'''''Bonfire of the Vanities''''' is the latter of two downloadable contents announced by Ubisoft, and is planned to be released on February 25, 2010. Costing $4.99/£3.09, the DLC will open up the southern quarter of [[Florence]] previously sealed off and revolves around the monk [[Savonarola]], who is controlling the city in absence of the [[Medici]]. Using the [[Piece of Eden]]; which he stole from a fatally wounded [[Ezio Auditore da Firenze|Ezio Auditore]] after his confrontation with [[Checco Orsi]], Savonarola was able to control the city’s nine most influential citizens, and use them for his own means.

The DLC will offer several new additions to the game, including ten new missions, a new manoeuvre – the spring-jump – which allows Ezio to jump twice as far as normal, the southern part of the city of Florence and access to the three [[Secret Locations|Templar Lairs]] (previously Limited Edition exclusives); the Palazzo Medici, Santa Maria dei Frari and Arsenal Shipyard.
