In battle, soldiers with bows were used to pick off enemies from a distance, and were effective in defending their walls during siege warfare. *(Unconfirmed) (possible glitch/bug as of AC3 Thanksgiving patch) In Assassin's Creed III, it is possible to hit multiple enemies using a bow with a single arrow, provided they lie in the trajectory of the arrow.
**It also creates a duplicate on each enemy it "passes through" in the trajectory, i.e. looting 4 guards hit in a line with one arrow yields 4 arrows, making it possible to refill your quiver with only one arrow.
**The arrow "passes through" even if the enemy does not die.
**(Unconfirmed) Works only if you "charge" the bow attack.
