The Pariah (real name: Ilario Lombardi) is a multiplayer character in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. This character is available along with the downloadable content The Da Vinci Disappearance. He uses a bolt gun as his primary weapon.

Unique Moves
(Low Profile, Front)

The Pariah draws his bolt gun and points it at his target's face. After a gesture of surrender from his victim, the Pariah mercilessly shoots them between their eyes, killing them instantly.

(High Profile, Front)

The Pariah grabs his target, forcing their head down. He then stuns his victim by hitting them in the back of the neck with his bolt gun, at the base of the spine, before following up by a shot to the side of the head.

(Low Profile, Back)

The Pariah grabs his target, wrapping his arm around their chest from behind, and puts his bolt gun to their head. Before his victim can react, he pulls the trigger, their lifeless body collapsing to the floor.

(High Profile, Back)

The Pariah forces his target to their knees, their back facing him. His victim is only given enough time to turn their head slightly before the Pariah pulls the trigger, sending their dead body falling forward to the ground.

(Bench Kill)

The Pariah stands in front of his target and yanks their head down, before hitting them in the spine at the back of the neck with the butt of his bolt gun to stun them. While his victim is still dazed, he shoots them under the chin, the bolt going into their brain and killing them instantly.

(Aerial Kill)

The Pariah jumps from a rooftop, landing on his target, before placing his bolt gun to the head of his target and pulling the trigger. The blast from his bolt gun ruptures his victim's jugular, causing them to die of blood loss. Afterwards, the Pariah stands up and stores his bolt gun away, leaving his target's dead body on the ground.

Customization
Colors:
*Basic: Yellow
*Extra 1: Red
*Extra 2: Mint/Celadon Green
*Extra 3: White

Gear:
*Advanced: Adds necklace and Templar logo on back of the coat.
*Superior: Adds fur to outline of hat and coat gains striped sections down it.
*Elite: Changes mask with cheekbones becoming gold, a golden decoration around the Pariah's left eye, and altered sleeves. Also, a change to the Templar logo on the back with a crown in the middle of the Templar cross.

Trivia
*The term 'Pariah' has come to mean outcast, and comes from a Tamil word 'Parai' for people who would try to draw attention by drumming on animal skin. Those assigned the title of Pariah were essentially excluded from society.
*The Pariah's kill animation for his High Profile, Front assassination is similar to the Engineer's High Profile, Front assassination, in the way that they both pull their target's head downwards.
*The Pariah is very similar in appearance to the target from the Assassin's Creeed 2 E3 Trailer.

Il Carnefice (1473 - 1500) was a member of the Templar Order, and an executioner active in Rome during the late 15th and early 16th century.

His genetic memories were later used by Abstergo Industries for the training of the Animus recruits, under the title of the Executioner.

Biography
Working for the Borgia
Around 1497, Il Carnefice worked under the direct employment of Cesare Borgia, often recieving instructions from him through Fiora Cavazza.

On one such instance, she brought him a list containing Cesare's next condemnations. Upon studying it, Il Carnefice acted serious, telling Fiora that her name was one of those listed, though he quickly revealed that he was only playing a prank on her, and admitted that he could not read.

While under the Borgia, Il Carnefice performed any execution assigned to him with both enthusiasm and brutality, often chopping off the body parts of his victims and displaying them to his approving audience. Fiora once described him as a beast, one she found more disgusting than intimidating.

Death
In 1500, Il Carnefice forced himself onto a woman named Livia, only to have her hanged afterwards. The woman's husband later mourned her death, but was unable to remove her body from the noose at the threat of being executed by Il Carnefice himself. Despite the threat, the man remained by her corpse mourning her, thus Il Carnefice sent several of his guards to arrest the grieving husband.

This caught the attention of the Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze, who decided to aid the man by rescuing him from the guards, then exacting his vengeance on Il Carnefice. Ezio infiltrated Il Carnefice's cliffside house in the north-west Centro District, where he was discussing his latest kill with an associate of his. He swiftly assassinated him from above with his Hidden Blade, bringing the executions of many innocent citizens to a halt.

Database Entry
Date of Birth: 1473<br />
Profession: Executioner

There's nothing in the history books about Il Carnefice, so I did a little digging in Abstergo's mainframe. Here's what I found: "A natural ally for the Borgia, Il Carnefice kills to the roar of an approving crowd."

The other small piece of information I could dig up is that he fancies himself as some sort of twisted artist. I guess that explains the crowd bit. I wonder if he does tricks while performing executions, or whether it's all in the subtle way he pulls the lever?

Trivia
*"Il Carnefice" simply translates to "The Executionor."
*Il Carnefice fights like a Brute when encountered.
*Il Carnefice's axe in the Story mode is not the same one he uses in Multiplayer. Instead, it is the Bearded Axe, a common weapon that is wielded by Brutes, and can be bought from Blacksmiths.
*Il Carnefice is the first multiplayer character encountered in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and is one of the three Templar agents to be killed in the main storyline.

