It was found by the [[Assassins|Assassin]] [[Ezio Auditore da Firenze]] in the [[Ottoman Empire|Ottoman]] [[Renaissance]], when returning to [[Sofia Sartor|Sofia Sartor's]] [[Book Shops|bookshop]] after the events in [[Cappadocia]] to discover [[Yusuf Tazim|Yusuf]]'s corpse, with the dagger and a note attached to it in his back.

The dagger could also be obtained by completing the memory [[The Trickster, Part 1]].
