The '''Harlequin''' (real name: '''Cahin '''<ref> [[Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy]] </ref> ) is an exclusive multiplayer character featured in ''[[Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood]]'', available via pre-order on Gamestop.com, Play.com and Ubisoft.com. He is also available in the HMV Exclusive Edition and the Limited Codex Edition of ''Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood''. A jack-in-the box of the Harlequin is also available to those who pre-order the Collector's edition of ''[[Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood]]'' from GameStop.

On November 16th 2010, gaming website Kongregate held a contest for a copy of ''Brotherhood'', which, to enter, you simply had to complete level 3 of Ultimate Assassin 2. One lucky winner would win the game with the exclusive Harlequin character and an Xbox 360 to play it on, and several other contestants would recieve a copy of the game with the exclusive character.

He uses two [[Multiplayer Weapons#Dagger|stiletto daggers]] as his primary weapons. Another playable multiplayer character, known as the [[Hellequin]], is confirmed to be his sister, as stated by their multiplayer character descriptions.

In ''[[Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy]]'', Cahin and his sister Caha are first encountered by [[Fiora Cavazza]] as they perform together. The performance turns out to be a trap, however, with Cahin, Caha, and Fiora killing all the guests present. Fiora notes to herself that the siblings seem to be mad, yet fun. Later on, when Fiora changes sides and joins the [[Assassins]] in weakening [[Cesare Borgia]]'s defenses, she aids in assassinating Cahin and Caha. The attack was successful, with the siblings dying together during the assault.

===The Killing Joke===
The Harlequin neatly stabs the target under the chest, flips over their back, then stabs the victim in the neck and to the right of the chest cavity, leaving them incapacitated and internally bleeding to death. (Low Profile Kill)

===Sacrifical Strike===
From behind, the Harlequin stabs the target's waist, making them fall. Right when they fall, he stabs their neck with the other dagger, then again with the other dagger, causing them to go limp. The body then falls to the ground as he withdraws the daggers. (Low Profile Kill)

===Killing Wheel===
The Harlequin does a cartwheel, kicking his victim in the head and knocking them to the floor. He then quickly stabs his victim in the chest, and allows them to fall to the floor as he withdraws his weapons (as seen at 0:19 in the video below). (High Profile Kill)

===More is Merrier===
The Harlequin pushes his target down and stabs their torso maniacally several times. This can be performed running at or jumping on a target (as shown in the video below at 0:55). (High Profile Kill)

'''Rifts''' appear to be breaks in the programming of memories within the [[Animus]], which can be seen using [[Eagle Vision]]. Each of the ten are found on key landmarks throughout [[Rome]], and conceal [[Subject 16]]'s Cluster puzzles in ''[[Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood]]''. They are the equivalent of [[Glyphs]] from ''[[Assassin's Creed II]]'', but instead of revealing a second [[The Truth|Truth]] video, they simply relay the message "The miracle is in the execution" along with an executable file. Accessing the file allows Desmond to go through a virtual obstacle course similar to an [[Animus Virtual Training Program]] mission, and ultimately receive a message from Subject 16.

Note that unlike the glyphs from ''Assassin's Creed II'', the rifts are not activated simply by standing in front of them with Eagle Vision active. [[Ezio]] must actually grab the edge of the rift while Eagle Vision is active, then climb in. They cannot be accessed or hung from without Eagle Vision active. They also cannot be seen in plain sight without Eagle Vision active, unlike the Glyphs' drawings which are noticeable even without Eagle Vision.

Various hidden messages such as coded numbers and letters, music notes and morse code appear in the rifts.

At the very top, northern side of the Colosseo, just west of the [[View Point]]. It is on the outside wall, and to access it, Ezio must hang from the topmost ledge of the Colosseum, directly above the rift, fall and catch himself in the rift while Eagle Vision is active. If you have trouble finding it, use the Colosseo's buy sign landmark as a point of reference as the rift is almost exactly above that.

Immediately After solving the final cluster and witnessing a short video that reads "The miracle is in the execution," suggesting that (unlike [[The Truth|the video]] hidden in the previous game) the Cluster puzzles instead concealed an executable file. Upon accessing it, Desmond will then be uploaded to an unknown area within the Animus, where he is free to run through a somewhat long virtual maze similar to those within the [[Animus Virtual Training Program]]. At the end of the maze, Desmond finds a hologram (partially broken and made of computing code) of Subject 16, who tells Desmond that all hope is lost, and to go to Eden to find a woman named Eve. Before leaving, he tells Desmond to "find me in the darkness." The program ends with the ground collapsing from under Desmond's feet, a loading screen begins showing Desmond in free fall.
===After the Final Truth, Widespread Glitch===
After the load screen you are able to hear the distressed voices of Lucy and Rebecca who apparently did not witness the events within the maze and were "worried that [they] were losing" Desmond. The Game proceeds with a cut scene before Desmond is free to explore the "real" world as he would when he normally leaves the Animus.

