The Gunpowder Plot was a virtual representation of one of Edward Kenway's genetic memories, relived by a research analyst at Abstergo Entertainment through the Animus.

Description
Hoping to escape Nassau, Edward and Charles Vane devise a plan for which they will need gunpowder.

Dialogue
*Vane: Look at them turncoats. Makes me bloody ill to think how many times I put up with Hornigold and his self-righteous shite.
*Rogers: Verily, you are a man of principle, Captain Hornigold. A man I believe I can trust with my best ideas.
*Edward: Faith, and we'll survive, Charles. With our pride intact.
*Vane: Well, that's confidence. You brewed a plan I might get a taste of?
*Edward: Nassau is over, that's plain to see. I say we skip out tonight, and regroup at my compound.
*Vane: Fair enough. What's your angle?
*Edward: The Brits have brought their supplies ashore, see? If we nick some gunpowder and pine pitch, we can build a fire ship and send it straight at the blockade, blasting it to smithereens.
*Vane: Aye. We'll use Rackham's ship . He ain't a capable captain.
*Edward: My conscience is clear.
*Vane: Right. While you get up the gunpowder, I'll secure the pine pitch.
Edward robbed four gunpowder storages.

Outcome
Edward stole the gunpowder needed for their plot.
A Roll of the Dice was a virtual representation of one of Ezio Auditore da Firenze's genetic memories, relived by Desmond Miles in 2012 through the Animus.

Description
Upon returning to Rome in 1506, Ezio Auditore visited his old friend Leonardo da Vinci at his workshop. Ezio informed Leonardo that he wished to charter a ship, and that the Apple had been put to rest. Leonardo told Ezio of his research and a possible breakthrough associated with Pythagoras. Eager to help his friend, Leonardo wished to accompany Ezio to the docks to locate a captain, but he could not leave without his assistant Salaì. Ezio left the workshop to retrieve Leonardo's assistant at La Volpe Addormentata.

Dialogue
Ezio arrived at Leonardo's workshop, seeking his assistance in chartering a ship.
* Leonardo: Salaì? Is that you? Ezio! I must be getting lazy in my old age. I did not know you had returned to Roma.
* Ezio: Unfortunately, I cannot stay. I am here to charter a ship.
* Leonardo: Let me assist you! I know a captain, he is very discreet. Hang on, I have the name recorded somewhere.
Ezio looked over scrolls set upon a table in the workshop.
* Ezio: What are you working on?
* Leonardo: Oh this? A hobby of mine. Of course you are familiar with Pythagoras!
* Ezio: Remind me.
* Leonardo: The brilliant scholar from Grecia (Greece) who discovered many secrets about the heavenly spheres and our cosmos.
* Ezio: These symbols come from him?
* Leonardo: Ever since my exploration of that strange Apple, they have been stamped on my mind. I found symbols like them in the writings of the Pythagorean disciples.
Leonardo searched for the name of the captain to no success.
* Leonardo: I am afraid the captain's name escapes me.

* Ezio: The Apple has been put to rest. Perhaps it would do you good to focus on painting. You seem to be doing decent work on this one.
The pair gazed upon an unfinished Mona Lisa.
* Leonardo: Ha! You are kind, however even I can see that she is badly drawn. And that smile? Overdone. Meaningless. But forget painting, I made a breakthrough in my research several days ago. A huge discovery. Salaì! Can you bring the-- Oh he is not back! I intended to accompany you to the docks, but we cannot leave my workshop without my assistant.
* Ezio: Bene. (Good.) An easy task.
* Leonardo: I am afraid you underestimate Salaì!
* Ezio: Heh. Wait and see.
* Leonardo: Suit yourself. You will likely find him at La Volpe Addormentata (The Sleeping Fox).
Ezio arrived at the Thieves guild and found Leonardo's assistant gambling .
* Salaì: Di nuovo! (Again!)
* Hermeticist: I told you those dice were lucky.
* Salaì: Fortuna wishes she were as good as me.
* Ezio: Gian Giacomo?
* Salaì: I do not answer to that name.
* Ezio: Salaì.
* Salaì: Better. But not good enough. Yes! Di nuovo! (Again!)
* Ezio: Leonardo, your master, requests your presence.
* Salaì: Let him wait.
* Ezio: No.

