He served the Sultan until his loyalty to him dissolved, after the Sultan's ambitions to conquer the world subsided. From then on, he joined the Templars in the hopes of bringing order and glory to a world ruled by chaos.

In 2012, his [[Genetic memory|genetic memories]] were used as an Animi Avatar by the Templar company [[Abstergo Industries]], for the training of their [[Animus]] [[Abstergo recruits|recruits]], under the title of the [[Vizier]].

Born in eastern Anatolia, Ali developed into an eminent and well-respected officer, as well as a loyal servant to Sultan Bayezid II. However, he began to embrace the Templar philosophy after the Sultan's conquering ambition declined.

===Encounter with the Assassins===

In 1511, Ali was robbed by a Templar [[Templar Tax Collectors|tax collector]] in [[Constantinople]]. As the [[Assassins|Assassin]] [[Mentor]], [[Ezio Auditore da Firenze|Ezio Auditore]], and one of his [[Apprentices]] witnessed the crime, they both began to chase the Templar. Following this, the Apprentice eventually caught up to the guard and assassinated him, handing the documents that they had retrieved over to Ezio.

Ezio then told his Apprentice to take care of the body, and that he would deliver the documents back to the vizier, to which he did successfully. Ali thanked Ezio, and inquired about "the Assassin" who was with Ezio.

Since he and his Apprentice had not revealed their ties to the man, Ezio briskly ignored the question and simply told Ali to enjoy his day, before leaving the man to himself.

Later that year, Ali had a group of [[Byzantines]] enter the [[Grand Bazaar]] and attack Ezio's Apprentice, the same one who had helped retrieve his documents. While this was happening, Ezio was alerted by a [[Civilians|civilian]] to the danger, and managed to arrive in time to protect his Apprentice. With the guards dealt with, the two of them began their escape.

However, on their way out of the bazaar, another group of Byzantines attacked the Assassins, and, after they were swiftly dealt with, Ezio told his Apprentice to hide.

Following this, Ali entered into the bazaar with two Byzantine guards accompanying him, and angrily demanded that his men bring the Assassins to justice. As he was solely focused on the sight before him, Ezio's Apprentice quickly and stealthily made their way behind Ali, before assassinating him, while his Byzantine companions could do nothing to help him as they failed to notice anything until it was too late.

In his last words, Ali stated that the Assassins constantly destroyed any and all of the progress the Templars had made, and that he could have delivered his people into the arms of the Templars had they not interfered.

'''Haras''' (unknown - 1189) was an [[Apprentices|apprentice]] [[Assassins|Assassin]], who defected to the [[Templars|Templar Order]] after becoming dissatisfied with his slow progression through the Assassin [[Ranks|ranks]].

==Biography==
During 1189, Haras betrayed the Assassin Order, and led an army of Templars to attack the Assassins' fortress of [[Masyaf]], of which many Assassins were killed in the defense and [[Rashid ad-Din Sinan|Al Mualim]] was captured. Arriving back at Masyaf on a horse, the Assassin [[Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad]] fought his way to the Assassin fortress and confronted Haras, who then threatened Altaïr with the death of Al Mualim.

Promptly retreating to the then Templar-occupied fortress, Haras proceeded to kill off the other Assassin hostages with his crossbow. Altaïr, who was locked outside the fortress by a portcullis gate, promptly scaled its walls and assassinated Haras.

As he died, Haras continued to defy the Assassins, claiming that the Templars knew the truth about [[Humans|humanity]] and that the Assassins' [[The Creed|Creed]] was wrong. Soon after, he passed away, after continuing to affirm to Altaïr of what he believed.

==Personality and characteristics==
According to Altaïr's suspicions, Haras was a man who sought the easy route instead of rightfully earning his place. He also had a reputation for being chameleon-like in combat, and could adapt his personality to suit others in order to find out their secrets.

However, his ambitions could take over him at times, leading to him hastily taking the opportunity to join the forces of the [[Crusaders]], donning their uniform as he betrayed his former Assassin brothers.