However, the nature of this cut scene is confounded by a widespread glitch that essentially traps Desmond within the geometry of the Animus' chair. The cut-scene proceeds with Lucy returning to her desk talking to Desmond's disembodied voice and reacting to him as if he were standing next to her, when he is actually stuck vibrating oddly in the chair. After the cut-scene Desmond is playable, but he is still stuck within the chair severely limiting his movement and making it impossible for him to discuss the strange events that just occurred with Lucy, Shaun or Rebecca. They do not discuss the events of the Final Truth with you in any other instance in the game.

This problem has lead to a lot of uproar in forums about the game especially considering the strange and confusing nature of the events preceding it. Players who were hoping for a bit of insight by triggering conversations with Lucy, Shaun and Rebecca are instead met with frustration as they discover the glitch that destroys the opportunity.

It is not known if this is a universal problem, but it is certainly a widespread one found in both X-Box and PS3 versions of the game (PC too?). Forums and Discussions online talk about ''rumored'' players who were able to escape the glitch and continue, but no talk of or from people who were unaffected by it. Ubisoft has not commented on this problem and there is nothing at their support site http://support.ubi.com about the issue to-date (01/03/2010).

Immediately After solving the final cluster and witnessing a short video that reads "The miracle is in the execution," suggesting that (unlike [[The Truth|the video]] hidden in the previous game) the Cluster puzzles instead concealed an executable file. Upon accessing it, Desmond will then be uploaded to an unknown area within the Animus, where he is free to run through a somewhat long virtual maze similar to those within the [[Animus Virtual Training Program]]. At the end of the maze, Desmond finds a hologram (partially broken and made of computing code) of Subject 16, who tells Desmond that all hope is lost, and to go to Eden to find a woman named Eve. Before leaving, he tells Desmond to "find me in the darkness." The program ends with the ground collapsing from under Desmond's feet, a loading screen begins showing Desmond in free fall.
===After the Final Truth, Widespread Glitch===
After the load screen you are able to hear the distressed voices of Lucy and Rebecca who apparently did not witness the events within the maze and were "worried that [they] were losing" Desmond. The Game proceeds with a cut scene before Desmond is free to explore the "real" world as he would when he normally leaves the Animus.

However, the nature of this cut scene is confounded by a widespread glitch that essentially traps Desmond within the geometry of the Animus' chair. The cut-scene proceeds with Lucy returning to her desk talking to Desmond's disembodied voice and reacting to him as if he were standing next to her, when he is actually stuck vibrating oddly in the chair. After the cut-scene Desmond is playable, but he is still stuck within the chair severely limiting his movement and making it impossible for him to discuss the strange events that just occurred with Lucy, Shaun or Rebecca. They do not discuss the events of the Final Truth with you in any other instance in the game.

This problem has lead to a lot of uproar in forums about the game especially considering the strange and confusing nature of the events preceding it. Players who were hoping for a bit of insight by triggering conversations with Lucy, Shaun and Rebecca are instead met with frustration as they discover the glitch that destroys the opportunity.

It is not known if this is a universal problem, but it is certainly a widespread one. Forums and Discussions online talk about ''rumored'' players who were able to escape the glitch and continue, but no talk of or from people who were unaffected by it. Ubisoft has not commented on this problem and there is nothing at their support site http://support.ubi.com about the issue to-date (01/03/2010).

Immediately After solving the final cluster and witnessing a short video that reads "The miracle is in the execution," suggesting that (unlike [[The Truth|the video]] hidden in the previous game) the Cluster puzzles instead concealed an executable file. Upon accessing it, Desmond will then be uploaded to an unknown area within the Animus, where he is free to run through a somewhat long virtual maze similar to those within the [[Animus Virtual Training Program]]. At the end of the maze, Desmond finds a hologram (partially broken and made of computing code) of Subject 16, who tells Desmond that all hope is lost, and to go to Eden to find a woman named Eve. Before leaving, he tells Desmond to "find me in the darkness." The program ends with the ground collapsing from under Desmond's feet, a loading screen begins showing Desmond in free fall.
===After the Final Truth, Widespread Glitch===
After the load screen you are able to hear the distressed voices of Lucy and Rebecca who apparently did not witness the events within the maze and were "worried that [they] were losing" Desmond. The Game proceeds with a cut scene before Desmond is free to explore the "real" world as he would when he normally leaves the Animus.

However, the nature of this cut scene is confounded by a widespread glitch that essentially traps Desmond within the geometry of the Animus' chair. The cut-scene proceeds with Lucy talking to Desmond's disembodied voice and reacting to him as if he were standing next to her, when he is actually stuck vibrating strangely in the chair. After the cut-scene Desmond is playable, but he is still stuck within the chair severely limiting his movement and making it impossible for him to discuss the strange events that just occurred with Lucy, Shaun or Rebecca. They do not discuss the events of the Final Truth with you in any other instance in the game.