Salaì paused and stood to face Ezio.
* Salaì: Nice hood. Are you one of Julius's monks?
* Ezio: My church is not of God.
* Salaì: Outside the kingdom of God is the realm of men. You worship there, Messere (Sir)?
* Ezio: Come with me and find out.
* Salaì: It has been fun, but I must go.
* Hermeticist: Please, do not depart. The game is not finished.
* Salaì: Sorry, but a better offer has arisen. (to Ezio) Lead on, Messere (Sir).
Ezio and Salaì left La Volpe Addormentata, but were followed by three Hermeticists.
* Ezio: The three men from the dice game follow us. Stay quiet--
* Salaì: Why? (to the Hermeticists) Sentite! (Listen!) I am done playing.
* Hermeticist: So are we!
The three men drew arms to attack Ezio and Salaì, and were joined by a larger group of Hermeticists. Ezio killed the attackers.
* Salaì: There is only one man in Roma who can put on a show like that. You must be Ezio Auditore.
* Ezio: Come. We need to return to Leonardo right away.
* Salaì: You do not talk much, do you? Fine. I will run ahead. You catch up.
Ezio left to meet with Salaì and was attacked by multiple groups of Hermeticists along the way. He eventually met with Salaì in the Centro district.
* Salaì: These strangers do not quit.
* Ezio: Disciples wearing similar robes appeared once before. They sought an... object I had in my possession.

* Salaì: You mean, the Piece of Eden?
* Ezio: Leonardo told you?
* Salaì: He tells me everything.
* Ezio: I fear his indiscretion has cost us greatly. We must warn him.
* Salaì: Say no more. I know the best route home. I take it every morning after the taverns close. Follow me.
Ezio followed Salaì on his route to the workshop, and they saw a group of Hermeticists searching for them.
* Salaì: I am going around. How about some fun on the rooftops?
* Ezio: Leonardo told me that he had discovered something important.
* Salaì: He has been exploring a hidden catacomb for years now. I think he came to Roma to find it. You have no idea what he is like. He works on this all the time, he never takes me out. And he is so cheap! I have to beg him for money.
* Ezio: He actually gives coins to you?
* Salaì: More or less. What he does not know will not hurt him. Allora (So), you are from Firenze? Tell me more.
* Salaì: Fine, I will use my imagination.
The pair spotted another group of Hermeticists.
* Salaì: It is too early in the day for fighting. Follow me.
* Ezio: Leonardo discovered something in the catacombs?
* Salaì: He found the entrance to a temple, something he read about in his books. I have not seen him that excited in years.
* Ezio: Did he say anything else?
* Salaì: That the temple contains the perfect number, something discovered by some scholar from Grecia.
* Ezio: Pythagoras.
Ezio and Salaì were attacked once more on a rooftop.
* Salaì: Get them!
: Taste my blade!
: Try this on for size!
The pair defeated their attackers.
* Ezio: Knowing Leonardo, I suppose he spoke of his discovery to whomever would listen. Did you notice any robed men around him?
* Salaì: Why would I spend my time at the workshop when I can go out and have fun? Ask the master himself when you get there.
Ezio and Salaì finally arrived at the workshop. Leonardo was nowhere to be found.
* Salaì: Maestro!
* Ezio: They took him.
* Salaì: No. He must be here.
* Salaì: Ezio... something is written on the floor.
* Ezio: What does it say?
* Salaì: I cannot read. Leonardo promised to teach me. But now...
* Salaì: I remember when Leonardo lived at your villa, he was researching the location of the catacombs.
* Ezio: Several of his paintings hung in the gallery there. What do they have to do with the temple?
* Salaì: Perhaps the pages of his research are hidden in one of the frames?
* Ezio: The paintings are gone. They all burned in the attack.
* Salaì: No, they did not - only "Leda" and "St. John." The Borgia took the rest.
* Ezio: Six paintings.
* Salaì: Five. I told the art merchant that "Portrait of a Lady" was by Leonardo. I needed the money for a doublet. Of course, now it has gone out of fashion.
* Ezio: Who has the paintings now?
* Salaì: Lucrezia Borgia, in her husband's palazzo outside Ferrara.
* Ezio: Then it is time I took back what was stolen.

Outcome
Ezio and Salaì realized that Leonardo had been kidnapped, and that the villa paintings contained clues to finding him. Ezio left for Ferrara in search of the next clue.