Eagle Vision was a sixth sense that certain lineages of Assassins possessed, and was known to be only accessible to the descendants of humans who interbred with Those Who Came Before. Those who possessed this gift were able to instinctively sense how people and objects related to them, which manifested as a colored glowing, much like an aura would in a person's mind's eye.

When one learned to fully use eagle vision, the ability evolved to the more advanced Eagle Sense. This heightened all of the senses of its user, allowing them to eavesdrop on conversations, detect the heartbeat of a target in the area, or even foresee a target's path; which assisted in planning ambushes or setting traps.
Renaissance
Ezio Auditore
Ezio Auditore, much like his ancestor Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, possessed eagle vision, and made use of it to locate hidden passages, as well as to predict the intentions of his allies and enemies. Additionally, he was also able to see the map hidden beneath the pages of the Codex with it.

Though never referred to explicitly as "eagle vision," Giovanni Auditore once referred to Ezio's ability as his "talent," and Salaì spoke of it as his "gift."

Others
La Volpe was thought to possess an advanced form of eagle vision, as it was claimed he could "look through walls."

Giovanni Borgia also had eagle vision, and was able to use it to locate and tail Francesco Vecellio through a crowd. With it, he was also able to see things that were not really there. Francesco called the ability "using his other eyes."

Modern days
Assassins
By using the Animus to follow the memories of his ancestors, Desmond Miles also gained the ability to use eagle vision, likely as a result of the bleeding effect. Through it, he was able to see Lucy Stillman (a fellow Assassin) glowing blue and Warren Vidic (a Templar) glowing red.

He was also able to use this ability to see the cryptic messages that Subject 16 had written in the Abstergo laboratory with his own blood.

During his escape from Abstergo Industries, Desmond discovered another application for his newly-acquired power. Much like thermal vision, he used it to discover the code of a keypad, by seeing the heat signature or fingerprints left upon the correct numbers.

In a video clip hidden within one of his Glyphs (which needed to be scanned with eagle vision to be unlocked), Subject 16 stated "Behold the Assassins, the children of two worlds! Why do we have these gifts? Because it's in our blood." This implies that, because Altaïr, Ezio, Desmond and Subject 16 all have eagle vision, their bloodline is connected to Those Who Came Before.

Later, upon escaping to Monteriggioni, Desmond was also able to use eagle vision to see a message Ezio had left upon the wall of the Sanctuary stairwell, which bore the password to the Colosseum Vault.

Templars
Abstergo trainees using Animi to hone their skills were also granted an ability called Templar Vision. This rendered ability mimicked eagle vision, and allowed the user approximately 3.5 seconds of the gift.
Trivia
Assassin's Creed
*An Assassin guard in the Kingdom can be seen as glowing red, but reacts as all other guards do. This guard was originally supposed to have been Jamal, an Assassin who aided Masun in betraying the Brotherhood; however, the sequence where Altaïr assassinates him was cut from the final game, leaving him as a minor Easter egg.
*In the original Assassin's Creed, movement was prohibited while using eagle vision, and the player was required to be at maximum synchronization. This was changed, however, in succeeding games.
*Assassin's Creed states that the eagle vision ability is actually just the Animus' visualization of the Assassin's observational skills. However, as Juno later refers to Assassins seeing "the blue shimmer," the backstory for eagle vision was likely changed to be a real-world ability.

Assassin's Creed II
*When using eagle vision, Ezio himself is marked with blue, indicating him as an ally to any others with the ability.
*In the beginning of the game while playing as Desmond in the Hideout, use Eagle Vision and you will see that some equipment will shine blue as if they are allies. They are marked blue to show Desmond the objects that can be used for free-running.
*Lucy makes a reference to the ability by saying "Just open your eyes" when Desmond asks her how he would be able to find the Hideout's defense system sensors, which she had tasked him to switch on.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
*When traveling through Rome, eagle vision can be used to mark Flags, feathers or treasure chests on the map.
*While using eagle vision and roaming Monteriggioni as Desmond, a red trail is visible leading from the fountain with the Assassin insignia, until the door to Mario Auditore's study. The trail is colored similarly to the blood glyphs of Subject 16, and seems to be made up of many footprints that form a double helix (or DNA strand). Or the bleeding caused by Ezio when he was shoot by an arquebusier.
*When outside of the Animus, there is sometimes a pause that causes allies to glow gold for a few seconds.
*Unlike in Assassins Creed II, enemies and allies do not glow their standard colors after they die, and will just appear grey like civilians.
*When eagle vision is activated in some memories, water is shown to be glowing white like hiding spots.
*Unlike eagle vision, Templar vision marks targets with blue, rather than with gold because it is Templar hunting Templar and they are allies.

Others
*A mini-game in the Assassin's Creed room of PlayStation Home features an eagle vision puzzle that, when completed, opens up the Hideout.