This problem has lead to a lot of uproar in forums about the game especially considering the strange and confusing nature of the events preceding it. Players who were hoping for a bit of insight by triggering conversations with Lucy, Shaun and Rebecca are instead met with frustration as they discover the glitch that destroys the opportunity.

It is not known if this is a universal problem, but it is certainly a widespread one. Forums and Discussions online talk about ''rumored'' players who were able to escape the glitch and continue, but no talk of or from people who were unaffected by it. Ubisoft has not commented on this problem and there is nothing at their support site http://support.ubi.com about the issue.

Immediately After solving the final cluster and witnessing a short video that reads "The miracle is in the execution," suggesting that (unlike [[The Truth|the video]] hidden in the previous game) the Cluster puzzles instead concealed an executable file. Upon accessing it, Desmond will then be uploaded to an unknown area within the Animus, where he is free to run through a somewhat long virtual maze similar to those within the [[Animus Virtual Training Program]]. At the end of the maze, Desmond finds a hologram (partially broken and made of computing code) of Subject 16, who tells Desmond that all hope is lost, and to go to Eden to find a woman named Eve. Before leaving, he tells Desmond to "find me in the darkness." The program ends with the ground collapsing from under Desmond's feet, a loading screen begins showing Desmond in free fall.
===After the Final Truth, Widespread Glitch===
After the load screen you are able to hear the distressed voices of Lucy and Rebecca who apparently did not witness the events within the maze and were "worried that [they] were losing" Desmond. The Game proceeds with a cut scene before Desmond is free to explore the "real" world as he would when he normally leaves the Animus.

However, the nature of this cut scene is confounded by a widespread glitch that essentially traps Desmond within the geometry of the Animus' chair. The cut-scene proceeds with Lucy talking to Desmond as if he were standing next to her, when he is actually stuck vibrating strangely in the chair. After the cut-scene Desmond is playable, but he is still stuck within the chair severely limiting his movement and making it impossible for him to discuss the strange events that just occurred with Lucy, Shaun or Rebecca. They do not discuss the events of The Final Truth with you in any other instance in the game.

This problem has lead to a lot of uproar in forums about the game especially considering the strange and confusing nature of the events preceding it. Players who were hoping for a bit of insight by triggering conversations with Lucy, Shaun and Rebecca are instead met with frustration as they discover the glitch that destroys the opportunity.

It is not known if this is a universal problem, but it is certainly a widespread one. Forums and Discussions online talk about ''rumored'' players who were able to escape the glitch and continue, but no talk of or from people who were unaffected by it. Ubisoft has not commented on this problem and there is nothing at their support site http://support.ubi.com about the issue.

Immediately After solving the final cluster and witnessing a short video that reads "The miracle is in the execution," suggesting that (unlike [[The Truth|the video]] hidden in the previous game) the Cluster puzzles instead concealed an executable file. Upon accessing it, Desmond will then be uploaded to an unknown area within the Animus, where he is free to run through a somewhat long virtual maze similar to those within the [[Animus Virtual Training Program]]. At the end of the maze, Desmond finds a hologram (partially broken and made of computing code) of Subject 16, who tells Desmond that all hope is lost, and to go to Eden to find a woman named Eve. Before leaving, he tells Desmond to "find me in the darkness." The program ends with the ground collapsing from under Desmond's feet, a loading screen begins showing Desmond in free fall.
===After the Final Truth, Widespread Glitch===
After the load screen you are able to hear the distressed voices of Lucy and Rebecca who apparently did not witness the events within the maze and we "worried that [they] were losing" Desmond. The Game proceeds with a cut scene before Desmond is free to explore the "real" world as he would when he normally leaves the Animus.

However, the nature of this cut scene is confounded by a widespread glitch that essentially traps Desmond within the geometry of the Animus' chair. The cut-scene proceeds with Lucy talking to Desmond as if he were standing next to her, when he is actually stuck vibrating strangely in the chair. After the cut-scene Desmond is playable, but he is still stuck within the chair severely limiting his movement and making it impossible for him to discuss the strange events that just occurred with Lucy, Shaun or Rebecca. They do not discuss the events of The Final Truth with you in any other instance in the game.

This problem has lead to a lot of uproar in forums about the game especially considering the strange and confusing nature of the events preceding it. Players who were hoping for a bit of insight by triggering conversations with Lucy, Shaun and Rebecca are instead met with frustration as they discover the glitch that destroys the opportunity.

It is not known if this is a universal problem, but it is certainly a widespread one. Forums and Discussions online talk about ''rumored'' players who were able to escape the glitch and continue, but no talk of or from people who were unaffected by it. Ubisoft has not commented on this problem and there is nothing at their support site http://support.ubi.com about the issue.