* Ezio: Remind me.

* Salaì: Di nuovo! (Again!)
* Hermeticist: I told you those dice were lucky.
* Salaì: Fortuna wishes she were as good as me.
* Ezio: Gian Giacomo?
* Salaì: I do not answer to that name.
* Ezio: Salaì.
* Salaì: Better. But not good enough. Yes! Di nuovo! (Again!)
* Ezio: Leonardo, your master, requests your presence.
* Salaì: Let him wait.
* Ezio: No.

* Hermeticist: So are we!

* Ezio: Leonardo told you?
* Ezio: Pythagoras.
Ezio and Salaì were attacked once more on a rooftop.
* Salaì: Get them!
: Taste my blade!
: Try this on for size!
Ezio and Salaì realized that Leonardo had been kidnapped, and that the villa paintings contained clues to finding him. Ezio left for Ferrara in search of the next clue.
Duncan Little (1730 – unknown) was an Irish member of the Colonial Brotherhood of Assassins, who lived in Boston during the latter half of the 18th century. While living in Boston, he acted as a mediator, and was recruited to the Assassin Brotherhood by the Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton in northern Boston.

Biography
Duncan originally hailed from Ireland and was the youngest son of a particularly large family. He later entered into priesthood at a young age, and was sent to Africa as a missionary in 1756. Little spent several years there, but in 1760, he returned to Ireland and subsequently abandoned the priesthood entirely.

After this, Duncan sailed to Boston in 1763, after receiving harsh treatment by his family for his abandonment of the Catholic Church. Little then settled in Boston's northern section, in which he gained a reputation for being an appreciated mediator that was less expensive than the local judiciary.

Due to his mediation position, he often assisted others with solving their problems, generally by dissuading them from a violent resolution. During the 1770s, Duncan became Connor's ally in the fight against a group of mercenaries threatening people's livelihoods in north Boston.

Duncan suggested forming a gang to attack the mercenary leader at the port his men were based at. After assassinating him, Connor revealed the mercenary was a member of the Templars. Duncan was skeptical, believing the Knights Templar were just a story, but regardless, he offered to assist Connor whenever he needed him.

Connor then contracted Duncan on several missions, and in 1776, Connor's mentor, Achilles Davenport, called on Duncan, Stephane Chapheau and Clipper Wilkinson to prevent Connor from being executed on false charges in New York. Five years later, Duncan, Stephane, Deborah Carter, and Jacob Zenger helped the Marquis de Lafayette clear the tunnels to New York's militarized district, as part of Connor's plot to infiltrate Fort George and assassinate Charles Lee.

Some time during his involvement with the Assassins, Duncan and Connor met in a tavern, where Duncan told his friend of the time that he had seen Connor's father Haytham after the man had killed Duncan's uncle, the Assassin Miko, in the Theatre Royal in London.

Trivia
*Duncan's database entry mentions that he was born in 1730, making him about 24 years old when his uncle was murdered in Theatre Royal, while the child present was significantly younger. However, such database discrepancies have occurred previously.
*Duncan was often seen holding a cross by a chain when sitting in a tavern, as he was once a priest and missionary. However, he also seems to dress in reverse of the traditional priestly attire, with a black collar in place of a white one. Accompanying this, Duncan mentioned his progressive views on religion when discussing how they affected his home country of Ireland.
*Duncan did not appear in the tunnels if Connor had not recruited him.
Piracy is an act of robbery or criminal violence, typically at sea, and can also range to naval warfare and coastal raids. Acts of piracy can be committed on land, in the air, or in other bodies of water including shores.

An individual who participates in piracy is known as a pirate, though they should not be confused with privateers; state-sponsored sailors allowed to steal from the ships of enemy countries.

In the early 18th century, a large number of pirates, privateers and other sailors congregated in the recently captured settlement of Nassau and together formed the Brethren of the Coast, in order to better represent and coordinate their interests.

History
Pirates sailed the Mediterranean Sea during the Middle Ages, including a group of Cypriot pirates who allied with the Templars controlling Cyprus. During Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's trip to Cyprus in 1191, a pirate named Pasha sailed him to Kyrenia. However, the majority of the pirates there attempted to capture him for the Templars. When Altaïr returned to Limassol, he assassinated their captain.

