have Desmond's head until he reaches the water surface again.
*The Armor of Brutus uses other capes' effects, but no change is seen.
*Also, attempting to dye the Armor of Brutus, Armor of Altaïr, or Helmschmied Drachen Armor's cape has no effect. If you want to see any other cape or color, you must change your armor at Ezio's Hideout.
*On the back of Altaïr's robes is the sheath for the first short blade Altaïr contains. It is covered by the crossbow if it has been bought.
*There is a glitch at the beginning of Sequence 2, if you are wearing the Desmond Skin during the first cutscene, you are Ezio up until you put on your hidden blade.
*When the Desmond skin is equipped, the player's sword and dagger would appear to float inches from his waist, as Desmond does not have a sheath.
*When the Desmond skin is equipped, even though Desmond has one hidden blade the players Hidden Blades combat will not change.
Trivia
*Altaïr's Robes changes Ezio's model to Altaïr's, the same seen in Desmond's hallucination sequence. The differences of the models are that the left ring finger is amputated, the right hidden blade does not have physical form on the character (despite being usable), and the beard that Ezio gains during the Battle of Forlì sequence is not present, during or after these sequences. Additionally, though Ezio's voice remains the same, he does not speak during taunts, instead only gesturing towards the opponent, similarly to Desmond's taunting motions in the credits scene.
*There are several glitches while wearing the robes of Altaïr. If Ezio has no more throwing knives, the holders are still full of them. The scabbard for the knife on his back is also empty, and the animation for putting the knife away shows it being placed on the hip, by the sword, but it disappears once put away. The player can still use the dual hidden blades, but there is no blade visible on Altaïr's right hand. Unlike in the first Assassin's Creed game, there is no scabbard for Altaïr's sword; it simply hangs at his hip with the blade exposed. If wearing the robes of Altaïr when acquiring the hidden blade, instead of wearing Altaïr's robes, you will wear Ezio's, but after Leonardo gives him the blade, the robes will change into Altaïr's. Also, when Ezio receives his Assassin's mark, a glitch may occur, because Altaïr had his ring finger removed.
*In Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (another Ubisoft game), you can buy Ezio's costume for 30 UPlay points and put it on the Prince himself.
*The Medici Cape can be found in Monteriggioni's church by Desmond in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
*The player is awarded the Auditore cape for fully renovating Rome in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Unlike in Assassin's Creed II, the cape allows Ezio to remain incognito, which functions the same as the Borgia Cape.
*The Auditore cape is also worn by Mario Auditore throughout Assassin's Creed II.
*The cape worn during the Carnevale bears the Assassin insignia.
