Ezio meets Machiavelli for the first time. The Assassins acquire the Apple of Eden and Ezio officially becomes a member of the Assassin Order. They also plan the protection of the apple and decide it will remain safe and out of Rodrigo's reach at Forlì.

==Trivia==
*The burn mark on Ezio's finger is present for the rest of the game. However, strangely, it is missing in [[Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood]], despite Mario's claim that it is permanent.
*The [[Initiation to the Assassin Order|initiation ritual]] seen in this memory is the same one seen in Assassins Creed: Brotherhood when an [[Apprentices|apprentice]] becomes an Assassin.
*If player checks the map during Leonardo and Assassins studying the Apple of Eden, the map shows that the scene takes place in Romagna.

==Description==
Shortly after the execution of [[Giovanni Auditore da Firenze|Giovanni]], [[Federico Auditore da Firenze|Federico]], and [[Petruccio Auditore da Firenze]], [[Ezio Auditore da Firenze|Ezio Auditore]] and [[Cristina Vespucci]] meet in the streets of [[Florence]].

Here, Ezio tells Cristina that he wishes to provide a proper last rites for his dead father and brothers. Upon arriving at the gallows though, they are found to be empty. Ezio then secures the location of the bodies from a nearby [[guard]], and he and Cristina proceed to the river.

Finding the bodies under guard, Ezio sneaks around the soldiers and carries the bodies of his kin to a small boat on the Arno River, after promising Cristina that he would not kill any of the guards. His duty to his family finished, Ezio rejoins Cristina, where he tells her that he wishes to leave the city. Cristina says she wishes she could accompany, but that she cannot, due to her family. Ezio gives her a pendant, saying ''"we'll always be together"'' before kissing her and departing.

*This is the only memory in ''Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood'' that allows Ezio to freely roam Florence. Several database entries can be collected if he does this.