Around 1321, the Templars in Italy hired pirates to steal Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's Codex from Domenico Auditore, murdering his wife in the process.

In 1511, Al-Scarab was an honorable pirate who sought revenge on Ezio Auditore da Firenze for humiliating him, but after they worked together to fight off some watchmen, he returned the favor by sailing him to Acre. Soon after, the Ottoman Assassins allied with the Barbary pirates Hayreddin Barbarossa to undermine Spanish control of Algiers. Also active at the time were the Templar pirate, Eveline Guerra, and Blaise Legros, whose only loyalty was to money, transporting Templars and Assassins wherever they desired so long as they could pay him.

The Golden Age of Piracy was considered to have taken place from the late 17th century to the early 18th century in the Caribbean Sea. During this time, William Kidd was a Scottish privateer active in the area. He was captured and executed on charges of piracy in 1701, but in truth, the accusations were made by Templars hoping he would reveal the location of the Shard of Eden he had found.

Edward Kenway was a British privateer-turned-pirate active in the Caribbean, who joined the Assassins later into his life. In the pirate republic of Nassau , Edward interacted with many pirates such as Stede Bonnet, Mary Read, Edward Thatch, Benjamin Hornigold, Charles Vane, Jack Rackham and Anne Bonny, with many of them eventually banding together to form a coalition they referred to as "the Bretheren of the Coast". However their capital, Nassau , fell to the British in 1718. Most of the captains who had formed the group died over the years, leading to the Bretheren's dissolution by 1722.
The economic system referred to the transactions and trade that individuals partook in. To do this, money could be earned to purchase weapons and equipment from merchants by fulfilling assassination contracts, pickpocketing, hiring thieves, looting treasure chests, or other more legitimate means.

15th century
Banks were an essential part of everyday Renaissance life. Ezio Auditore da Firenze came from a family of bankers, and by investing in renovating Monteriggioni, he and his sister Claudia received a share of the profits. Ezio used the money to pay for the following:
*Services offered by blacksmiths, doctors and tailors
*Hiring mercenaries, courtesans and thieves
*Bribing heralds
*Buying paintings - improving the value of the Villa Auditore - and maps from art merchants to find treasure chests
*Lessons from mercenaries on how to use long weapons, two-handed weapons and throwing knives
*Caravan travel

Thieves would also attempt to rob Ezio; in the event that money had been stolen from him, Ezio could tackle or kill the thief to get it back.

16th century
During the liberation of Rome, Ezio generated income by lending money to reopen shops and faction buildings, repair aqueducts, restore sewer tunnels, and buy shares in landmarks.

He could also find exotic items in chests around the city to trade for special upgrades from the stores in Tiber Island, and repurchase the inventions of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's Codex from Leonardo da Vinci. Upon restoring the city of Rome completely, Ezio was reunited with the Auditore cape for his efforts.

When Ezio arrived in Constantinople, many shops were closed after the Byzantines had captured the Assassin Dens and the surrounding area. By recapturing a Den, Ezio could reopen the shops, banks and faction buildings, and they would remain open even if the Templars reoccupied a Den. However, should the Templars ever do so, there would be an additional 15% tax cost on all items that could be bought.

Ezio could then use the money earned by his share in Constantinople's shops to renovate other cities reclaimed from the Templars, increasing his daily payment of akçe. He could also increase his revenue by purchasing items from book shops, improving the value of the library in Galata headquarters. During his time in the city, he learned to use bombs and began buying them from black market dealers, and received ingredients from his apprentices in other cities, once they had surveyed the region for the Master Assassin Piri Reis.

18th century
The economy of the American colonies in the 18th century were based around the crafting and trading of goods. Ratonhnhaké:ton (known also as Connor) and Aveline de Grandpré earned money by arranging the transportation of materials and goods found or bought from those on the Davenport Homestead via land and naval convoys.

Profits made through convoys were determined by where and which merchant or port they traded with, with naval convoys earning more than than those sent to Boston, New York or the Frontier via land routes.

Lance O'Donnell could craft a total of three land convoys, with a maximum capacity of eight items to trade per convoy, and three naval convoys with a maximum capacity of fifteen tradeable items. Liberating forts and undertaking privateer contracts in the Aquila made the trade routes safer, lowering the risk percentage as well as lowering taxes.

