Ubisoft's right, it doesn't matter what mode you're playing, you'll always be playing as Arno. This isn't like an Assassin's Creed MMO, you're not fully making your own character. AC is all story driven so it's easier to play as one, set, person the entire game. That person just happens to be a twenty-one year old white male.

I know, I like the idea of having a big order, a master to take contracts from and other assassin's to interact with. In ACIV they tried to take it back like it was in AC1, with a big order and all but, Edward is not an Assassin until the end and you don't really do much interaction with the Brotherhood. Only the Templar Hunt missions which were just for self benefit and not about helping the Brotherhood.

It looks like we'll be able to pick our weapons again like from past AC's and not be forced to only use dual swords like in ACIV. Also, that guy with the staff leads me to think those can be primary weapons now, and can't only be picked up from guards.