For example, the risk of a naval convoy being attacked dropped from 80% to 5% after the Aquila had cleared the route. In the event of the convoy being attacked while on the road, Connor would be notified that it was in danger, and had to defend it himself or send his recruits to do so, otherwise the profits would be lost. There was nothing that could be done if a naval convoy was lost at sea however.

Unlike Renaissance Italy, general stores provided all the items Connor needed. He could make money by selling them his hunting spoils, the value and quantity of which depended on how the animal was killed.

Game slain by a single strike of an arrow, poison darts or the Hidden Blade was worth more than spoils slashed or shot by a weapon multiple times, such as firearms, trip mines, and rope darts, which ruined pelts and skins. The Aquila could also be upgraded with purchases made from harbormasters, making the vessel a more formidable force for Connor during privateer contracts.

Trivia
*Ezio, Edward, Haytham and Connor could throw money to attract a crowd of civilians, distracting the guards and assassination targets, or to dismiss irritating minstrels or orphans.
*While conventional trade was unavailable in Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines, upgrades for Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad could be purchased by finding Templar coins.
Calling All Stand-Ins was a virtual representation of one of Ezio Auditore da Firenze's genetic memories, relived by Desmond Miles in 2012 through the Animus.

Description
Ezio Auditore and La Volpe inquired about the whereabouts of Pietro Rossi, who was to be murdered by Cesare Borgia's butcher, Micheletto Corella. Unable to locate Pietro, Ezio instead found Micheletto and trailed him to the various locations where he met with his men and gave them their costumes for the play. Using his apprentices, Ezio killed and gathered the costumes from Micheletto's men and prepared to infiltrate the play at the Colosseum.

Dialogue
La Volpe conversed with one of his spies.
*La Volpe: Where is Pietro?
*Spy: I cannot tell you. But Micheletto waits at the city gates east of the Terme di Traiano (Baths of Trajan). He intends to disguise his men to make the killing look like an accident.
*Ezio: He will lead me to Lucrezia's lover.
*La Volpe: Ezio, Machiavelli has betrayed us. We would both wish to deny it, but the truth is now clear. Do what needs to be done. If you don't, I will.
*Ezio: Without Volpe's thieves I may require the help of my recruits.

La Volpe refused to aid Ezio any further, and Ezio decided to use his recruits as support.

Ezio reached the Porta Nomentana in his search for Micheletto. He found him, along with Cesare and his guards, with a prisoner, Francesco Troche.
*Francesco: Please, I have done nothing.
*Cesare: Francesco Troche, dear friend. Would I lie to you? You told your brother about my war plan in Romagna, who contacted the ambassador of Venezia.
*Francesco: It was an accident. I am still your servant and ally.

*Cesare: Are you demanding that I discount your actions and rely on friendship?
*Francesco: I am asking... not demanding.
*Cesare: To unite Italia, I must have every institution under my control. And if the Church does not fall in the line, I will eliminate it entirely.
*Francesco: You know that I really work for you, not the Pope.
*Cesare: Ah. But do I, Troche? There's only one way I can know that unconditionally now.
*Francesco: You intend to kill me? Your most loyal friend?
*Cesare: Of course not.
*Francesco: Are you letting me go? Thank you, Cesare. You will not regret-
Micheletto strangled Francesco to death.
*Cesare: Guards! Give Micheletto the costumes for the play. Lucrezia is mine. No one else shall have her. (to Micheletto) Make doubly sure it is done correctly.
*Micheletto: I obey, Cesare.
*Cesare: Oh yes. Dump Francesco's body in the Tevere (Tiber).

Ezio followed Micheletto as he delivered the costumes for the play to his men around Roma.
*Micheletto: Once you get dressed, you follow me to the play. Capito? (Understand?) <br />Tieni. (Here.)<br />This is for you.<br />Il tuo costume (Your costume.)
Micheletto arrived at the Colosseum, unaware that his men had been replaced by Assassins. He spoke with the guards stationed at the gates.
*Micheletto: I seek Pietro.
*Guard: He acts on stage, Signore (Sir). One of my men will take you to him.
*Micheletto: (to the disguised Assassin) Don't forget, I wear the black shirt. Protect me and wait for Pilate's call to the Centurion to strike.

Outcome
Ezio discovered where Pietro was to be killed and all of Micheletto's men were assassinated by Ezio's recruits, who entered the Colosseum disguised in costumes for the play.
